Been wanting to try this place for a while. On our way to the National Museum down the street we popped in for a coffee. This was about 2.30 with the advertised closing time at 3, so we thought we'd have to settle for take out. Not a bit of it. We were waved to a table in a surprisingly small but cozy room just as a massive posse of, I'm guessing, law students from Blackhall Place also descended. Anyway, service was brisk and there seemed to be no pressure to leave so we upped our order to a spectacular BLT served with excellent chips. My companion ordered a scone which was pretty good too. Something just didn't click. Iunno if it's just because I don't like cooked greens in my meals or not but I don't think it was just that. On this particular day I ordered the Chorizo Benedict and it definitely looked good. All the ingredients were cooked enough but the flavor's didn't blend as much as I'm used to with Benny's. I think I would of liked it more if the Hollandaise sauce had just a little bit more flavor. This was BY FAR the best breakfast I had in Dublín. We were able to get here in a quick 15 minute walk from where we were staying. We got here around the time they opened, 8am so we didn't have to wait for a seat. All of the staff were very attentive and we got our food in a good amount do time. My vegetarian breakfast came with: veggie sausage (which was a mash up of veggies), delicious beans, sautéed mushrooms, spinach, a tomato and an over easy egg. Oh and this suuuuper yummy potato chive mash. I easily finished my plate and was satisfied. Great location and close to our hotel. Traditional Irish breakfast with a twist. Staff was very helpful, warm, and inviting, and they made us feel very welcome. I simply went with the yogurt and granola which also had strawberries in it, and was very tasty. My travel mate went with scrambled eggs and gluten-free toast which they were happy with. Went for lunch here and it was buzzing. It's a simple but cosy restaurant/ cafe with some outdoor seating, not that you need it a lot in this town ha ha ha. Menu is good with a range of choices including vegetarian and vegan. It's classical gastro pub style cuisine with burgers, fish and chips and all day breakfasts. They also have Guinness on tap here. My fish and chips was good and the onion rings are great. Portions were generous and just right and prices reasonable. Good staff and very friendly service as well. I am surprised there are not other photos of the pancakes! They were absolutely delicious. Soft on the inside with a crusted edge. My only complaint is the bacon covered in syrup on top! It was my last day in Dublin and my friend I were planning on visiting a musuem down the street and we wanted to brunch spot nearby. I found this place on Yelp and it looked good! We arrived Sunday around 1 and I was worried it might be busy as it's still brunch time but we were seated right away with no wait even considering the dining room was full. My friend and I were set on the full Irish breakfa as we enjoyed it the first time we had it while in Dublin. I also ordered a mocha coffee drink. This place unfortunately wasn't on our radar because it's a little further out from the city center, but I stumbled across it on our last day looking for any breakfast place that was open on New Year's and Wuff delivered. I'm so glad we came because it was our favorite breakfast of the trip and I would definitely come back again next time I'm in Dublin and certainly recommend it for anyone local or visiting. I looked at a lot of "top breakfast" lists... it's hard to narrow down which ones are actually going to suit what you're looking for - some were too fancy/modern/hipster, some were too limited in options, some had too many options... - we really just wanted a cozy place with good local options with a creative take on classics but nothing over the top. Wuff was the perfect embodiment of that and I only wish I had found it sooner! We had the Full Irish, Chorizo Eggs Benedict, side of Caesar Fries and 2 delicious Wufftinis. Everything was just delicious. The caesar fries were new to me, but they were so good and I absolutely recommend trying! They offered sauces - I happily asked for all of them - brown, mustard, hot sauce, ketchup and they were the perfect accompaniments to my full Irish breakfast. On the invite of Elite Hazel M, I ventured here at the weekend. Great location in that it's serviced by many Luas stops, bus routes etc. The interior is fresh with a future forward country kitchen type of look. I love the matte black paint texture at the counter area. The tables and chairs are comfortable, brown sugar in medicine containers which is cute. Plenty of windows to daydream out of. Very friendly service, I got the porridge with berries and it was great. The right amount of oaty chewiness with richness of the milk. I also got some coffee which was well made and hit the spot. The menu is short which to me always is a positive as it means that the ingredients are fresh and it also allows the chef to perfect the dishes. Hazel had the poached eggs with Gruyere cheese, decadently divine. Next time I go I will opt for something a bit more exciting although that's no slight about the porridge (I just got it as I knew I'd be over indulging in beer later so my rationale is that being healthy in the am balances out my badness in the pm, please don't tell me otherwise). Not a lot of places to have brunch in Smithfield on the weekend, Wuff being the most popular choice. We ordered an eggs Benedict and jerk chicken burger, the former was delicious with the hollandaise sauce spot on. The jerk chicken was well, not very jerky - I'd imagine an orgy of Caribbean flavours in my mouth but it just tasted like grilled chicken. Coffee was excellent with some superpower mugs they use that keep the coffee hot for ages. You know you always wince at tepid coffee midway through brunch - well that didn't happen! Not much to bark about in my opinion. Things started on a downward slide when we were seated beside 3 students doing a presentation and they needed to encroach across all available space. I don't blame wuff for this but seriously people get some manners. The full Irish was OK. The beans out of a tin which I think is just wrong as it doesn't take much to make them. The sausage and poached egg we're the highlights. I love a belini but what I got was flat tasting and the bottom of a long open bottle.
