I've had so many terrible experiences with Xfinity mobile customer service reps on the phone that I literally scheduled an appointment to this store as a last minute, last ditch effort to get my fiancé's problem with not receiving SMS text messages on her iPhone 12 resolved. On the phone, they kept making us do the same diagnostic tests over and over taking hours at a time, not listening to us when we told them that we had taking all of the steps they were requiring. Then when it still wouldn't work, they'd tell us to go to Apple bc they should be able to fix it. Then, Apple would run tests and tell us the issue was Xfinity mobile. Wash, rinse, repeat cycle. Phone still broken. Today I walked into the Xfinity store on Assateague Drive and met Omar McCauley and could instantly tell, above all else, he had empathy for our situation. He was the exact opposite of every single person we spoke to on the phone, the 8 times we called Xfinity Mobile in the past. Omar helped us immediately, spending about an hour on the phone with engineers from his company and fixed her phone! My fiancé was so happy and if you know anything about me, her happiness makes me happy, so THANK YOU, Omar for your wonderful customer service. Don't give them your social security number. They said it was to make sure that my phone was compatible. This bitch (a man, not a woman), took my information and he told me that my phone was compatible and that my phone service would be free because i have the internet service i have so, it would be considered a bundle. I told this bitch no, i just swithed to Visible, which is the smaller company of verizon. He kept trying to pitch me. I still said no. Then, i asked him...well.. "if i change my mind, can i come back and get it?" To which this bitches response was "yes, when you're ready.... you cam come to me and we can get you started. ...let me give you my card." This is my second time in here this week dropping off equipment that I did not order. When I came in the first time the Rep check me I n and scanned the equipment and gave me my receipt. Today I got checked in and I have been waiting 20min so far then the tech who checked me is now taking someone else's equipment. I went to this location multiple times within a day and also within a week just trying to return equipment and pick up new equipment. They were extremely busy and had a long wait so I left the store and then made an appointment. I came back during my appointment only to find out they didn't have the unit I needed after confirming with the representative who helped me schedule over the phone they did have it. I've recently moved already had an Xfinity mobile account so I just wanted to add wifi and I told the associate that and he created me a brand New acct. and screwed my entire account up to the point where now I can't pay the bill I've been trying to for two days. I called customer service was on the phone for four hours. I've been inside the store four times this week alone just to walk back out the store after sitting there for an hour and a half with them basically telling me that there's nothing that they can do they escalated the issue and I would have to wait and in the meantime, I let them know I am a full-time Uber driver and that they will be putting out of work until the solution is fixed. My husband went here Friday 7/25/2025 and waited 4 hours to not have a phone with his old phone number with a rep stating he was a manager that clearly was not after someone else had to come over to help cause the first guy had NOT ONE CLUE what he was doing - They said they needed 72 hours and gave him a temp number - Came back Monday 7/28/2025 to be told nothing was done and they had no solution still - Said they would start to work on it and give us a call - It is now Wednesday 7/30/2025 and still no call or anything - GOING BACK TO VERIZON TODAY - Xfinity is a joke and customer service is severely lacking. read more

There was an UGLY person complaining nonstop and speaking in such a hateful manner towards the associate and manager, but the Xfinity team in Jessup were professional and kind even though the gentleman was being ignorant!!! We (the clients) started the day off HOT and impatient, but Carlos, Edwin, and Yelissa turned this experience around and definitely went above and beyond to make the wait worthwhile. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Came to get new equipment several month ago. The rep added a random number to the account, then tech support and online customer service spent 4 hours to get this fixed. When it come time to return the equipment and close another account, the rep stated that a point was closed, yet a week later and no one at Xfinity has a record of the account being closed or equipment being returned. Many thanks to Errol for wonderful customer service and care! I am a new Xfinity customer and had been struggling for a few days to get my internet up and running. Having spoken to a few representatives on the phone with no luck, I came back to this location where I originally got my equipment to swap it out. Errol went above and beyond to address this issue and answered all my questions! I have now activated my services but if I run into any other issues I know who to ask! First of all, why are they hiding all of the negative reviews under " not recommended "? I know for a fact that it's because companies can pay yelp to hide their bad reviews there. In the store - so ignorant and untrained, they do not even know what modem goes with what service. Had to take another day off work trying to get it straightened out on the phone, which was another nightmare. It took over a day on the phone to find out they gave me the wrong modem and that's why it didn't work. Then, I will have to waste my Saturday going back. Will the kids even know what the correct modem is the 2nd time -- I doubt it -- they are clueless I also have to take another day off work because Comcast has a work order stuck in the system they say they can't delete. WTF?/?? Don't they know ppl need their internet for work?//? They know, but they don't care. Then on the phone they say I need to sign many more contracts for my service even though I set it up both online and in the store, and have the printouts. They say too bad, they show it hasn't been done. I guarantee this will take hours more. The people in the store don't know how to do this right and can't be bothered, so I have to call back again and spend another hour on hold and see if by any chance the next person who answers knows anything about my contract. This is a garbage company, pure garbage. Bad service, dishonest, they also are incompetent. Liars. You get there and they tell you that you are next. What they don't tell you is that there are 5 appointments ahead of you, people who haven't arrived yet, but who get preference. They say 10 minute wait, but it is at least an hour. Verizon comes out right away and sets you up. Verizon takes 5 minutes. Comcast won't come out. They give you the wrong equipment, because the kids at the desk are clueless. They also give you a screw in cord so short it is impossible to plug it in and have it be long enough to set the modem down on a flat surface. Verizon come out and gives you the proper equipment. With Comcast after a week of missing work because of no internet, and still they have no idea what is going on. I was immediately greeted upon entering, I was asked the nature of my visit. I informed the Xfinity employee that I was returning a router, because of a recent upgraded that was recently delivered. I was told to remove the cord place it in the box, place the router on the table. I was then directed to the back of the store, to receive my receipt. WORST service. I miss the old rep who went to White Marsh -Dyshea got things DONE. Was insulted the first time (end of November) when the guy (Tollo or something close- African dialect) only wanted to sell me an I PHONE that I did not want. He said he only liked IPhone. The second visit time(1 month+ later) I walked in and was immediately asked near the door, if I wanted to pay my bill-instead of the rep hearing what I wanted. The next rep encountered- Tollo (sp.) began with wrong info when I asked about getting a replacement phone. I had to tell him of the current promotion, that I could get a promo and that it would work for current customers. He DID NOT know anything about GOOGLE phone when asked, but AGAIN said he only used IPHONE. WHY ??? do they get PAID 4 this stuff ? I got him to go online to verify info from XFINTITY MOBILE site. He then tried to start the transaction- assumed that I couldn't pay for my phone- told me I had to pay up to 30 months and the promo money would be used over that time, when computer SYSTEM FROZE. I started writing this article and began to focus on the reason why I turned in my cable boxes and choice to cut the cable. Then that would not be a true Yelp review and then my review will get pulled and I get a stern warning from the Yelp constabularies. Customer service in person at this store is awesome. Customer service over the phone not so much. Anyway I stopped in one a Friday afternoon to turn in two cable boxes. I have to say the staff was very friendly and there was none of this walking around hoping that someone would offer help. For some reason that happens a great deal to me when I enter a place of business for some reason. I wonder why....... Oh well. The staff was very helpful and took my equipment with no questions. In fact the person who was helping me said I was of many in the last few months deciding to just cut cable and go streaming and over the air. It was nice as she gave me a receipt for the equipment I turned in. For many this would seem little but the fact that she did something that would save the customer from a hassle without being asked means a great deal. My only issue and not really a big issue was that you cannot cut off your cable service from the store. Instead you have to call their 1 800 number and speak with a representative who puts it in the computer system that you are turning off your cable. Scratching my head on that one. Not sure why in this age of the internet that this extra step was required with it all being connected. In total I was in and out in about eight minutes. The parking lot is tight so keep your head on a swivel as it stays busy and plenty of people are turning in at a high rate of speed off the main road. read more

I worked with Lisa to get my phone switched from AT&T to Xfinity mobile. The first day I went in the billing system was down nationwide which wasn't a positive attribute to me as a new customer. I went back the next day and Lisa helped me get my phone ported, new sim, and new service. Having great customer service is a plus for any company. I went to the Xfinity Store in Jessup MD on September 29th in an attempt to validate an order for an iPhone that had been placed by a family member. A store employee whose name I heard as "David" spent several minutes in a purported effort to resolve the issue, but ultimately asserted that cancelling the order and re-creating it would be easiest. I foolishly agreed, only to find, after he had submitted the new order and charged my credit card for the first payment, that some key details were wrong. I went back into the store, within 20-30 minutes, and asked that the order be cancelled. He initially indicated that any needed changes could be made after the phone was delivered. When I insisted that it be cancelled, he perfunctorily touched the screen of his device and claimed that he had cancelled it. This turned out to be untrue, since the phone has been shipped and is due to be delivered this week. Should I chalk this up to dishonesty or incompetence? Either way, it was very unsatisfactory service. read more

Went in to get some info on switching from Verizon fios so I wanted to see what type of deals they had going on. I walked around for at least five minutes before anyone even acknowledged my presence. When they finally did, a woman yelled across the room and asked me to come over to her as she stood behind a desk. I asked about any deals to switch, she simply handed me a laminated sheet with a bunch of info on it. She never even spoke to me and looked away when she handed over the material. I reviewed the sheet for a few minutes as she stood there looking away. There were three employees standing there completely disinterested in any modicum of costumer service. Upon seeing this I simply placed the sheet down and walked away. Absolutely the worst customer service that I've encountered anywhere. read more

I had a complex problem that began months ago with a Comcast clerical error. Jazime actually resolved an issue that online and phone ( over an hour on hold ) could not! Not to mention having a tech come out two different times to work on the box and also another call of more than an hour hold on the phone to be told that the box must have been being tried to be updated during the night and if it did not work again after having been on hold with a tec that we would have to arrange for another technician to come out to service it or return the box. Oh by the way you have to be on hold to get a new number for a service ticket to return the box !!! No manager was on duty and three emploees now in the store that was empty. Unfortunately Verizon is closing the store on July 1. I guess employees that actually take care of a customer are rewarded by having the location closed. read more

Ordered Xfinity Internet they came out and installed it charged me for the install however they just leave the lines laying across the yard. When I called them about coming out and finishing the job that they charged me for they told me I have to make an appointment to have my issue resolved. This was a problem but they didn't complete their appointment and what they charged me for when I told them I'm concerned about people coming through and cutting the lawn when they start mowing they seem to not care. Telling me again I have to make an appointment I had an appointment they didn't do the job then they just blew me off instead of sending somebody out to take care of it. I should never had to called back to ask them to come do the job that they had already charge me for if I had not paid them they would cut off my cable but they didn't do the job that they were supposed to do. They installed the cable last summer we're going into the following summer and they still have not fixed it. read more

This location is much better than the former Comcast location on Troy Hill Drive up the road. It is set up as a showroom, which I find actually odd. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be shown, as I thought people just came here to drop off equipment or upgrade their old boxes or whatever. There is a check in desk up front with a small pad where you can type your name into the service queue. A good system that needs better signage, and even if you know what you're doing it doesn't work half the time (I've been there twice) so you need to wait for the service desk attendant anyway. There are large couches, benches, and chairs to sit and wait for your turn, with a large screen usually showing Pixar movies at a disappointingly low volume in the back of the store. The technicians are very friendly and provide excellent service, inasmuch as they can given the nature of Comcast's equipment. Wi Fi is provided while you wait, but has such a terrible connection I quickly abandoned it- welcome to Xfinity. read more
