Hi them to mount a 75 inch TV in my basement. I opted for the service that included hiding the wires inside of the wall. You have the option to supply your own equipment or pay a little extra for them to bring their own. When I made my appointment, I was given a window of 9 AM until 1 PM. On the day of my appointment my technician call ahead of time and let me know that he would be there at 10 AM. This was towards the early end of the window and it was good that they gave me proper notification. My technician arrived slightly before 10. He was friendly and courteous. The installation did not take very long. It was very professional and cleaned up after herself. I would use their service again. read more

Beware. This company does not have the techs to provide the needed services. They will charge you for services not rendered and will charge for a cancellation fee even though they cannot provide the service on the date agreed upon. Scam company. Look for a reputable company which in this day and age is becoming almost impossible to find. These companies want your money but can't provide the service. BEWARE! read more

Hired them to switch TV mount from a static mount to full tilt , and to hide the wires in wall. They were able to book appointment within a couple days instead of the almost three weeks Best Buy Geek Squad offered. Price was only a couple dollars different so I chose the quicker company. BIG MISTAKE!!! They hung the TV several inches away from where it hung originally so that now it ridiculously overlaps a doorframe . The cable they threaded through wall is too short so the cable box is immovable; it has to sit in one place (ON FLOOR!!). Calked then same day and they apologized and scheduled me two more appointments to fix problems. Did not keep either appointment. Called three more times and listened to them promise to make things right and they finally offered to schedule another appointment but instead sent me an email saying they were "cancelling my order" because they cannot find a technician in my area. Although their technician did not complete the installation service for my Mac mini, I was charged in full for the complete service. Their quotation stated that I wouldn't be charged until the service as completed. After lots of back and forth with Hello Tech's customer service, they committed to sending the tech back to complete the service. When the Technician didn't return, I sent reminders to their Customer Service. Another Customer Service rep then reneged on the commitment to have the technician return to complete the service. their customer service is the worst! read more

Horrible experience. The guy didn't have a clue what he was doing. I thought he is a pro, handing TV mounts all day and know every single detail about it. But this guy said this is his part time job. He complained that my TV mount is "complicated". He made few unnecessary holes in my brick wall due to his poor measuring skills. He wanted to drill a screw directly into the brick wall (without an anchor) which should not be done. Instead of 4 holes, he only did 3 and said that the TV mount is OK with 3. Next day, one of the holes got loose and had to re-do it. read more

Two nights ago, Windows updated. When I logged on in the morning, I couldn't access my Chrome home screen (it was barely visible but all the way over to the left and I couldn't drag it). So I uninstalled Chrome and reinstalled it. Thought I got that working only to find out there was a shit ton of malware on the computer. I removed some but had one program I couldn't get rid of. So I did an online chat with Geekatoo. They processed a ticket for me and a few minutes later, they had someone take control of my computer remotely and they did a total wipe of the computer. Completely got rid of the malware and the computer is faster than ever. Moral of the story, if you are ever looking for cheap, excellent computer repair and support (and they do much more...audio/video set up, home theater set up, wifi, smartphones, tablets, printers and more), I would HIGHLY recommend Geekatoo! read more

HelloTech was great. The reservation process was easy and efficient. Mitch came on time and hooked up my modem, router, and Roku quickly and easily. He was very friendly and talked to me about the merits of Nest cameras vs Ring doorbells, which I was thinking of purchasing. The price was affordable and the set-up was perfect. HelloTech charged $99 for setting up the modem/router and $89 for the Roku. Will definitely use HelloTech again. read more

HelloTech is terrible -- don't waste money on them. I brought them in to fix an audio problem on my FireTV and somehow they managed to screw up the entire FireTV. It no longer works or responds to the remote. What's worse they said they'd send another Tech fo fix the problems they created yesterday. No tech showed up and I wasn't even contacted about the appt. Absolutely, the worst service that I paid for this year!!! We requested to have 2 tvs mounted, using our own mounts and have the wires completely concealed. The technician, "Jesues" showed up late and complained about not being told about having the wires concealed. He went on to say that he could not complete installation due to not having all of the proper equipment. He then went on the mount the tvs without attempting to open the up the drywall? He mentioned that he return the next day to complete the job. He gave a time range of 1-3 so I left work early to meet him because the tv was mounted in the wrong spot. Not only did he not show up but he did not call, text or communicate until very late the next evening. He never apologized at all and complained that he didn't show up because of the distance, lol. After calling customer service, we found out that he closed the work ticket as if the job was completed. Customer service said that the ticket would be escalated however we have not heard from manager yet!!! I could have mounted the tvs and left wires and debris everywhere by myself for free instead of paying close to $300. Complete and total @#$% show!!! Now, we have to find someone to fix and complete this job!!! I can't believe that Comcast referred this bootleg company to customers!!! Victor was excellent. Texted in morning asking about current equipment we had, including model numbers. Professional, knew what to do to fix the issue, and worked hard to resolve issues. Much more helpful than xfinity has ever been trying to resolve WiFi issues in house. A few hours later the WiFi bugged out and i texted him, he called right back, was willing to return by end of day, but we resolved over phone. I would use hello tech again. read more

What a nightmare this company is. I had a complex problem on a new computer, but any good geek should have been able to tell me why I could not do a complete factory refresh without the machine dying. Or, run software that had been running fine 24 hours before. The tech got on remotely, fiddled for 2 hours with virus and malware stuff, but in the end not only did the software not install that had previously worked, but the programs that did work were suddlenly not working. The tech Lloyd declared that it was an 'application software issue' beyond his scope and basically hung up. I tried to do a complete system re-install but it just died. That doesn't even require application software. When I asked for help with that, they basically declared that the 'techs had determined determined it's beyond their scope' and the tech Keisha just ghosted me. After, of course, upselling me to the $99 UNLIMITED SUPPORT plan. So, now I have a $99 support plan from a company that won't even try to address my problems, and a computer that's worse than when I started. Unbelievable. And, patently unfair. read more
