Emers is just up the street from St Stephens Green!

What a great concept - get 'em in and get 'em out! Emer's is the ideal to-go / take-out lunch spot in City Center Dublin. The menu is simple: Sandwiches, Soup, and Salads. And, all very healthy to top it off! Each day there's a posting on facebook of the specials. You can order a combination of any of the items. There's even a fritata special and lots of baked goods. The eats are great and they run out by 2pm or just slightly thereafter. So, get in line and get your lunch on ... and if there is a line, the turnaroud is really quick. They take orders, charge for them and hand them to you so quickly that you won't know what hit you until you take a bit of that fritata or the roasted turkey sandwich or the dilled lemony potatoe salad. It's good food. It's reasonable. And, it's quick and easy. Plus it's super cute. Get in here! (And get outta here just as quickly!)

The counter loaded with scones, muffins, and other treats!

A sparkling brand new spot that's only been open a few weeks and already busy every morning when I walk by. There's not really any space to sit, so it's just a take-away place doing breakfast and lunches at the moment. Basically a little cafe with assorted fresh-baked goodies and coffee for breakfast, and soup & sandwiches at lunch. When I went, they only had one soup & sandwich option going, but I understand they are looking to expand their menu once they get their footing. I am addicted to their raspberry scones! The first one I had was still warm... flaky and moist, with just a light dusting of sugar to give it that extra crunch on the outside. It feels like I'm cheating winter eating fresh raspberry scones (out of season fruits - oh so luxurious). It's so hard to say no to one of these, especially when the towers of scones on display are clearly visible to any passer-by!

Since I don't eat red meat, I was very excited to see a vegetarian Irish breakfast option. I ordered this as well as a mocha latte. Despite the rain, my friend and I sat outside since all of the indoor seating was occupied. Thankfully some heaters provided warmth for what could've been a chilly breakfast. Very quickly the lattes came out which my friend and I sipped on. They were soooo cute, mine had the design of a little bear on top! The latte itself was hot and not too sweet, the perfect start to the experience. After a few short minutes, the food came out! Immediately, my friend and I dug in. It was honestly everything I expected and even more! There were no weak links on the plate and there were generous portions as well. I sat there for a while working my way through my delicious plate!! Overall, I was very happy with my experience at Beanhive. It was an aesthetic cafe that also provided a hearty breakfast. I would definitely recommend.

Queen of Tarts (both locations) is by far one of my favorite tea room/bakeries. They carry only the finest sweets and teas. Everything is homemade. They do an excellent brunch as well. The scones have got to be some of the best ever. I've had a lot in my travels and these are grand. The service is always excellent as well. The decor is as charming as it gets. Proper tea service on floral patterned China, giving all the Marie Antoinette feels. A+.

Friendly service. For breakfast, I loved their vegetarian Irish breakfast that they no longer make, but they do have a traditional Irish breakfast. Only served for breakfast or all day during the weekend. Their pancakes were super delicious (€13). We tried it with honey, syrup, Nutella and banana's. These are served all day and everyday. I also tried their baked beans and kale that came with tomato baked beans and fried kale on bread and topped with fried eggs (€14.5). It was good. Another breakfast item that is served for breakfast or all day on the weekends. Their Caprese sandwich for lunch is addictive and they pair it with a great tasty bread (€11). Their cakes and teas are tasty, I love their chocolate cake. Their coffee, lattes and Mocha are average. But the experience and atmosphere still make them enjoyable. Overall, this is a place that I will always visit.

Then there's the bakery. We had a Guinness cruffin because, well, this is Dublin! It was delicious and worthy of the praise from Ian, the barista who very enthusiastically recommended it. The Shakshuka and Turkish Eggs entrees were absolutely amazing. Strong flavors, distinct ingredients, perfectly prepared, and pretty. For those with food allergies/sensitivities, the menu is outstandingly marked with items that can be made (AVG for available as gluten free). The service is kind, friendly, and polite.
