White cop chocolate cranberry flan (yaaaow), madelines, & a mini coconut cake. The coffee was a Tanzania, Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala mix.

On my flight to Dublin, the girl who sat next to me told me she studied abroad here, & didn't really eat much besides Chinese food (dies a little inside). I encouraged her to be adventurous with foods, especially while visiting other places. I had no idea Holland, Italy, & now Dublin had spectacular coffee & pastries. I'm always discovering a new love for a foreign favorite food, spice, etc. So, she then recommended Legit Coffee bc I'm obsessed with coffee & sweets. This place was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't expecting the variety & flavors. They have an unreal 4 blend coffee infused with Tanzanian, Brazilian, Colombian, & Guatemalan beans. It was strong but flavorful. To go with that deelish coffee, I had a mini coconut cake, Madeline's, & white chocolate & cranberry flan (I know right). Legit far exceeded my expectations. I was told it was good coffee with unique baked goods, but it was amazing coffee with equally amazing pastries. The workers were warm & helpful. I loved the scenery & vibe inside, so I hung out for awhile & charged my phone. The only downside is they close early. The first time we went it was closed, & we went to a store across the street to look around. They were shocked that we knew about the place & told us there's a market next door that's open on weekends. The day that I visited Legit, I went back there, & to the market. I had an amazing time. I recommend Legit to anyone going to Dublin. Swing by, try a few things, chill, charge up, then explore the immediate area.

This spot is super hip and warm! They have a ton of options on their drink and food menus. The barista was very friendly and chatty! I had a mocha, which was good! It was not very sweet but that's usually a sign it's better quality coffee and chocolate. :) This place is quite the find because it does not fit in very well with the rest of the surrounding neighborhood. Because it's off the beaten path a bit, it feels more local!

This place is UNREAL! Such a fantastic addition to Meath Street and in a great location for NCAD students to come get a great coffee. It genuinely feels like being transported to a Paris/IKEA hybrid when stepping foot in here. They have a wide range of coffees, teas, with the option of coconut, almond, soya or cows milk, savoury items such as sandwiches and pastries, and desserts such as cookies and muffins. I got a coconut milk matcha latte, and was here with a group of 11 others. Staff were so friendly and accommodating, they brought all of our orders down to our table and checked up on us too after a while, which was really nice as some people ordered more! They have soft, cool music playing just loud enough for you to hear but not obnoxiously enough to take over, and the decor is absolutely beautiful throughout. They do gluten free options on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays so unfortunately I missed out on trying any of their food, but everyone I was with said their food was incredible. Will definitely be returning here.

Love this cafe!! It's so legit!.. like what I did there? #corny Okay but seriously this place has charm and warmth to it. Stepping in I fell in love with the decor. It's just one of those places you want to stay and hang out with friends for hours on end, but also can stay by yourself and read a book. The staff was great there, welcoming, nice and really helpful! Even was willing to help us hail a cab using the local uber type app that locals use. The coffee was delicious as was every pastry we had! Be sure to order some of the meat filled rolls yall!

Lovely big mug of tea and the best cookies I've ever had. Freshly baked the service is great, I was there today and there was a group of 11 of us and they brought everything we ordered over to the tables. The saussie rolls looked really good too, a couple of my friends had them and said they were delicious. Such friendly and accommodating staff. The decor is fab. Reminds me of the seaside with their fold up tables and little flower pots.....soooo cute. Definely gunna be my usually haunt for a cuppa in the mornings :)

There is nothing I love more than trendy coffee shops and I hunt them down where I go (even abroad!), and I would say LEGIT fits nicely into that list for any coffee connoisseurs out there. I discovered it via Yelp of course; it's a bit of a walk from the city centre (around 15-20 mins from O'Connell), but the coffee is well worth it! The quality is excellent, the cups are big and the prices are cheaper than chain stores, which is what I find is the case in most independent coffee shops in general. The decor inside is very trendy and there is a room with three tables in the back in addition to the ones near the counter. The first thing I noticed on entering was the lovely smell of all the lovely looking sweet treats and baked goods! They also serve lunch which is mainly sandwiches. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere would be a bit hippy-ish with an arty feel to it; Plenty of Macbook users (or at least three when I went, but I'm one myself so I can't complain!), paleo foods in addition to a variety non-dairy milks like soya, almond and even coconut. It's not too noisy and has some nice seating, so it also seems like a nice enough place to read or study. Overall: Super trendy coffee shop that gives 3fe competition. Coffee: 5/5- Volume and strength! Price: Cheaper than Starbucks for the same volume. Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: Hip

If this place is good enough for Jamie Heaslip, it is good enough for me. So I thought and crossed the river into the Liberties. Although only 10mins from my apartment, crossing the river always seems like a bit of an ordeal and I needed some extra persuasion. I absolutely loved the place the second that I entered. A good mix of people in there, trendy interior that focuses on wood and really nice coffee. We also had carrot cake and an avo & salmon sandwich. My friend tried the hot chocolate which really tasted of chocolate and was devine. I think they used dark chocolate as it wasn't as sickly sweet as some hot chocolates can be. Big thumbs up for that. The only criticism I'd have is the use of paper. My sandwich came in a cardboard box instead of a plate and the carrot cake was served on a piece of paper on a wooden board. Nice on the eye, not so nice in terms of waste and being green.

Recently opened on Meath Street, this place ticks all the boxes for the new wave of coffee shops: handmade feel on the interior decor and furnishings, "authentic" without trying to hard, friendly staff, nice soundtrack, nice food, including paleo snacks and homemade sausage rolls. Oh, and of course, very good coffee. I really like it - a great addition to the area.

Had no idea Dublin had such amazing coffee. This place is perfect for a relaxing morning. I'm pretty picky on cappuccinos and this is one of the best I've had in awhile. I love the decor , it's the definition of hygge. Staff is friendly and I have nothing bad to say. There are outlets as well which is a plus. Come check it out on your stay in Dublin.

Lots of seating

This is such a great hidden gem on Meath street. I called in here during the week to check it out and try the sausage rolls I've heard so much about... they're the best sausage rolls I've had in Dublin! The coffee is delicious and the cafe is designed beautifully - there's a stove!!

My favourite cafe for the month. Lovely anterior, stylish staff and even customers who were there today were super trendy. Anyway, back to the main point, their coffee board looked really good. Thy make iced/ hot coffee. The cakes looked so good that i couldn't control myself and i had a Brazilian coconut cake with my coffee (espresso maciatto). My friend had iced latte and salted caramel cookie and both of us loved what we had. Plus, I really liked the food presentation each coffee placed with a cake on a wooden board (i know that's not creative but i still like it). I have to mention all the staff were very welcoming and friendly and the service was fast.

Holy. Shit. I rarely…read morecurse but finding this gluten free goldmine of glorious pancakes was like a blessing of the saints. The portion sizes kind of seem small but that could be because my girlfriend and I split everything and it was basically a couple of bites from each other's dishes. We got the blueberry lemon pancakes, and a meat dish for the needed protein, so one savory and one sweet, the way breakfast is meant to be worshipped and devoured simultaneously. Beautiful, small place that gets packed very quickly. Interestingly enough I thought it was a French bistro, but I believe the owners hail from Ukraine as that is the country flag that was hung outside the shape if my world history learnings are correct. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and would come back in a New York minute if I get the chance to visit Dublin again. As always people SYOY!!!

I do wish the bacon side had 2 slices but it only comes with 1. My husband had French crepes with blueberry supreme topping and an order of the potato fritters, which is its own meal. I had hot tea and he had a cappuccino. Be reminded that this is a European sized cup not a giant American size. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals so much so that I left no scraps on my plate. My husband didn't finish his fritters that have avocado on them bc he's not a fan of avocado. He forgot to ask that they be removed. His fault. Very nice young staff. I wish that we had discovered this restaurant sooner bc we would have eaten breakfast there again but we discovered it on our second to last day.

What I got: -Potato danish- savory; slight salty, crispy flakey layers. -Sausage roll- slightly salty for my preference, but has a very crispy crust and a meaty sausage in the middle. We went back a second time on our trip and got a few more pastries, all of which were very delicious. The pastries were hot, flakey, glistening, delicate, and perfectly sweet on both visits. I would definitely come back if I were to visit Dublin again.

I didn't wait more than 5/10 minutes. I grabbed a couple of different things for us to try -- the focaccia, morning bun, salted caramel roll, and the cinnamon roll. My favorite was easily the focaccia, which could compete with the best I had in Italy -- so good. The morning bun was good, but nothing crazy exciting. The salted caramel roll had to be the least caramel-y caramel roll I've ever had, but it didn't taste bad and the salted part was interesting (in a good way!). The Cinnamon roll was unique, which I appreciate. It had a big glob of cream cheese frosting (too much for me, but I imagine it would float a lot of folks' boats) and some orange flavoring! I quite liked the orange. I wanted to get a matcha to go, but they said they didn't have disposable cups. You could buy a 5 euro reusable one and then if you brought it back you'd get a refund... interesting, but I was leaving that day and wouldn't be back in the area. I can't speak to the ambiance because we were in and out, but it looked like they had a decent amount of space. All in all, I would recommend this place! For me it was a 4, but I'm sure for some it would bop up to a 5.

Sunken below street level it feels more off the main path and you have to keep your eyes out to find it easily. Walking in the place has a real chill and cozy vibe up front. I was seated right way and ordered off their all day menu. I got their Double Baked eggs, brown soda bread, bacon, sausage and roast tomato. For my tastes the double baked eggs were overdone, but that's double baked for you. Everything else was so delicious though that I truly didn't even notice. It was a wonderful pile of meat overflowing out of a little skillet with a stack of soda bread and butter. Truly it was a delight. I also ordered up their irish coffee. This was especially fun because it's not a simple shot of whiskey, coffee and cream. They create a brown sugar syrup blended with the whiskey to cook off the alcohol but retain the flavor. This means you can day drink and not even bat an eye at it being strange. The flavor was delicious and I'll be trying to recreate this at home for sure.
