How pretty is Peacock Green? Very pretty and all of it is just lovely to look at. Decent coffee in the morning, with quality scones too. I was short 20c one morning when I was in for some takeout coffee, but the server told me there was no need for me to go to bank machine and let me off. How nice? Being nice like this is what gets people back in. I've been for lunch now too and that was very tasty indeed. I opted for the Italian Job, which was Parma ham, mozzarella, tomato, leaves and pesto on a sourdough baguette. I got it toasted and was served up with a spoonful of couscous salad. 6 EUR for this eat-in. All the other food looked really nice too, with the presentation of it all impressive. That said, I wish I had ordered it for take out. There looked like there was seating available when we ordered, but the long table in the middle of the seating area that seats about 16-18 had been reserved for about 14 people. We nab another table when some folk happen to be leaving, but we watched as staff ask people to vacant seats at this reserved table only to find there was no where else for them to sit. It just doesn't seem the type of place that's suited for reserving tables, not during lunchtime anyway and not for that many people. Thats my rant over on that subject. All in all, recommended.

Very pretty cakes in the window! Lots of different teas. Interesting and inventive sandwich combinations. This is a new enough café and it is quite off the beaten track but very much worth a visit! I've had the Italian sandwich, so tasty! Also had a lemongrass tea, so yum!

My wife has been raving about Peacockgreen for some time now so I made the little trip in the other day with her! The location in itself is awesome. It's under the old Harcourt Street Railway Station (a fascinating building in its own right) but underneath lies a cool little ally way of coffee shops and eateries. Peacockgreen being one of them. At this point in time I can only vouch for the incredibly friendly and welcoming staff and the amazing coffee. As I was on route to work when I popped in I didn't have time to eat but from what I could see it all looked amazing! It remains in the bookmark folder for lunch. Stay tuned for my review of the food.

I've been coming to Peacock Green for some time now as it's close to my office - but that's not the only reason, there are loads of great cafes in the area. What brings me back here for my daily 10am coffee date with ms Shazza is 2 of the staff that we have regular contact with here. They're always delighted to see us and really make us feel welcome. The coffee is very good quality and they have a different guest bean of the month, there is a large selection of foods available too including tasty treats. I also love how quirky this place is, lots of gorgeous decor and little details. you can even purchase some of the items they have on show. 5 stars for these guys!

I just feel about meh about this place. I want to like it but I also feel a little disappointed on the way out. The hot chocolate and matcha lattes just don't do it for me-the consistency is never right. The food and the baked treats are good, but nothing to write home about. They taste how the should, they seem fresh, but they seem a little bland. The interior is cute, it seems clean and the staff are lovely. Just nothing to make it stand out for me. I don't know if it's the fussy eater in me because this place is popular.

I pop into PG almost daily and the coffee has always been excellent. Really friendly staff too who after my first visit seemed to remember me. Love places like this. I love the quirky interior too. One thing I would say their matcha tea is pretty decent but the matcha latte.... Wooooo... I couldn't finish it but that's nothing against PG just the matcha!

Good coffee, good setting, good service.

Love the range of breads available for making your own sandwiches, good range of Italian ingredients, staff are friendly and helpful. Prices? Average. This is a great spot for a coffee mid morning, nice and quiet with plenty of space and a nice setting.

Coffee is very nice, and the pastries are delish! The decor is very nice and homely. Location is hidden slightly, but worth the visit.

I had the brisket sandwich as the chicken melt was sold out, so I'll be back, but be aware and order ahead if you are going to get there late.

The staff were friendly and it was busy, but not too full. I came in a little after 130pm, and I think I'd been in a bit earlier there would have been longer lunch queues. If there is a queue it's worth the wait. I haven't had a Reuben sandwich probably since I left Canada in 2016 (Reuben's are American, but you can get them all over Canada too). Dark rye bread, corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss cheese, dill pickle, and Russian dressing. It was delicious. Pickles aren't a staple on Reuben sandwiches, but I love pickles and was happy with this addition. It adds a nice little tang, along with the dressing. The soup was warm and delicious with a bright tomato flavour. Soup changes daily. Portions were quite large. I just got the soup and sandwich and when I ordered I wondered if it would be enough. It was. My tummy was quite happy after lunch here. I'll be back for sure. Or maybe I'll just order in, because they have free delivery in D1.

Jars of rocket pesto, packets of nuts, seeds and dried fruits, bottles of fine wine, sumptuous carrot cake and barrels of stuffed olives tempt the healthy palette. I bought a large packet of Kettle Chips (hand cooked potato chips with "absolutely nothing artificial") for €3.50. An expensive way to guiltlessly munch on crisps. My aunt and I split the beef casserole and the salmon (€11.95 each). All mains come with a fist-full of vegetarian pasta, beetroot and coleslaw. I also treated myself to a small tub of feta-stuffed olives. Yum! As we sat in the sunshine sipping our coffees (with soy milk if you please), we discussed the health benefits of tannins (any excuse for that caffeine hit or to uncork a nice bottle of red) and marvelled at the vibrant colours of the pansy violets that peered out at us from the cutest little flower pots.

Overall the atmosphere is relaxed, the surround inviting and there are lots of interesting pics to look at (and buy). Minus points for forgetting to deliver the coffees we ordered (the place wasn't busy!) but other than that a nice wee spot for a bite to eat.
