Disappointing and Unethical Pricing "This company is only…read moreafter money" all the real review have this in COMMON including me. I had a very disappointing experience with Wooten Appliance Repair. They gave me a clear estimate of before starting the job, which I agreed to. However, after the work was done, I was shocked to be charged double than the agreed upon original estimate. The technician offered no explanation and no reasoning. This is completely unprofessional and unethical. Pricing should be based on the job, not who I am or where I live. I went ahead and paid the full amount. I would not recommend Wooten to anyone looking for honest or transparent service. I feel taken advantage of, and will be warning others to stay away.

Fred, at Fix Appliance Baltimore County, is an honest, knowledgeable and kind specialist in…read moreappliance repair. I know nothing about refrigerators and felt vulnerable about trusting the opinion of someone I've never called before. Fred was professional, thorough and very well priced. He showed up exactly on time, knew my frig make and model ahead of time, had an arsenal of tools and wore foot booties, investigated the refrigerator thoroughly and gave me a diagnosis and a recommendation. He was at my house about 2 hours and he showed me what was happening with the frig and the problems that were occurring. My frig is 10 yrs old with a leak to a line and he told me I may want to consider a new frig rather than put money into an appliance with diminishing returns. I appreciated Fred's insight and he even gave me some things to consider when buying a new one. Fred knows what he's doing and he cares about the people he helps. I will definitely recommend him to others who want a dependable, honest, knowledgeable appliance specialist who will put the customer first. I recommend him highly. I also felt good about supporting a local business rather than calling a larger manufacturer's technician who has a loyalty to the company and charges significantly more for a diagnosis'.

Since I have received 2 visits from these people I am entitled to one review for each visit…read more , I am writing a second one. They left a message and I will call them back soon. Well, I was checking online what should include a comprehensive check up of a leak inside a refrigerator (since they charged $180.00 for a service call and over $400.00 to complete the work). This technician only check the air around the refrigerator door (put a door gadget in 15 minutes thinking that that was going to solve the problem, which it did not. He checked the panel inside the freezer which according to him was normal. He tightened some screws at the bottom of the refrigerator. See, he did not move the refrigerator to make tests in the back of the refrigerator. I am sure that there are a lot of cables and stuff in the back of the refrigerator but, no that was not done. Last time the technician told me to push the door of the refrigerator to make sure that it is sealed. I do not have to push anything: that should be resolved without me pushing anything unless the repair is mediocre. What type of repair is that that I have to push to make sure that is properly sealed everytime I open the refrigerator. Let me tell you something; this business should be investigated by a government agency, interviewing past customers specially the ones that have spilled their guts here in YELP. Unfortunately the US government allows these people to charge whatever they want to, The thing that does not have an excuse is taking money from people and been incompetent.
