I was here on Friday, Oct 24 to look into switching my phone service from one company to Verizon. Although Jay was very helpful, the system kept timing out so he had to input information several times. I had to go so I told him I would be back the next day but came Sunday instead. He was off but told me to see one of the managers who was already expecting me. However, he was in the back when I arrived & someone arrived. I understand he may have been busy taking care of another issue but he could communicate that with the other manager or let someone else assist me in getting the transfer paperwork going. I waited 10 min then I quietly departed. Worst place I've been for a phone. Lazy, lazy employees! I went in last week 11/30/25 to buy a new phone. The young lady was so disinterested that her coworker sitting next to her had to keep interjecting so I wouldn't leave. She acted like I was a major inconvenience as she was trying to watch the football game. I almost walked out, but was in desperate need of a new phone. After quite a long, wait, the young man next to her, walked in the back to bring me out a phone. She finally got up as he was getting ready to go in the back again to find me a screen protector. Then I came in 12/7/25 to turn my old phone in. Didn't think it could get any worse than last week boy was I wrong. Not only did the guy act like I was bothering his nap, he messed up my phone by pushing all sorts of buttons that I couldn't see, then had the gall to tell me he couldn't do anything I needed to call Apple. I tried to change TV coverage in the process the techn removed the Bo's and remote. I wasn't satisfied with the coverage and tried to restore my previous coverage- now have no TV reception. Asurion expert evidently was not aware of the issue. As a result I do. ot have any TV reception. read more

From February contact: - finally refunded the trade-in value they charged erroneously and gave the trade-in credit. -Discovery+ charges ceased, but no credit of $87 received yet for continued charges after cancellation. -Connected Car charges continue after cancellation. If I could give a rating of NEGATIVE 1000 for Verizon Wireless, I would. This is regarding moving my daughter's phone onto her own plan. I walked into a Verizon Wireless store in Hagerstown on 9/22/2025, and was told that I would need to make an appointment at a Store with my daughter present to move her off of my account onto her own-that this was the only way. I made an appointment for 9/24/2025 at the Columbia MD Verizon Wireless store for 4:00 pm. Upon arriving at the Columbia MD store, I was left waiting for 15 minutes after my 4:00 pm appointment for someone to even talk to me (I checked in at 3:45 pm that day). I was then told by the store manager that they could not assist with moving my daughter's line off my account onto her own. I cursed only ONCE, and was told by the manager that I was being 'abusive'. The manager threw a list of phone numbers at me, and was told I would have to call a number on the list, and could leave the store to do this. By that time, I had driven from the Martinsburg WV area to Columbia MD to meet my daughter (she lives in Baltimore) in the rain for an hour and a half and I was at the end of my tolerance for Verizon (didn't curse anymore-only said 'BS' ONCE initially). Since I had made my appointment two days in advance at this store, I was not about to leave without a resolution, so I was told we could call at the back of the store. I called, then put my daughter on the phone. The customer support person on the phone said she needed a CODE, and it was all I could do NOT to LOSE it in the store (I didn't). I marched over to the manager and told him this-he then proceeded to get me to open my app and was shown where I could have accomplished this from the beginning (and could have saved myself the trouble of making an appointment and driving all this way in the rain). The customer support person on the phone could tell I was upset, so she was able to get a verbal agreement (and text to my phone) to take care of the matter, and get the line transferred to my daughter. The Hagerstown MD store personnel SHOULD have been better educated on this matter and could have just saved me the trouble and stress by just showing me how to accomplish this through my Verizon app. The Columbia MD Manager was EXTREMELY rude and should have also just walked me through this process using the APP from the beginning instead of saying "Here are a list of numbers-call this ONE", and should have de-escalated this immediately just by being more understanding and walking me and my daughter through the process. read more

As the only actual Verizon store (not authorized retailer) I thought it was the best option to go back here when replacing my wife's failing 3 year old iPhone. The staff was pleasant and friendly, and that gets them back up to two stars. Why I won't be back: There is zero gain from going into the stores instead of buying online and just picking up there. In fact, it costs money to do so. Verizon offered $20 activation online, but $40 in person. The sales guy had me use my phone to purchase it online to save the $20, but the app failed and he had no way to pass that savings on to me. Instead, we wasted a bunch of time, of course after a sort of never-ending upsell on external batteries, apple-watch, over-priced glass protection (seriously $40 for 3 that sell for $15 on amazon). Cases were in short supply, so those were going to be delivered anyway. To top that all off - at the end of the transaction I was handed the phone and bag on the way out with no offer to even start the set up, and very vague (and wrong) instructions on how to activate the phone. Google + about 2 hours and I had it up and running. As I opened the case, I realized that I might have been SOL if anything was wrong with the phone. So final verdict: all new phones I pick up will be online. read more

I'm getting to the end of my rope with T-Mobile and thinking that it might be time for a switch. There have been a number of places where I've traveled that they have no footprint, and so they have you roam to AT&T or another carrier. This is great if you need only voice. But for data, you're capped at 50 MB for the month. Yes. Fifty megabytes. Anchorage AK, Charleston WV, Wibaux MT, etc. It sucked. So I stepped into this Verizon store to see what they have on offer and whether or not I could keep my phone. As it turns out, my phone is locked to T-Mobile and not compatible with the Verizon network. They were helpful, if a little long to work out the details. I had to just about sign up for an account including handing over my address, identification, social security number and such. To find out that my phone won't work. So I'll just continue the process online and determine if Verizon is the choice for me. read more

within one minute of coming into this store I witnessed a woman telling one of the sales associates how rude she was and how poor the customer service is. I thought to myself that she must be Karen. By the time I left this store, I understood where this woman was coming from. I sat down for 5 minutes waiting to be checked in. When it was clear that no one was coming to assist me I went and stood in front of three employees who where talking about how horrible the "Karen" was while completely ignoring me. Terrible customer service, both Destiny and the female store manager lied, said different things! The first phone purchased did not work, was exchanged for a more expensive I phone within 24 hours. And yet, charged a restocking fee. A refund was promised, for this exchange, but it has been 6 weeks, no refund. We were told could change our mind without any financial penalty, at any time, another lie. Verizon says refund should have been processed the same day as a credit. In addition, 60 dollar plus restocking fee is unfair and unreasonable. We will never go back to this location, my phone is paid off, this purchase was for another family member, a senior. I am planning to cancel my Verizon account, move to another carrier, make a formal complaint to Verizon corporate and Better Business Bureau. We were charged twice! It should have been a simple exchange. But the charges went through naturally. We did not receive a proper receipt after this took place. Questioned what was happening and got double talk. Asked for a credit on our Verizon bill. Had to make 3 phone calls to Verizon to get any help. This is unreasonable, hoping to get a refund for the first phone and accessories soon. Again, pretty disappointed with my experience in a retail store. In Columbia, I just need a charger, I recently learned that my phone only works with a VZW charger or HTC. I walked it, not one person assisted me. There was no greeting, none available to sign me in, ask a question or anything. The Verizon rep said that I was getting a "package" (accessories plus a new phone) for $275. No other price was ever quoted to me. When I get home, it turns out that the phone itself costs another $700!!! I tried to return the accessories (which I never would have purchased) within 30 days, since the rep told me I could return the phone for any reason within that time frame. When I tried to return them, I was told that actually, returns have tube made within 14 days, and that there was nothing they can do. The manager didn't even bother to come out and talk to me. this store used to be wonderful and now CustomerService has just gone to pot. It's 1130 they only had one service person until 11 then he came out, turned around and went back in the back for another 10 minutes while six of us stood out there waiting for Service, he's not listening to Customers. I don't wanna go to the other service person because that person messed my phone up so now after waiting for an hour now. I'm having to drive to get another corporate store to get the issues fixed but Verizon wants to charge everyone a bunch of money for crappy service or text or customer service people who don't know what they're doing. Great experience. Purchased a new phone and needed help doing the phone hand-me-down of my previous phone. Made an appointment, arrived on time, and was greeted when I entered the store. All the associates were with other customers, so I had to wait about 10 minutes...not a problem. Kharri helped me get the new phone up and running, took care of an account issue, and helped move all the apps and data to the new phone. Also took care of setting things up so my old phone could be moved to the other number when I send it to my mom. read more

This Verizon store in Snowden square is sort of hidden behind a red lobster and insight of a hobby lobby. That being said it's less crowded than other stores and they recently remodeled to make everything More organized with sit down tables like apple stores. The people here are always very helpful with simple questions because we've been Verizon customers for years. Verizon is more expensive but if National Coverage and service is important I've chosen them over less expensive providers. They do have to follow Verizon contract plans because this is an official store. I've never had an issue with Verizon wireless billing. They simplified the paper bills and have a wireless app that can answer most questions. But it's the people that make a store and the ones I have run into you are always very friendly and helpful. read more

I was severely disappointed in the customer service I received at this location. I previously worked for Verizon Wireless so I am versed with the correct terms and steps to take in regards to my cell phone service. I believe the gentleman helping us was Ona. When my boyfriend and I explained we would be placing our two existing lines on one account, we were told that we need to call customer service to have my boyfriend's number released to him since Ona said his father was the primary account holder. Then, he left to stand at the counter and talk with another employee. My boyfriend was listed as an account admin which we checked before we went to the store. My boyfriend called his father to tell him to put in the request. Ona did not offer to wait with us while we called or call customer service from a store phone. As we already knew, the call center customer service representative let my boyfriend's father know that 1) he was capable of doing this himself since he is an admin 2) the store location could have completed the same request. While we were assuming liability for the number over the phone, Ona came back over to us to ask, "Are you guys doing it?" Then, he walked back over to the counter to talk to another employee. Once we transfered the phone number over, I was so let down by the experience that we went to the Catonsville location to have everything completed. Creating our new account with our new phones went flawlessly at this other store, and the friendly nature and efficiency of this new representative went above my expectations. read more

I did not buy my Motorola Droid from this location in August but I wish I had. I stopped in because my texting app was driving me crazy. I was closer to this location so we stopped in. I am glad I did. The store is huge and is amazing. You are greeted by someone immediately. Apparently it is her job to open the door and greet you. They ask for your name and cell phone, She punches it into a computer and your name appears on a screen on the wall. You know exactly who is in front of you and how long your wait will be. At this time there was only one person in front of me. I shopped around and about five minutes later someone was calling my name. Nice system! Not just yelling " Who's next?" or writing your name on a piece of paper. I explained the problem to the associate and he immediately knew what was wrong. The old "glitch" in the app. answer and I would be notified when it was updated. But he temporarily fixed it for me so that it worked. I just can't use the part where it anticipates your word. Hate that part anyway. Feels like someone is listening in on my conversation. He also told me about some apps I would like. He installed Tracker for me so when I walk I know how far I go, etc. I downloaded Fruit Ninja for the grandkids so I don't have to hear the crazy birds for a while. He simply asked me what I was interested in and offered many other apps I might like. Great service. Very courteous. Did not make me feel stupid for asking questions. ( Why do Smart Phones make you feel so inadequate sometimes?) The store offers classes for anyone who wants to know more about their phone. The area to shop is quite large and the staff available is numerous. This definitely is the place I will go when I need anything wireless from Verizon. Yes, it's always a complicated adventure when trying to change something on your plan, but tonight Oye made it such a pleasant experience! My husband and I went to get off our parents' plans and get our own. Oye made sure we knew what steps we had to take before he could set us up, and he periodically checked on us throughout the process. They told us we would have a wait when we arrived. It seemed pretty busy for a Thursday night, but we were still seen within the 10 minute window we were given. Oye was our sales associate and he was so great! He was honest about the products we wanted and was able to answer all our questions. I was really impressed. All of the employees seemed to be in good spirits and were enjoying their work even though it was late Thursday night. I will definitely be going here again for all cell needs! This place sucks. Every time I come here it feels like I just stepped into the auto finance dept of a car dealership. They are beyond slow & the folks working here are ignorant of Verizon services. I came in a week ago to get a new case. I was coaxed, yes coaxed into getting one of their "free" tablets & an iPad. I was told with the activation of those devices I would receive an additional 4GB of data on my plan. A few days later I began to receive messages about using all of my data for the month. I called Verizon from my cell phone only to be told that the additional data was for the activation of a phone only. The devices use the data on my phone line. I can't return the iPad because I took back the one I had originally bought my son as a Christmas present and Verizon was offering a better deal. I am here now to return the Verizon tablet and was told it would take 25minutes. WTH? To make a return??? I'm not buying a phone. I'm returning this gawd awful tablet. This is one of those reviews where if I could give 0 stars I would. My parents and I have been coming to this Verizon store for years, and it used to be the best location around. We went in today to upgrade two phones and purchase an iPad. We walked in and weren't greeted by anyone as they were too busy hitting a golf ball behind the desk. Our salesman was very polite and informative during the process, and was very helpful, however the issue started when we were getting ready to make the transactions. A female employee (Julie was her name) dressed as though she had just woke up and came to work walked up as we were speaking with our salesman and inturuped us to have a conversation not work related at all. My mother, who is a retired police officer, make a comment that it was rude of her to inturupt and the female employee replied with a forced appology and walked away. We asked to speak with the manager who came over and apologized and tried to make amends. My sister went and sat down while we continued to finish the transaction only for Julie to walk over and antagonize her by saying "Hi, why are you so angry?" Which did not fare well with my sister. My sister did call her out on it which led to a very unprofessional response from Julie who started yelling to get out of the store, followed by the management coming over and threatening to "mark our account" if we didn't leave. They refused to give us their names. We called customer support regarding this issue but honestly I had to write a review to warn people of the level of unprofessionalism that is currently managing this store. Well since we did that they removed us from the unlimited service. Now they are making us pay per gigabit. So its just a way to make more make more money. Thats what its all about this day. Came in to return a Bluetooth headset. Store was empty but I still waited 25+ mins as I personally witnessed a manager help 2 people that came in after me. When I questioned her, I was told that she was unavailable to handle a return as she had to remain on the floor "in case I'm needed for something important, sweetheart". I am 35 years old, why is she calling me sweetheart?? Another 10 minutes go by before she decides to help me. After waiting nearly 40 minutes, I'm told that they don't have $160 to give me a cash refund. AWESOME. Did I mention that when I asked about why a retail store didn't have $160 in cash she responded, "typically people in this area pay for things with a credit card, no offense." No offense? Offense taken! Anyhow, now I have to go back to work after wasting an hour only to come back later in the day when they have more cash. read more

If it weren't for an occasional helpful rep, I would give Verizon no stars. Their service has been horrible. First, the installation took forever (6 weeks). Secondly, my husband died and no one could get the account transferred from his name to mine despite calls to customer service and visits to a Verizon store. Thirdly, they keep getting the details of my plan messed up. I changed to unlimited data service weeks ago, and today I got a text message that I was nearly over my data allotment and should consider unlimited data. It makes me crazy. Don't bother writing to their communication center because you will never hear anything back in response to your complaint feedback. Also prices change with no forewarning, esp when they can't seem to get your street address right! read more

Two stars because sales person Alex saved the day. All I wanted was a new phone charger cord. I expected to just walk in... pick it off the shelf...pay...leave...right? Nooooo...you have to give your cell phone number and wait! The friendly greeter was not so friendly! ...I know she made a face behind my back because I saw Alex make an okay motion with his mouth...neither one wanted me to see. But at least Alex was not a programmed computer chip (like the dumb girl greeter) and thought outside of the box ..because he immediately jumped in to get my cord. I can see... I would still be waiting otherwise! So now I left with a bad attitude because of that greeter. (I was in a good mood before stopping here). In fact I am struggling with 2 stars... Should be one star. Extension cords should be available for purchase...not in a back room. After reading my own review I am even more annoyed now. I just know I will never return to this verizon store. Please know you need an appointment even if something is wrong with your iPhone. My iPhone was having issues so I went to this store. They asked me what needed and took my number and told me to wait in my car. I got a text to come In about 15-20 min later and was then told that I needed an appt to get a new phone. I asked why they had me wait (I told the woman checking in what my issue was) and was told he had no answers. Duden even try to get any. He said if I knew what I wanted right away he could help me but it wasn't willing to discuss any of the new phone features with me. Only one person seemed to be waiting after me and there were 3 salespeople in there. He said borderline rude things to me like "you haven't even looked at the features of the phones?" I thought it was his job to explain them (yes I had looked and had questions). Won't be going back.
