Great spot to settle in for a few hours of your afternoon. Music is on point, nitro cold brew is strong and right in the heart of downtown. I'll be back whenever I'm in town. read more

Wyatt's is always my go to coffee spot in Gainesville. This is a place of quality and care. It is the perfect place for me to get some studying done. And it's a great spot to meet with friends. Whether it will be a seasonal drink such as the rose cardamom latte, a honey cold brew on tap, kombucha on tap, or iced tea I have never been disappointed. There are options for everyone! I always appreciate the staff and how kind they are. I am always greeted with a friendly smile. They take the time to be present with you, and help with any of your questions. The owner/manager is extremely kind as well, it is obvious that your staff reflects your professionalism. It speaks volumes on how well the staff is taken care of and being treated. Thank you Wyatt's! read more

What a wonderful little nook of a coffee shop! If you're in need of a hot cuppa joe, parallel park that car and saunter on in. Wyatt's Coffee will fill your caffeine-o-meter with whimsical gusto! Always a fan of the hot bean water myself, I finally had the chance to make it here a few days ago... then I came back, and did so once more! Three days in a row I enjoyed the splendidly prepared coffee by the great folks at Wyatt's. For my first encounter, I decided to go all in- I ordered myself a Wyatt. Now, this mad lad of a beverage has cinnamon, it has bourbon, it's delicious and I heartily recommend a taste. Whatever you order though, you will undoubtedly walk away a happier human being! Latte, cappuccino, black coffee; all is delicious and I plan to sample everything. Enjoy, and be sure to tip those brilliant baristas! read more

I had a chance to stop in while visiting the courthouse and had the most delicious cortado I've had in a long time. The house blend was chocolate and warm and everything that good espresso should be. Overall the drink was a pleasure to drink and while walking around made a great companion. The person who took my order was sweet and smiling and helped me figure out what I would like be The person who made my coffee was also sunshine incarnate. It made the experience so much better. read more

Great spot right in the heart of downtown! I loved the seasonal cappucino I got here--very flavorful spiced orange and the espresso was on point. I also got the drip here and it was decent. They brewed a fresh pot for us and served it up in huge diner mugs which was very nice. We sat down for about an hour and were able to chill very easily as the small shop had ample seating for our three-person group. This would be a place I'd come on my own to camp out with some coffee and a good book. The atmosphere is very chilled out and modern, and the place is very clean. The staff was suuuuper friendly as well; they make you feel like you're being taken care of, not just served. I'll be back here whenever I get to stop in Gville, no doubt about it! read more

Excellent nitro brew! Stopped by today to kill some time before lunch. My last time in Gainesville was 4 years ago so this new addition was a pleasant surprise. Super cute shop with lots of drink Options. read more

Very considerate and friendly staff with a great ambiance! Best coffee shop in Gainesville in my opinion. Barista recommended a honey vanilla matcha latte to me and it is my new go-to! Highly recommend read more

Best coffee in Gainesville for sure. They roast their own beans and have a rotating sweet and savory food items. Love the look and feel inside and the staff I have interacted with have always been friendly and helpful. If you have yet to visit this pot make sure to add it to your list of top spots. Quality beans and for a cold brew fan like me I have the option of both nitro and regular cold brew on their single origin beans. Since finding this place I always make sure to stop in when driving through Gainesville. read more

I have been to Wyatt's a few times. I have always enjoyed the staff and the owner is typically there and he is great. I love the Japanese Nitro Cold Brew with Vanilla Flavoring and Cream. They have a great location downtown, parking is sometimes an issue but it's worth it. If you haven't stopped in, do yourself a favor and do so. read more

This place was really cool! I love the feel of the space, it is minimalist, industrial and little bit boho. They have cleek designs that are clean and modest, with little bits of plants peeking out. The service I recieved was wonderful, the girl at the counter wsa extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They have quite a variety of coffee blends - it is a great place for people who like to try different things! I really loved the nitro blend that they carry, it was robust and had great flavor! They also carry Baker Baker products which are delicious! The space is a little small, but they are located within an indoor plaza and there is ample seating just outside. They have WIFI and it carries into the plaza. I will defintely be adding this to my weekly study spot rotation! read more

So cute in here... coffee is super overpriced and not very good. Been twice, both time was disappointed. Good place to study or do work. Baristas are cool and kind. read more

Several things going for this new coffee shop--great location near campus, beautiful albeit small interior, obvious quality and care in their products--but also several things working against it. For one, the shop is so small it basically is a coffee-to-go shop, not a place to easily sit and study although the building has an open atrium adjoining Wyatt's where you could in theory sit, though it tends to be a bit loud. Also, while coffee is the main event, they also have an emphasis on fine chocolate bars which is nice but the prices, even for outstanding chocolate, seem high for our market--not many students will wander in for coffee and buy a chocolate bar of virgin chocolate with nibs, Bourbon, and maple or whatever esoteric flavors for $9.90. Then there is their tea selection: they can make hot teas, but I'm unsure if they can make ice tea--I guess they can, but it seems having some ice tea made up and ready to go would not be expensive for them and probably pay off easily in sales. If they do this, it's not listed on their menu. All in all, Wyatt's is fine, and I'm glad there is something other than Starbucks this close to campus but they may find it a hard market given their lack of sit-down space and steep prices on some things like the chocolate. Years ago, circa 2009, there was a small (but larger than Wyatt's by far) coffeeshop run by Opus over in the plaza where Sushi Chao is and it didn't last long. It's really hard to compete with two Starbucks right inside the UF libraries plus the one over at Reitz. And at least the Opus shop had a comfy coach and people could hang out. read more

Wyatt's Coffee - Interior view of the coffeehouse. - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Gainesville, Florida

When I moved to Gainesville, I never thought I would find my favorite coffeeshop here. The first time I visited Wyatt's, I stopped by on a whim after seeing a show at the Hippodrome nearby. The iced honey latte blew me away! It was just so perfectly balanced with the sweetness of the honey and milk, and the richness of the coffee. Since then I've been back many times. It's my favorite place to study in Gainesville. The space is filled with natural light, bright woods, and periwinkle blue tones making it an extremely serene and relaxing place to get work done. Seating is usually scarce, and outlets are a hot commodity. But I'm always usually able to find a cozy table to get some work done. The staff is always super friendly and it seems they really care about making great coffee. I love their punch card system and their name of the day chalkboard. Honey lattes are still usually my go-to, but I've had the pleasure of having their other espresso drinks and teas which are all fabulous as well. I'm interested in trying out some of their specialty drinks--the turmeric latte looks delicious! I think my only criticism of this place would be that it is a little pricey, but the quality makes up for the price. It's only marginally more expensive than Starbucks and much better. Thanks Wyatt's for making some of the best coffee I've had! read more

Great coffee in a great location in Downtown Gainesville! Their version of pumpkin spice was really tasty without being overly sweet. Service was fast and friendly and you can also order online. read more

I love discovering new coffee shops and this is one I know I'll keep returning to when I come to the area for work. I loved the atmosphere. It was interesting and the perfect place to study/work. I got a single origin cold brew which was really great. I stayed a while to work, there was free WiFi, and got lots done. The lady asked if I wanted a punch card but I said no bc I'm only in town about once a month and didn't think I would come back to this place often, but I think I'll have to stop each times! I'll need one of those cards! I can't wait to come back! read more

Brief stop in Gainsville resulted in visiting Wyatt's! The Coffee Mayday Affogato made vanilla ice Cream with espresso was spot on. Venti Vanilla Latte was definitely driven by the great coffee. There are great pastries available. The Guava Croissant was to die for. Loved the cool ambiance vibe . Obvi that Wyatt's was loaded with students on laptops. Loved the social environment! I'll have to remember this caffeine pit stop! read more

This is an impressive coffee shop with a great back story. It's clean and inviting; it's a space you want to be in. They have excellent seating options. Went to Wyatt's for the first time the other night. I got their cold brew with almond milk and it was pretty good! I'm not a huge coffee drinker and can't really tell the difference but this iced coffee was very refreshing. Their space is smaller and all the tables were filled with people studying or hanging out. This would be the ideal place to hang out with friends studying or catching up. Their a little bit on the pricey side but most of their ingredients are local or brewed with a special technique. read more

Honestly, I wish I lived in Gainesville because Wyatt's is a GREAT coffee shop and I wish I could stop here everyday on my way to work. I think it might be my most favorite coffee shop ever! The coffee is AMAZING and reasonably priced. I had bookmarked a few coffee spots in Gainesville but kept coming back to Wyatt's because the coffee was so great. Their pastries are also phenomenal - I tried the cream cheese croissant (omg....so divine) and the blueberry turnover. The space is bright with lots of seating options, though finding a spot at times can be tough. Baristas were also super friendly. Overall, an excellent coffee shop to relax or get work done. I'll miss you, Wyatt's! read more

I looked forward to the second opening of Wyatts in Gainesville for a while. I kept going downtown in hopes that the second location would be open soon. And I must say, I was not disappointed. Beyond the fact this place reminds me of a hipster place that gentrified an entire city, Wyatts is a good study location that serves a large variety if drinks (I love that they have yerba mate). The tables are put in a vertical way so that they can fit more guests but because of that, it feels far more crowded. I dread getting up and bumping into 10 people before I get to the bathroom. There is absolutely no way to get an open seat at the tables if you get there later than 11am. Coffee is good. Muffins are great. Especially, the pistachio and blue berry muffins. read more

Definitely great coffee, I was surprised they had several local coffee roast available. Their syrups are all made in house. Multiple milk options for non dairy people. Their Rose syrup was fantastic mix of earthy and sweet. read more

Wyatt's Coffee offers a cozy, pleasant environment in Gainesville's lovely downtown area. I got their Cappuccino, and my friend got their Cortado. Both were delicious with great presentation. The staff there are very friendly and helpful with any questions you have about their menu. The free WiFi and relaxing music also created a chill study environment. The only downside was the small, slightly crammed space making it difficult to really spread out if you're trying to study. The prices are really reasonable for the quality of coffee as well as the ambience offered. Would recommend :) read more

Great coffee! Clean and modern feel. Staff was friendly. Only downside was limited parking nearby and if street parking is available it's limited to 2 hours (I know they have zero control over parking). Highly recommend and I can't wait to go back! read more

Had no clue what to order and the barista was open to my request of two coffees, something "a little sweet," one iced and one hot. They had their own cold brew available for purchase and a cozy sitting nook which would be perfect for studying or reading a good book. Awesome find in the middle of the city! Go gators! read more

Coffee is very good but service mediocre. The shop was not busy. We ordered a croissant and asked for it to be sliced to share. The barista asked if she could put it on a bag as they didn't have clean plates. I asked if she could wash a plate rather than toss more paper in the garbage. She did but should not have needed prompting. Croissant was from Upper Crust and excellent. read more

Nice staff, horrible coffee. I had the drip. Coffee was almost sour. Not sure how else to describe it. Had two sips and tossed it. Maybe their specialty drinks are better, so give it a try if you like those. I would not recommend them for a regular cup of coffee though. read more

Wyatt's has some really great quality coffee and tea drinks. They seem to truly love the craft. Their specials are always very creative & tasty. Great places to study and just chill for a bit. Baristas are friendly and the espresso is definitely good. I especially love their pastries. My favorite coffee place ever. I go here every time I'm in gville. I love everything about it and it has the best coffee ever.

I really enjoyed Wyatt's Coffee. The team members are really friendly and cool. I tried honey in my cold brew which was really good!

Early Saturday morning, we hit Wayatt's for caffeine fuel before we looked for apartments in Gainesville. We had a variety of cold and hot (espresso) coffees. They even made a cortadito--Cuban style for my daughter. We will continue to go to Wyatts now that we have moved here. read more

Pricey, but a lovely place and a delicious drink. Know that drinks start at $6.00 for a small. That said the Mexican mocha I had was delicious. I definitely agree with other reviewers about the quality of the coffee and the price. The baristas know what they're doing and $2.50 for a good cappuccino? Seems like a steal to me! I've found the service a bit maddening though, which is why it's only a three star review. I really like getting my coffee in ceramic cups if I'm staying to work and most coffee shops I've been to will do just that if you ask or tell them it's for here... not Wyatt's. It doesn't seem to matter if I spell it out, I get my coffee in a to go cup. The staff is nice-ish but seem a bit condescending. I haven't given up yet, and will update my review if I figure out what the magic words are since the coffee itself is quite delicious (their pastries, however, are atrocious, though I say this as someone who bakes for a living and is very particular). I would say the other downside is the size, it can be tricky to get a table if you want to work, but that's fairly standard with small cafes. I have found the vibe a bit arrogant-preppy, now if only Cym's ramshackle interior and cheery staff and Wyatt's superior coffee could spawn a lovechild, I'd be quite content. Oh, and better pastries... Though I guess as a silver lining, at least I'm not tempted to buy them! read more
