Quick stop for breakfast and there were many nice choices including the full Irish breakfast but time was not on my side! Sausage roll seemed like a quick choice but had to wait for it to be heated and in the end might have ordered the not full Irish breakfast and got it in the same time, no one's fault. Every place seems to sell the same sausage roll and I was not impressed here or anywhere else. I was expecting real sausage and not a pastie filling. Staff was good and the inside large and would go back for other dishes.
This was the perfect place to stop for breakfast this morning. The place was hopping when we got there about 10am but that was fine with us. I loved the variety they offered of different foods along with the beautiful decor and great coffee shop vibe. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. My husband opted for a macchiato and full Irish breakfast, my one daughter went with just a yogurt with granola, the other went with the mini Irish breakfast and I opted for an iced caramel latte and the avo poached egg dish. Everything was great and perfectly seasoned and balanced. We are everything and I was even crapping my plate to get the last bits. I would definitely come back again.
Very nice little shop with ready-made sandwiches that they heat up. I got the soup and sandwich special with the goat cheese wrap and tomato basil soup and it was delicious! Just what the cooler weather called for. I also got a dirty chai and it was not overly-seasoned and was near-perfect! Great atmosphere for studying or just popping in for some breakfast or lunch!
Came here Friday late morning and got the full Irish breakfast, which was super filling! Definitely a meal you'll be in a food coma in after. The cafe decor is super cute, and i loved that there were lots of large windows to let in natural light. It was pretty crowded when I got there, but I was able to snag one of the few remaining seats.

We saw the reviews and that Third Space was within 10 minutes walking distance. We arrived to a bustling space, and were able to get a table for two without a wait. We each ordered a black coffee and Irish breakfast. Coffee was really good (it is a coffee cafe after all), and the breakfasts came out in under 20 minutes. Everything was good and we cleaned our plates. Although we didn't come back during our weeklong stay, I would certainly go again for something quick and cheap.
After a morning at the Guinness Storehouse, we definitely needed some type of sustanance before heading over to the Jameson Distillery for the afternoon. I turned to Yelp for a quick, casual lunch and Third Space popped up with very favorable reviews. You order at the counter, receive a number, and seat yourself if dining in. There are quite a few different sandwiches, wraps, and pastries on display. There is also a full kitchen menu. My husband and I shared the goat cheese, spinach and pesto wrap and a cajun chicken sandwich. Both were heated up in the panini press and delivered to our table a few minutes later. The goat cheese wrap was SO good! The only downside to our visit was that the credit card machine was down and we were lucky to have 20 Euro left in our wallets. Overall, I am so glad we found this place to re-feul before overindulging at Jameson across the way.

The Third Space offers a variety of menu items but they do produce a limited quantity. Food can run out. The food itself is a healthy portion and fairly priced. My pastrami sandwich was placed on the plancha and warmed until the cheese melted. The dish. And out hit and it was delicious. I recommend this cafe for a nice, peaceful breakfast experience. ¡Provecho!
We were only able to visit Third Space twice on our vacation to Dublin in June. We ordered pancakes, bacon, eggs, tea, coffee. All very good, worth the money. The service and atmosphere were very nice. We tried to go back Friday night, but they were hosting a charity that needed a reservation. The young woman at the door came out after us to offer to accommodate us at a spare table, but we only wanted coffee and didn't want to impose. It was really nice of her to try. I don't remember her name, but she was adorable! Great location too. Our children, 12, 13, and 16, played on the obstacle course in the courtyard. They list Third Space and the courtyard as one of their best memories of our vacation. Thank you! ~ Georgia in California
Great place for a good breakfast. I ordered the full Irish breakfast (egg, toast, black and white pudding, sausage, beans, tomatoes, bacon, and a portobello mushroom) and thoroughly enjoyed it. The menu also includes lighter options as well: a mini Irish breakfast, granola, porridge, and pastries. Go in, grab a table, and go up and order. The food is delivered fast. Very enjoyable and convenient experience.
This was our first stop in Ireland. We were in look for a place for lunch & came across Third Space. It is along a common area with plenty of seating & communal books to read through. I was wanting to try something authentically Irish. I went with the Black Pudding Sausage Roll. I have never had black pudding before & was going to give it a try. Its appearance was different than what I had envisioned but again I have never had it. The roll was quite tasty. My wife looked at the blacken pastry log with both discuss & curiosity. She looked up let her judgement down & speed to the internet for this mysterious beginning. Upon, learning of it origin asked if I had known what the contents were of this darken beast. Knowing the context of the question & that she would inform me of my potential horror I pressed on. The Black Pudding Sausage Roll was finished before the origins could be revealed. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has never experienced a true Irish meal. read more

I am going to start where it all began in Ireland, sort of. As I did not want to have a second straight continental breakfast, my tour guide suggested Third Space, a café not far from the hotel I was staying at. They allegedly serve an authentic Irish breakfast, which I had to try. It is all mostly delicious, affordable, and the service is friendly and fast to boot. The plate is arrayed beautifully, with the beans, sausage, rashers, and eggs tasting fresh. The generous amount of toast more than makes up for the heavy meats on the plate. Unfortunately I was not a fan of the pudding, and the hash browns did look a tad greasy, but the tomato and mushroom make up for them. They added good texture and balance to the meal. Sit back and relax, or get to work early and enjoy a nice breakfast here. It is a great way to start your day off right. read more

What a wonderful coffee shop in a great spot! While visiting town, I needed to get a morning's worth of work done. I researched spots on Yelp that seemed conducive to working comfortably and also offered food. Third Space locally sources their coffee and rotates their food menu. They offer a small Irish breakfast in the morning and an expansive drink menu. The space itself has some cozy areas and shelves full of books, including a kid section. I appreciated that they have a laptop-free time from 12:30-2:30. I sat at a 2-top near the books that luckily had an outlet and a great view of the green outside. The kind workers roamed and checked in periodically and the food and drink were fabulous. I ordered: -Oat milk latte-so good I had two as I worked -Avocado toast -spicy sauce, creamy avocado mash on lovely, toasted bread.. Perfectly poached eggs and a sun-dried tomato addition. Great service. Friendly, helpful, constantly checking on patrons. Worker (newly moved from Brazil) especially kind as he bussed tables. This was one of my favorite spots in Dublin and I will seek it out again when I come back to town. Highly recommend! read more

Absolutely loved it here. I felt as if I could stay forever. It was so relaxing. The smell of good coffee, being surrounded by good books, good food, friendly service, what more could a person ask for? They have outdoor seating as well, the prices on their food are very reasonable. read more

This was my choice for breakfast twice in Dublin. It was convenient to my hotel. But it's the type of place I would have searched out if I had to. I loved the scones, the breakfast sandwiches, and the full Irish breakfast. If I get back to Dublin, I'll happily come back here. read more

The perfect way to start your day with a fun atmosphere full of amazing smells and music. This place is close to the Jameson distillery. I wish I could remember the name of the other dish which was delicious. read more

Found this restaurant because it was right next to the apartment we were staying at. I was kind of worried when I saw the sandwiches pre-prepared already. I ordered the cajun chicken panini warmed up and it was delicious. It comes with a spicy mayo that add just the right flavor combination. If you like lemonade I highly recommend trying the sparkling pink lemonade. It is fantastic! read more

Had a wonderful breakfast and coffee here. The atmosphere is lovely with a ton of books to choose from. The bathroom is extremely clean, and there are two. Highly recommend, would come here again in a heartbeat. read more

Not my first visit to Third Space. This time I brought my children. Third Space did not disappoint. Breakfast brioches and full Irish breakfasts both quite delicious. The staff was friendly and kind. Think about buying a suspended coffee. Pay for two coffees and they will save the second coffee for someone in need. read more

The cutest spot in Smithfield for tea or coffee and breakfast. Enjoyed the full Irish breakfast and a cup of tea, just under 10€. Sit back and relax with a friend or by yourself! read more

Had a lovely breakfast here the other morning! Everything was fabulous, from the food, to the service and the people! Wonderful experience. I would highly recommend finding time to stop here for an awesome latte and fabulous breakfast! read more

Okay, so I ordered the vegetarian Irish breakfast (is this an oxymoron? Anyway...) which I was a bit skeptical over paying the 11 Euro or so, since most of the vegetarian breakfasts I had had since I was in Ireland consisted of 1 egg, toast, and a spoon full of baked beans. When they brought the plate out, I thought I must have ordered the wrong thing as this plate (see picture) was loaded with toast, mushrooms, grilled tomato, baked beans, two eggs, toast and more! AND everything was O-M-G delicious. Miss Sarit had a mocha that came with an affectionate heart design (awwwww... Wait, they're one-upping me! Fixed that later as I made a sorry looking heart out of food. Whatever, thought that counts?) and tasted like the love it symbolized. It made you feel warm and fuzzy, while satisfying both your chocolate and caffeine addiction. I would love for this place to just jettison over to New York City for a permanent relocation. What good is science if we can't make this happen? read more

This is a review I wanted to do for some time. There are a few things to say... 1. We ordered 2 sandwiches, 2 choc chip muffins, 1 sparkling water, 1 still water. Total : 19eur. This said, we were very hungry so we paid. But seriously? 2. We tried to sit outside. Busy but we found a spot. We had to ask to get the table we wanted cleaned. And when we sat, the tables are so close together that you can litteraly take part in your neighbours conversation ! 3. The food arrived pretty fast, which is cool. I just noticed a piece of calcinated bread under my sandwich. Probably from another sandwich before. Which raises the question of the kitchen. Is that cleaned up regularly? 4. The waitress was nice, no worries a about that. 5. The place is down my house so it's super practical to go for brunch on Sunday morning. All in all I give the place 3 stars because everytime I go there is something negative to say. But overall if you have money to spend and you don't mind taking part in an italian conversation, that's the place to go ! read more
Ok I'm gonna update my review again! I haven't come across many mini-people lately (maybe I've become adept at avoiding them at their most dense...) At the end of the day, this is a wonderful addition to the area. Really really well priced food, excellent quality, and a comfortable environment in which you are free to work on a laptop for hours, or sit and chat to a new neighbour, or pick out a book from their library and have a read. They have lots of little community events as well that happen in the evening times - I have yet to try the big dinners in which you pay what you feel they're worth, usually in aid of some local fundraising, but they sound amazing, and I definitely will in the new year. Third Space is open 1 month today and it looks like business is deservedly thriving. Lovely roomy cafe, huge windows, nice seating, bookshelves, games for kids and pricing appropriate to the CEC (Current Economic Climate) Panini - a much abused term for sandwich - indeed, more correctly the singular I believe is panino - of a decent size, accompanied by two side salads for €4.50. Great range of sandwiches/wraps/bagels and for a proper lunch the special of the day was Pork and Oyster Mushroom Ragout with Fresh Rosemary and Mashed Potato for €7. Lunch served from 12.00 - 15.00 It is to be hoped that the totalitarian plaza architecture of Smithfield will be offset by the new ventures in around this historic meeting place - the excellent Block T, artist Frank Buckley's billion euro home in the Glass House http://billioneurohouse.com/, the reopening of the Lighthouse Cinema and now Third Space cafe - oh, what a lovely recession! read more
Great breakfast at a great price! Very friendly, welcoming, and warm yet contemporary feeling place and much more modern than you'd expect for Dublin. We found this on Yelp after all of our recommendations weren't open early enough, but this place was close by, open, and highly rated. We were very pleasantly surprised! It has a very unique and comfortable atmosphere that you immediately notice when entering. The staff were some of the most friendly people we've met in all of our travels around Europe. The baked goods were great, and the Irish breakfast was delicious! Everything was cooked to perfection, and big portions made it a great value! They even have a smaller version of the full Irish breakfast if you aren't as hungry. I agree with the other reviewers, the food here is great, but it is definitely the atmosphere that makes it so highly recommended. read more

What a cute place for breakfast! Located just off a Luas stop, it's super accessible. The place isn't too big, but there's a bunch of indoor as well as outdoor seating. It's a very fast-moving place: you order at the front and they bring your food out to you. I ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich and a side of eggs. Both were very tasty and came out fairly quickly. There are a bunch of bookcases and cozy seating, which makes this a great place to hang out for a bit and relax. Also a great people - watching location! read more

Our first stop on our Ireland trip and specifically in Dublin! What a lovely place to stop for a hearty breakfast. We were so exhausted from an overnight flight to Dublin and wanted a little pick me up before exploring the area a bit. I had been familiar with Irish breakfasts prior to this visit and was SO excited to have one. I was not disappointed in the least. We ordered the Full Irish Breakfast and the Veggie Irish Breakfast. SO GOOD!! The Veggie Irish Breakfast included fried eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, fried potatoes, baked beans, and toast. The Full Irish was the meat option and thus included same as the Veggie but with bacon, sausage, and black/white pudding. Service was warm, friendly, and quick. We were seated after placing out order and our food arrived in less than 5 minutes. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy with a cool book exchange bookshelf. Its location is perfect as it's accessible by public transit and is right across the street from the Jameson Distillery, if you choose to make your way over :-) read more
Convenient and adorable little cafe/book shelves for anyone staying in the Smithfield area of Dublin. Service is great and food is amazing. You can borrow a book and read while you eat. Get the irish breakfast or the filled crossaint (cheese and bacon) with a cup of tea to start your day. This cafe is right across the street from generator hostel! read more

A very good, reasonably-priced café with a mix of locals and tourists due to its proximity to the Jameson Distillery. We went for breakfast on a Saturday, and immediately loved the interior: bright and spacious, with quirky decorative touches to make it feel more at home. The service is partially self-serve, but very efficient. You order & pay at the counter, get a numbered stand, your own utensils and they will bring you your order when it's ready. Two lattes, poached eggs on toast (served with roasted new potatoes, grilled tomatoes and mushrooms), and a massive ham & cheese croissant set us back €12. Not bad at all, considering the quality of ingredients. Tip: if you are a soy latte drinker like me, I think their coffee is a bit too acidic to make one without the milk coagulating. The first one was so lumpy, I had to send it back, and they were nice enough to make it for me again, but it still had little clumps in it. read more

They have an order at the counter system but no one bother to explain this to us when we arrived. The staff generally seemed to be unaware of our presence in the place. Our food all arrived at different times. They were quite busy when we arrived but that isn't an excuse for poor service. I had the full breakfast and after a fairly hefty night it did the job. A friend had the pancakes and bacon which were also very tasty.They have endless refills on coffee which is something I'd like to see more of in Dublin. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed, perhaps too relaxed when it came to service. I like what this place is trying to do and with a good manager it could be reaching for a much higher rating. read more
Note: I just ate cake ;) This is a nice location. Perfect for students to chill or people, who wants to broaden their perspective. It has nice an comfy places. On the upper space you are allowed to just talk to people and get to know new people. Nice idea. Also a lot of books to have a look at (which are not so ancient like in most hostels). Everthing is so nice, clean, healthy, fresh, light :) read more
