We stopped in here based on a recommendation and what a cute little spot this is! The resturant was able to seat us as a larger group, but we still ordered from the front. The staff was all very friendly and helped with our waters and silverware. The fish itself didnt really wow me, but the chips were crispy and delicious! I wouldnt say the fish was bad, I just personally wouldnt go out of my way to return. There's a number of salads they have that come as a side to the entrees. We had the chicken pie and quiche which came with potatoes and side salads. The shop itself was very cute, family‑owned, and offered friendly, welcoming service. While the food was okay overall, it wasn't especially flavorful or memorable. We went to Rosie's for breakfast before hitting the road to Galway as it was walking distance from the hotel we were at. I ordered the scrambled eggs, and they were completely inedible. It was a runny mess with white liquid seeping over the plate. The texture was awful in addition to being really wet and it tasted like dry pancake mix had been added. A strange flavor. You had to order at the counter and no one ever came over to ask how the food was. I ate the toast on the plate and left the eggs. Staff wasn't very attentive when we walked in. Only 3 tables were being served which was less than half full but they asked us to take a seat and would come over to take our oder. We decided within 5 minutes what we wanted to order but instead of coming to take our order, the 3 staff behind counter were busy unpacking a shipment and chatting with each other. So we waited 3 more minutes but nobody came over still. So I went to the counter to order. Food was decent. Large portions but staff was inattentive and unfriendly. OMG! What an amazing little spot. Off the beaten path but near everything, this place was a joy. As soon as you walk in you're greeted and taken care of. It's a little tight, but it's a great cozy feeling. The staff was friendly and attentive and the food not only filled you stomach, but your soul. I got the full Irish breakfast and boy did it not disappoint. Everything tasted great and was cooked perfectly. The prices were reasonable for the great food we got. A nice little place close to Christ Church Cathedral. My wife and I came here for lunch after a tour of the church. A nice place but unfortunately very small. My hotel was right around the corner so I found this little place one morning and it was so good I went back again on my last day in Dublin before catching my flight. The first time I stopped in I had a mocha and the eggs benedict which was good, but a bit heavy on the hollandaise sauce for my liking... if you'd prefer a drizzle instead of a puddle of the sauce, make sure to ask. Went back for tuna, and its consistent but they still don't fill up the container properly. I'm giving an extra star this time because although I paid more for my drink than the tuna itself (2.95 for drink, 2.50 for tuna, I believe) the drink was out of this world! They're in the refridgerated section, called "O'Connelly & Sons" or something of that nature. I've only tried one but will be returning for another flavor for sure. If you love fresh juices without all that extra stuff in it, this stuff is 100% juice and tastes like it was just pressed minutes before. Try the Apple & Black Currant, it's to die for! :) read more

My boyfriend and I have been once before for breakfast and were not impressed the first time, so we decided to give it another try since it is really close by. But the second time was also a major disappointment. I never complain to shop owners unless I am really annoyed. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and eggs Benedict is my favorite breakfast of all time. I know benedict poached eggs should have very soft yolks but these eggs were so under-cooked I had to scrape away the clear egg whites because it was so off-putting until all I had left was a tiny bit of egg white and yolk, and waaaaay too much hollandaise sauce that did not taste like a good hollandaise sauce should, and was all I could taste anyway. Needless to say I couldn't finish my breakfast. My boyfriend ordered the omelette which was actually just a tiny piece of quiche warmed up. I think they should stick to their baked goods because they can't seem to do breakfast very well. Not worth the price tag even with the convenient location. read more

Their cofee is good but the egg benedict was really, really undercooked and the Spanish omelette wasn't so much an omelette as a cake type slice of scrambled egg pre cooked and reheated. There was also no sign of the promised stuffed peppers or green bean salad indicated on the menu. Instead I was served rocket and coleslaw. So, I recently went to Dublin for 8 days, and made it my mission to try a different Irish breakfast, every day I was there (I failed, on the second day, we didn't have time for a full breakfast before our "Paddywagon Tours" bus left, so we had to do McDonald's, and on our last day, I was gonna try the one at the airport, but arrived too late). Anyway, this was my first. We didn't get any sleep on the plane (left Massachusetts around 9 pm, arrived in Dublin around 8 am) , so our first mission was coffee. Rosie's had a delicious Cappuccino. About halfway through, I started to feel a bit less like a zombie, and my breakfast was ready (perfect timing!!). The black pudding and bangers were excellent! Rashers were average (which is OK, of all the things served with a Irish breakfast, rashers are the least exciting). No white pudding. Bummer. I don't do beans. We spent 3 full days in Dublin and ate here every day for breakfast or lunch. The food is all made from scratch and fresh. The eggs Benedict are the BEST! Their homemade soups are excellent (someone in our group had it every day and they were all delish). The soup and sambo combination is a great deal if you are really hungry. This restaurant was recommended to us by a local, so we really expected better when we stopped there for lunch. My husband really liked his soup, but that was the best part of our 2 meals. The small side of Cole slaw that came with his soup was basically large pieces of cabbage without much taste. I had the lasagna and I really didn't care for it. Even if it did not taste like the lasagna that I was used to, it would have been okay if I had liked it. I did like the bread that was served with it.
