Sausage Roll
Curtis R.

Quick stop for breakfast and there were many nice choices including the full Irish breakfast but time was not on my side! Sausage roll seemed like a quick choice but had to wait for it to be heated and in the end might have ordered the not full Irish breakfast and got it in the same time, no one's fault. Every place seems to sell the same sausage roll and I was not impressed here or anywhere else. I was expecting real sausage and not a pastie filling. Staff was good and the inside large and would go back for other dishes.

This was the perfect place to stop for breakfast this morning. The place was hopping when we got there about 10am but that was fine with us. I loved the variety they offered of different foods along with the beautiful decor and great coffee shop vibe. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. My husband opted for a macchiato and full Irish breakfast, my one daughter went with just a yogurt with granola, the other went with the mini Irish breakfast and I opted for an iced caramel latte and the avo poached egg dish. Everything was great and perfectly seasoned and balanced. We are everything and I was even crapping my plate to get the last bits. I would definitely come back again.

Absolutely loved it here. I felt as if I could stay forever. It was so relaxing. The smell of good coffee, being surrounded by good books, good food, friendly service, what more could a person ask for? They have outdoor seating as well, the prices on their food are very reasonable.

Goat cheese wrap with tomato basil soup

Very nice little shop with ready-made sandwiches that they heat up. I got the soup and sandwich special with the goat cheese wrap and tomato basil soup and it was delicious! Just what the cooler weather called for. I also got a dirty chai and it was not overly-seasoned and was near-perfect! Great atmosphere for studying or just popping in for some breakfast or lunch!

Came here Friday late morning and got the full Irish breakfast, which was super filling! Definitely a meal you'll be in a food coma in after. The cafe decor is super cute, and i loved that there were lots of large windows to let in natural light. It was pretty crowded when I got there, but I was able to snag one of the few remaining seats.

This was my choice for breakfast twice in Dublin. It was convenient to my hotel. But it's the type of place I would have searched out if I had to. I loved the scones, the breakfast sandwiches, and the full Irish breakfast. If I get back to Dublin, I'll happily come back here.

After arriving in to Dublin at around 10AM and dropping our bags at the Ashling Hotel, my girlfriend and I went searching for a quick bite that had a good Irish breakfast. We saw the reviews and that Third Space was within 10 minutes walking distance. We arrived to a bustling space, and were able to get a table for two without a wait. We each ordered a black coffee and Irish breakfast. Coffee was really good (it is a coffee cafe after all), and the breakfasts came out in under 20 minutes. Everything was good and we cleaned our plates. Although we didn't come back during our weeklong stay, I would certainly go again for something quick and cheap.

After a morning at the Guinness Storehouse, we definitely needed some type of sustanance before heading over to the Jameson Distillery for the afternoon. I turned to Yelp for a quick, casual lunch and Third Space popped up with very favorable reviews. You order at the counter, receive a number, and seat yourself if dining in. There are quite a few different sandwiches, wraps, and pastries on display. There is also a full kitchen menu. My husband and I shared the goat cheese, spinach and pesto wrap and a cajun chicken sandwich. Both were heated up in the panini press and delivered to our table a few minutes later. The goat cheese wrap was SO good! The only downside to our visit was that the credit card machine was down and we were lucky to have 20 Euro left in our wallets. Overall, I am so glad we found this place to re-feul before overindulging at Jameson across the way.

Order at the bar

A small cafe at the center of Dublin. Walk in and order at the bar. If you're unsure, grab a seat and look at the menu. The Third Space offers a variety of menu items but they do produce a limited quantity. Food can run out. The food itself is a healthy portion and fairly priced. My pastrami sandwich was placed on the plancha and warmed until the cheese melted. The dish. And out hit and it was delicious. I recommend this cafe for a nice, peaceful breakfast experience. ¡Provecho!

The Full Irish Breakfast - most popular dish for good reasons.

The perfect way to start your day with a fun atmosphere full of amazing smells and music. This place is close to the Jameson distillery. I wish I could remember the name of the other dish which was delicious.

Great place for a good breakfast. I ordered the full Irish breakfast (egg, toast, black and white pudding, sausage, beans, tomatoes, bacon, and a portobello mushroom) and thoroughly enjoyed it. The menu also includes lighter options as well: a mini Irish breakfast, granola, porridge, and pastries. Go in, grab a table, and go up and order. The food is delivered fast. Very enjoyable and convenient experience.

The portion sizes kind of seem small but that could be because my girlfriend and I split everything and it was basically a couple of bites from each other's dishes. We got the blueberry lemon pancakes, and a meat dish for the needed protein, so one savory and one sweet, the way breakfast is meant to be worshipped and devoured simultaneously. Beautiful, small place that gets packed very quickly. Interestingly enough I thought it was a French bistro, but I believe the owners hail from Ukraine as that is the country flag that was hung outside the shape if my world history learnings are correct. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and would come back in a New York minute if I get the chance to visit Dublin again. As always people SYOY!!!

I do wish the bacon side had 2 slices but it only comes with 1. My husband had French crepes with blueberry supreme topping and an order of the potato fritters, which is its own meal. I had hot tea and he had a cappuccino. Be reminded that this is a European sized cup not a giant American size. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals so much so that I left no scraps on my plate. My husband didn't finish his fritters that have avocado on them bc he's not a fan of avocado. He forgot to ask that they be removed. His fault. Very nice young staff. I wish that we had discovered this restaurant sooner bc we would have eaten breakfast there again but we discovered it on our second to last day.

We went back a second time on our trip and got a few more pastries, all of which were very delicious. The pastries were hot, flakey, glistening, delicate, and perfectly sweet on both visits. I would definitely come back if I were to visit Dublin again.

I didn't wait more than 5/10 minutes. I grabbed a couple of different things for us to try -- the focaccia, morning bun, salted caramel roll, and the cinnamon roll. My favorite was easily the focaccia, which could compete with the best I had in Italy -- so good. The morning bun was good, but nothing crazy exciting. The salted caramel roll had to be the least caramel-y caramel roll I've ever had, but it didn't taste bad and the salted part was interesting (in a good way!). The Cinnamon roll was unique, which I appreciate. It had a big glob of cream cheese frosting (too much for me, but I imagine it would float a lot of folks' boats) and some orange flavoring! I quite liked the orange. I wanted to get a matcha to go, but they said they didn't have disposable cups. You could buy a 5 euro reusable one and then if you brought it back you'd get a refund... interesting, but I was leaving that day and wouldn't be back in the area. I can't speak to the ambiance because we were in and out, but it looked like they had a decent amount of space. All in all, I would recommend this place! For me it was a 4, but I'm sure for some it would bop up to a 5.

Sunken below street level it feels more off the main path and you have to keep your eyes out to find it easily. Walking in the place has a real chill and cozy vibe up front. I was seated right way and ordered off their all day menu. I got their Double Baked eggs, brown soda bread, bacon, sausage and roast tomato. For my tastes the double baked eggs were overdone, but that's double baked for you. Everything else was so delicious though that I truly didn't even notice. It was a wonderful pile of meat overflowing out of a little skillet with a stack of soda bread and butter. Truly it was a delight. I also ordered up their irish coffee. This was especially fun because it's not a simple shot of whiskey, coffee and cream. They create a brown sugar syrup blended with the whiskey to cook off the alcohol but retain the flavor. This means you can day drink and not even bat an eye at it being strange. The flavor was delicious and I'll be trying to recreate this at home for sure.

I walked in on a Wednesday morning, right as they opened at 9am, and was seated immediately. The sit-in part of Brother Hubbard is bright, relaxing, spacious with plenty of tables inside and there's a patio outside with plenty of tables as well. The waitress came over with a menu and gave me plenty of time to look it over. She was very courteous and pleasant, checking in throughout my time there, never hovering. For breakfast, I ordered an Americano, a ginger scone, and their Irish Oat Porridge - Classic. Their porridge is organic oats made with milk and with ordering it as "Classic", it was served with cream and honey. Starting with the ginger scone, this was another case of a perfectly baked scone - Crispy, golden exterior with a moist, buttery interior. The flavor of ginger was perfectly balanced and the raisins inside were a nice supplement to the scone. The porridge was really good, I loved the creaminess of it! Both did a nice job of filling me up and setting me up for the day of walking to come. Funny enough, around 3:30pm, I stopped here again to grab a mid-afternoon treat and ordered the chocolate and hazelnut Babka, their soft bun filled with chocolate and toasted hazelnuts. This pastry was crazy tasty! A slightly crispy exterior with a croissant-like inside chocked full of chocolate and those toasted hazelnuts. This was so rich and truly decadent. Brother Hubbard is a gem of a breakfast and pastry spot! I appreciate the relaxing café environment with friendly staff and high-quality food. However, the brunch rush came afterwards and by the time I left, the entire place was filled. It's popular. And yes, it's the same spot Phil Rosenthal ate at. I even saw the owner who was featured on the show here, helping out with clearing tables and so forth. I ordered the traditional Irish breakfast and an iced chai latte. The food was good and actually, not as heavy as I anticipated. It came with an egg, sausage, bacon, beans and a pudding, which I had to look up. It's ground meat with oats and is molded into a patty. It didn't taste bad, so can see why it's served around these parts of the world. And the meal also came with another item I had to look up, colcannon bread, which was a potato bread with kale. And it was my favorite part of the breakfast! Delicious. If you're looking for a breakfast spot in Dublin, then I'm pretty sure you already know about Brother Hubbard, which is popular, all for good reason.
