It was my first time visiting Patticakes and I love the atmosphere when I walked in. I got a fall special which was the marshmallow meadow and I didn't realize it was matcha since I clearly didn't read the ingredients right. I don't really drink matcha but this one hit right and it tasted delicious. Overall loved the experience and will have to return! read more

I went to patty cakes for a church function. Was obviously busy due to the event, but the staff diligently took care of each and every one of us. The ice coffee I had was amazing. I forgot to take a picture of it but we will definitely be going back. To try some of their desserts and coffee, they also have ice cream and shakes. This is a little hidden gem in tioga. Very roomy and well laid out cables and plenty of chairs for folks to sit on . I'm not sure if they usually have their own music play in the background. There were so many people talking, fellowshing there might have been some music playing, but don't recall. Definitely worth a visit. read more

While waiting to be picked up after my dentist appointment I stopped in to this adorable coffee shop. I love the atmosphere and how relaxing it is to get a nice coffee. The baristas were very friendly and made my coffee very quickly. I chose from the holiday flavors and ordered gingerbread with oatmilk. The coffee tasted good. But I felt like it didn't even taste like gingerbread. And what I was very surprised at is the prices. I ordered a small and the whole coffee was Almost $8. I could have gotten something with the Same quality at another coffee shop for only $5. And maybe i would feel like it would be more worth it if it tasted more like gingerbread. I am going to try another coffee next time and see if I can find something a little bit more affordable for a working student. This place has great potential to be awesome. read more

I don't think the prices are crazy given the area, but nothing really stands out as cannot miss or amazing. The Cafe con Leches are good, berry smoothie wasn't my favorite, and the Turkey Panini was a waste/could easily be made at home. Also, got a blueberry seasonal drink in the past which was fine and had the distinct blueberry flavor as advertised. I think the staff, atmosphere, and location are what truly make people repeat customers. Lots of customers and the staff know each other and talk on a first-name basis. It's interesting to see a familial vibe in today's disconnected world. Looking forward to trying the sweet treats and other drinks. Solid place to relax or beat the summer heat! read more

Patticakes in Tioga is my favorite place for coffee in Gainesville! My go to is always a cafe con leche but recently tried their vanilla iced matcha lattes and chai vanilla lattes and wow soooo delicious and filled to the brim with flavor. They have seasonal cupcake flavors. The icing is a little dense for me but a try for the sweet tooth's! It's a wonderful spot to study, have a date, relax and sometimes even dog watch. The staff works quickly to make sure your order comes out on time and work with you if something is wrong with it. Would always come back here in a heartbeat! I can't believe it took me this long to review this place. It's hands down my favorite Gainesville coffee. I frequent them most because their cafe con Leche and Cortadito just keep me coming back. I haven't had any one that matches them. The crew is usually some young college folks but they will recognize me and keep it lively which is appreciated. The ambiance is cute and cozy it can get busy here though which can make it tough if you're doing work, but that's because everyone loves their coffee! read more

Another great addition to the Tioga Town Center. This is the second Patticakes location. It has lots of study space and the establishment is extremely clean. Expect the same level of kind and helpful workers. There is outdoor and indoor seating, and while masks are required, the employees wear masks and it's pretty easy to social distance because of space. The coffee is hot and delicious and tis the season for pumpkin, so of course I had to try the pumpkin spice coffee. The pumpkin spice syrup is pretty overpowering so if you don't like pumpkin, it might not be for you, but I loved it! I also enjoyed the pumpkin buckwheat muffin (I know, I know, a lot of pumpkin but hey, I love it). It was moist and delicious. This is the cutest coffee shop that my friend introduced me to! I was surprised that we could actually find seats here to study, compared to other cafes in Gainesville. The ambience is perfect for a grind session, and the coffee was well made. I ordered a iced vanilla latte with oat milk, and it was made with the perfect sweetness and flavor. There were also unique options such as an iced chai on the menu, along with smoothies and matcha. I would definitely recommend coming here for a drink or a study date! read more

I don't know what's going on with this place. They definitely aren't hurting with long lines and decent orders. Staff is just unfriendly and should you need anything, just don't bother asking. Example today. No hello. No greeting of any kind. Ordered ice cream for a child and was provided one napkin. Asked for another (politely) and was told no. Anyway. What was once a friendly staff had been replaced by a crew that makes Starbucks staff look like the friendliest team in the world. read more

What a gem of a place. I came in with my man and his parents after taking a day trip out to the surrounding areas. Rach was an absolute pleasure and helped us which was no mean feat when you have an elderly dementia patient determined to order hot chocolate for everyone, even though nobody wants it and there was simply no explaining. :P We ordered iced tea, latte, Americano and one hot chocolate because we weren't going to get out with at least one! We also ordered a vanilla cupcake and a nutella ganache. Everything was tasty and the cupcakes were moist. The best bit was the clean, bright, soothing, atmosphere. Top marks folks. read more

It's no secret to local coffee lovers that Patticakes moving into this old Starbucks location was the best thing to happen west of Parker Road in a long time. Seriously, this place has the best cafe con leche in town. The owners have done an excellent job making the space feel homey. There is a plethora of indoor and outdoor seating, and the giant windows bring in gorgeous natural lighting. This is a great second location (and there is a lot more parking here than in Haile Village). The food and drink are consistently good. They have quiches and breakfast sandwiches, and all the drinks you'd want in your favorite coffee shop. The service is fantastic. And the time between ordering and receiving your items is fast! Patticakes is an absolute must have! Their coffee is delicious and they are never as busy as Starbucks, in my personal opinion their coffee is significantly better than any other coffee place in the area. The ambiance is very trendy and the staff is always ready to help and they are always just very kind. They also sell baked goods, which are always very delicious. I have yet to try the ice cream but that is definitely on my to-do list. My personal go to order is the triple iced Café con Leche. I grew up in Miami where café con leche was available at basically every restaurant and in the Greater Gainesville area Patticakes definitely has the best tasting café con leche. read more

Very inviting environment with esthetic design. We got here to get a quick breakfast on a Saturday morning. Ordered a bagel and cream cheese along with a regular coffee. The coffee was so strong that I emptied the half and added hot water to it, and still, it was strong. The bagel was dence and not toasted enoght that it felt crumbly inside. They had a great selection of seasonal drinks (back then it was pumpkin spice season transitioning into the holiday drink season) plus your typical regular options. I used to love this place. Until this morning (2/19) when I come in and ordered an iced caramel latte. It tasted burnt and I did not want to complain so my friend simply went up to ask them to put more flavor into it. It still did not taste good and considering I paid money for it, I wanted to enjoy my coffee. I went up to the counter very politely to ask for a different coffee and was asked why. I said it tasted burnt and would like to try another coffee. The first worker walked away with an attitude, which even my friend had noticed. Another worker came up to charge me for the difference of the coffee, which I was fine with. I asked for the first workers name and was once again asked why I needed it. I told him that he had attitude and simply wanted to know. The worker told me no, and that I didn't need that information. At that point I get frustrated and the worker goes on about how legally he doesn't need to give me that information. At that point I am mad, because I asked nicely for a new coffee just to get attitude and told no for their names. I bring up knowing the manager Dave, and he says he cannot find my previous order and does not charge me. I walk away to tell my friend very loudly how upset I was and started to write a review. In the middle of writing the review, the worker who had told me no for their names had come up to apologize. He tells me he is the shift lead and that we got off on the wrong foot. I appreciated this. UNTIL he told me that the other employee was very nice and that I may have been the one with the attitude. In the end, he does tell me both of their names, which made no sense to his statement before saying that legally he didn't have to tell me. As a shift lead, he is 100% wrong to say that and as the saying goes, the customer is always right. Especially one like me who asked very nicely and was even willing to pay the difference for a coffee they gave me that tasted awful. As a side note, my friend who was with me is a barista and also acknowledges how horrible that interaction went and the unprofessional way these 2 young men acted. I hope they do better, because I enjoyed going to patticakes but I do not know if I will be back. read more
