The worst customer service. If you are able to connect with a real person, you have to go through so many steps and then hope for the best. I have been having trouble with them for almost a week now. I just moved and a technician came over to hookup two cable boxes . One worked one didn't. I had to go back to the Xfinity store to get a wireless box when I got home I could hook it up. I called and someone is coming tomorrow morning to install it, but with that comes a 100.00 charge. I screamed at the person on the phone that it was my fault that the technician has trouble. My experience as a new customer has been horrible , can't get to talk to anyone, and the online chat was useless. First person asked me to give her 2-3 minutes to review my file, 48 minutes later I was still holding , when I wrote and asked if she was still with me, I got no answer. This company should be embarrassed. Their tactic of customer service reviews happen after each conversation you have with whoever answers the phone that day. They are so nice on the phone and tell you how it's all set up and you're good to go, so of course you give them a 5. Then, you find out the next day that actually none of that was true. They constantly have issues with their service, their customer service is awful, their plans seem cheaper but are priced double for the speeds they offer. They're also very petty. Ever since I contacted them to see if they have a cheaper plan and they said the 59.99 is the cheapest plan, I stated I would shop around and they disconnected with me then now about 2-5 minutes I have outages during work hours. Look elsewhere because you're guaranteed better prices and customer service with another provider. Their mobile service is also terrible, I spent two weeks troubleshooting with them and they never fixed my service and charged me the whole time. I moved to a non xfinity area and I was told if I wanted to keep my mobile service I would have to pay a additional $50 a month. I decided to cancel my service and transfer my phone to the new cable provider. I was told after I paid off the remaining balance of my device (which I was told at sign up was free) they would unlock it after 24 hours. So I call back after not receiving the unlock code in that 24 hrs. I was told to wait another 24 to 48 hours this went on for the next 5 days when I finally said forget it and changed my phone and phone number. Xfinity doesn't offer annual contracts, so they can increase your bill every 3 months. It's not to your benefit to not have a price/contract locked in place. They'll start you at $50 a month for internet and TV, then a year later, you're paying $175 a month. I was under a "promotion" which is their term for a fair price for internet/cable, and they increased the price per month by $20 during the Covid-19 pandemic. They said there is nothing that they could do during the pandemic to keep my price the same as it was during the previous "promotion". I was hoping the company would work with me considering my income has been cut by about 50% during the pandemic. I was asking if they could keep my rate the same as it was before under the "promotion". They said no that the best they could do is the $20 premium each month. I've never seen a company care less about their existing customers. I've never been late or missed a payment on my account. It's a shame they can't work with their customers even during a global pandemic. I currently live in a apartment complex which has at this time only Xfinity as a cable provider, I recently found out that my Neighbor has the same cable package as I do the $149. A month but also has 2 boxes I have only 1 and I'm paying $184. Per month, I called and they stated that his cable package was a promotional that's why he pays less and I need to call back frequently to see if or what promotional packages are available at that time, then today I had 1 channel that was included removed and was told after calling I had to get a sports package to receive that channel. To make a long story shot I'm paying $205. A month for what other people are paying $149. And being told there's nothing that can be done. When you cancel your account after your contact is up, they will continue to bill you and withdraw from your account. DO NOT return your equipment in person at a physical location because they will say it was never returned and bill you $120. Xfinity has the worst upload speeds I've ever seen in an internet provider. I currently have gig speed with AT&T and have 1000Mbps upload speeds and Xfinity offers a maximum of 35 Mbps. To put the cherry on top, it's an additional $30 a month for unlimited data if you don't use their modem. It's completely free for AT&T. I have been a Comcast customer for over 16 years so it was only right to get their mobile phone service. Big mistake. Customer service is of no help and there was a promotion going on in October with $300 off for the iPhone 13, they did not have the pro max in stock so I spoke to customer service and the person assured me that the promotion would be available when the pro max hit the xfinity stores. I called today to see if the stores had received the phone and the woman I spoke to told me that two stores would definitely have them and I drove to the store and neither had them in stock. I could not change the channel on our 2d TV. I spent over an hour with an advisor on chat, who finally suggested I get a new remote. So I drive to an office (that turned out to NOT be the closest office) to get a new remote. Overworked guy at the office asks, "Did you bring the old remote?" "No". "I can't give you a new remote unless you bring in the old one." "The person on chat didn't tell me to bring the old remote." The next day, I fiddle around with all the cables and cords and follow the instructions on the SCREEN (not from the chat guru) to enter the numbers, and the remote WORKS!!! Because the the twit on chat the previous day didn't give me the proper instructions. If I had any other cable option (I am in a condo) I would switch to another provider. No such luck. I had an appointment on 6/24/24 and no one showed up. When I called they gave me 2 different excuses. I finally got them to reschedule to the next day 10-12. At 11:30 I got a call that they would be late arriving and would be there between 12:30 and 12:45 again no one showed up. I had to leave due to a work appointment and left a note telling them it was an outside issue and to please repair it and leave me a note so I know they came. I called after my appointment and was told the technician repaired the outside issue and left a note. This was not true . When I arrived back to the house there was no note and I still had no service. Again I called and was told my issue would be expedited and I would receive a call at 7:30 the next day with an early morning service call. The phone call never came and when I called I was told my appointment wasn't until 4 days later. This is a vacation rental and I have people arriving that I will loose income due to no service. Run. Customer service is terrible. There was a scheduled outage in my area but my service was never restored. They forced me to schedule a tech visit. The tech couldnt fix it. A second tech came out twice to fix the problem. They CHARGED ME for the tech. My service was out 4 days and they CHARGED ME for those days and refused to honor outage credits. My family missed remote work and online class and caused a ripple in the bill. Therefore, I made a payment arrangement. This was also not honored. They disconnected my service every day for 7 days causing more strife of missing work, class and using mobile hotspots (at an additional charge). When you do get a human being on their 1-800 "support" number, you quickly learn more about the Philippines than you do about the issue you called in for. If you don't get the joke, call in and come back to let me know what the weather is like in Manila. 3. If you do get to speak to someone who is state-side, and is doing more than just reading off a Comcast generic script ("Unfortunately, we cannot assist you with that matter"), you will see that Comcast clearly sought the least employable human beings in the country. These folks believe the concept of customer service to mean that they take more than 5 minutes to deal with your issue, because their coffee break is waiting for them. And don't worry - your problem will not be solved. Even when they promise to resolve something, they won't. You'll have to call back. 4. Often, they will advise that you go into one of their inconveniently located Comcast service centers to resolve your issue. In a day and age in which we can land objects on Mars, why the fuck do I need to physically visit a repair shop when the issue is clearly in the Comcast computer system? And again, when you arrive, you will be treated like a maggot and leave 30 minutes later with your problem completely intact.
