First time here after picking up our rental car at Phoenix airport. We were hungry and Yelp lead us to this fun and interesting place. There is an extensive menu, so something for everyone. The three of us decided on a hamburger and we all enjoyed them. They were made fresh, hot, and juicy. The French fries were hot and crispy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place has crazy and fun posters and memorabilia on the walls.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was quick and friendly. You order at the counter and then pick up food when it's ready. The drinks are self serve. Many seem to stop here on the way out of the airport, as there are several foreign currencies to show off the different countries that have stopped there, placed at the counter. Very cool. Would definitely come back on the way to or from the Phoenix airport.

Great lunch spot! Service is on point. They are friendly, fast, AND ACCURATE! This is what generates repeat business... The food is very good, and there are SO MANY options. I have been here a lot over the years, and tried many things. And most recently, about a handful of times over the last 2 months, and it is consistently good. Reasonable prices, generous portions, fresh and flavorful food. I even took my bet friend here, who's a really picky eater, and she loved it. Told all my coworkers about it as well.

Haven't been to WTF in a couple of years but I took my granddaughter here last week and now she wants WTF every week. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I arrived for a takeaway order at 11:45 on a Sunday and there were only a couple of tables full, with a couple others waiting for takeaway.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered three byo burgers, three fries and a drink. It all came to $50.45. Not bad for three full meals. Our order came out in about 10 mins, still piping hot. WTF offers something for everyone and now they offer protein burgers that my wife can eat. WTF for the win!

First, let me say Marlen P who rang us up at the register was amazing, definitely welcoming, she had my mom and friends and I laughing. She was willing to explain the menu to those that never ate there before. WTF express give your girl a raise. It's rare when you come across someone like that. The food was amazing, definitely hit the spot and well worth the drive, would def come here again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is very clean and super spacious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had their poke bowls and fried fish with chips. You won't be disappointed.

WtfExp (or WTF Express) is one of the quirkier eateries in south Phoenix. It's popular with the weekday lunch crowd, and it's great for groups because it's got so many things on the menu: Middle Eastern food, cheesesteaks, poke, salads, burgers, sandwiches, wings and more. Now, with a menu this diverse, not everything is going to be great. I had a shrimp po'boy one time that was pretty disappointing. Fortunately, there are plenty of good choices on the menu. The Middle Eastern options are delicious and really affordable. The poke is great because the portions are generous and on the build-your-own-bowl, they don't nickel-and-dime you for every add-on. The wings are pretty solid, too. Overall, WtfExp is a reliable choice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And a bonus for history nerds: It's right next to two of the oldest standing buildings in Phoenix. The boarded-up river rock building near the street and the nicer house behind it date to the 19th century.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I love the concept of having several restaurants under one roof. The staff are friendly and patient. You place your order, select a seat, then wait until your number is called. I tried the Greek salad with falafel. The kool-aid looked tempting, but I passed. ... for another day. I ordered something different today, went way out of my comfort zone and ordered the Dirty Bird Mac n Cheese. I'm disappointed that I was eating a dry dish. I expected flavorful fried chicken on top of Macaroni AND Cheese.. not just macaroni. Did they forget to add the cheese??

This is a place with an enormous and eclectic menu. You can choose from burgers, hot dogs, Asian fusion, fry combinations, salads, and cheesesteaks. It is absolutely inane that this place refuses to serve cups of water like 99% of restaurants in America. Their beverage section even includes water but they just won't allow you to drink it apparently. They sell water bottles but the cashier said they ran out. However, once I started eating, I noticed there were water bottles to sell so apparently the cashier is too incompetent to know what water bottles are. There is a Yelp deal here for a free drink since the cashier refused to give me water. Instead, the cashier said they refuse to honor the Yelp check in deal. I asked if the name of their establishment was "WtfExp" and she said "yes" and then said that the restaurant on my app is not me despite it saying that it's verified by the owner. If the owner is reading this, I suggest hiring competent workers. I wouldn't bring any other deals/coupons here considering that the people here won't even honor them. I got myself a Mac Daddy Burger which is a burger with mac 'n cheese and bacon. The burger itself was of average quality; somewhat dry meat and lukewarm mac 'n cheese. This place has no air conditioning and they refuse to offer any sort of competent customer service. Definitely avoid this place at all costs.

I had a really disappointing experience at WTF Express today. We ordered online -- fish and chips and a Caesar wrap -- then I picked up my son from school and went to grab the food. While we were there, I added a cheeseburger and a slice of carrot cake that was clearly displayed behind the glass. When we got back on the freeway and closer to home, I realized the carrot cake was missing. I drove back (through traffic), not only because the cake was missing, but because my partner asked me to have the food remade since fish and shrimp don't stay fresh once they've sat. When I went back, the owner, Adam, was extremely dismissive and unhelpful. Instead of simply correcting the mistake, he insisted that because the carrot cake wasn't on the online receipt, he wouldn't do anything about it. He also claimed the carrot cake was "self-serve," even though it was clearly behind a case. No apology, no effort, no basic customer service. As a customer, the expectation is simple: if a mistake is made, make it right. Instead, he argued and refused to help, leaving us with cold food and no resolution. We will not be returning. Very disappointing experience, all due to how the situation was handled, especially by the owner.

You already know what I'm going to say so let's just get it out of the way. WTF??!! Our WTF and DTF (yes, that's the real name) burgers were hot and fresh and delicious but the French fries were freaking amazing! I don't know what they used for seasoning but I could have eaten a whole plate of fries and died happy. This was a great find on our travels and I would make another trip to Phoenix just for this! We snatched up a giant slab of carrot cake on our way out to share with the family and it was a hit! Moist and delicious and delicious. A++++ to WTF!

Tried WtfExp on Memorial Day on simply because we were searching places on Yelp. Just walking in the atmosphere is fun and welcoming I had fish and shrimp it was amazing. I highly recommend it. My daughter had the gyro and loved it. Then my lady brought it home with the Philly cheesesteak fries which everyone helped with. Overall the food, service, cleanliness was top notch. Most of all I will be back. read more

WTH is this place not a franchise. This is a well oiled machine. If you're on a diet and need a really good cheat meal this is definitely the spot. If you're hung over And need to fill a craving for the munchies this is the spot. I've been slowly working my way through the menu and have not had anything that was disappointed inside. The cheesecake is ginormous and so good. Do not judge until you try multiple things. Don't judge a book with reading one page. read more

We've been eating here awhile and most of our meals have exceeded expectations. First off, let's talk about seating. Seats are sturdy for big bodies like mine, and there are plenty of seating arrangements to give ample room for maneuvering. I generally come for the catfish, the falafel and shrimp and chips. For the price and the amount of food you receive, this is always a deal. Here, you order on one side of the restaurant, then wait and wait and wait for your tkt number to be called at the other end of the restaurant. Staff is always friendly, the salad bar always maintained, and you get a free drink if you check-in on your YELP app. Their menu is huge and makes me skeptical that they can do all this well. But like I mentioned, most of my meals have been spot on. I wish they installed monitors to watch football, if they did, I'd be here every Sunday read more

Very disappointed. Ordered a burger protein style online. Brought it back to the office and there was no cheese on it even though I ordered and paid for extra cheese. I asked for grilled onions and received raw onions. Not very good quality control on their to-go orders. Ended up being a waste. While this place is off the charts unique, one night think.... What is their main focus. It might when be a little deterrent. Well, I would first like to say that my first order there, which was a burger.... Was really good. My next visit, I ordered a poke bowl. That was delicious. My coworkers and I will continue you return and try something new. I really like the style of the restaurant and the staff welcomed is very well. I was a bit confused when I first showed up since it looks like 5 separate places based on the signs, but once I got inside it all made sense. The menu is very overwhelming, with so many amazing things to choose from, so make sure you are in the mood to cost. The burgers are pretty good, high quality meat and cheese, and topping bar has a ton to pick from. Now the cheese steak was amazing. Top quality beef and cheese, and the bread was so fresh and perfect. The large was gigantic, I could only eat half, but it was super good as a leftover. A funny thing is when you are eating you get to see all the people standing outside looking at the signs trying to figure out which door to go into for what did they want, even though they all lead to the same place! read more

I was first introduced to this restaurant by my work colleague. I was blown away by the selection they have to offer. I have eaten there multiple times... EVERY TIME has been a great experience. The food is always fresh, portions are HUGE and the staff are a lot of fun. I tell everyone that they have to go check this place out. Every time we have out of town visitors, they always ask where this place is located so they can go check it out. I am a regular. I visit the restaurant at least once a week, if not twice. First time here and my wife and I got the Philly cheese steak and it was extremely salty! Like crazy, my wife pushed thru and ate most of hers but I just couldn't do it. Exactly my point, she should've changed it out in the back and right away because leaving food in unsanitary places such as newe the sink can be a concern because it can get contaminated. She also only used one glove only when touching the ingredients to put in the poke bowl. She did not use gloves when she scooped the rice into my bowl. These are bad practices and since you refuse to address them and accuse me for thinking your food isn't fresh then I will not come back. I never said your food wasn't fresh I was referring to sanitary practice and possible contamination as well as temperature control. read more

A long grill sits behind the unassuming doors in this cafeteria style joint. The layout is wonderfully simple and the broiler and flaftop cooks are efficient and quick. The bread as far as their Phillys and their other sandwiches is soft yet sturdy, the portions are generous and a condiment table that is impressive sits next to a soda fountain as well. I have found the Holy Grail of Poke in AZ! This place is next level for sure! I have never, ever had a Poke bowl this delicious or this filling. The sauces are tasty and the fish tastes very fresh. This place destroys AHIPOKE. Definitely worth the trip. There's also other restaurants in this place that are equally delicious. Something for everyone. read more

Stopped in here the other day on the advice of a friend. Ordered the catfish. The owner asked how it compared to Southern catfish. I have to say it is a solid choice. Just as good as anything I have had from Arkansas or Georgia. The fries were outstanding. Super crunchy on the outside, light and flaky and moist on the inside just like a great fry should be. Something for everyone Its like a foodcourt, there is something for everyone. You can have the Wtf Burgers, a Philly, Fish & Chips, wings, or Gyro. On this visit I went with the Fish sandwich and fries. I had a choice between cod, catfish and tilapia. I went with the cod, served with home made Tartar and cocktail sauce. The fish was golden, crispy, and not greasy at all, it was very tasty. My sandwich was served with seasoned fries. I am not a fan of seasoned fries, but these fries were fresh, hot, and crispy. My lunch companion with a hamburger and fries and really enjoyed her meal. the restaurant was very clean and has a great selection of entrees, including a lineup of Kool-aid flavors. WtfExp is a great lunch spot to go by yourself or with a group of people because of the variety. read more

Wow. Just wow. This place is 2 minutes from my front door and due to extenuating circumstances (and how delicious and varied the wtfexp menu is) we have been eating there several times a week since we moved in. My favorite is the classic poke bowl but I also really love their gigantic fresh salads. The kufta plate, shawarma fries, build your own poke now, burgers and fries, fried shrimps and fish- all amazing. This place has absolutely saved us from fast food burnout during our emergency kitchen reno. Only once out of over 15 eating experiences has there been a mistake and it was minor. 2 out of over 35 meals is pretty good. Online ordering is a breeze!! Give them a few more minutes if you're ordering during the weekday lunch or dinner rush. I've been to this place before (prior to COVID-19), and it was pretty decent. There's a variety of food. HOWEVER, I went to visit today 8/11 because I was in the mood for it, and was disappointed to see the carelessness during a pandemic. The guy at the register did not have a face mask on, could've sworn it was mandated right now... I was still going to order, but then I noticed even the cooks and people handling food didn't have a mask on. Two customers walked in after me, and they didn't have a mask on either, ridiculous. Decent cheesesteak but be careful because our sandwich came with hardware (a screw.) We found a full size screw in the cheesesteak sandwich served. Staff could not give us an explanation of where it came from and the manager (Adam) did not seem concerned. Uber/Lyft would be my recommendation, but there is a paid parking garage down a couple of streets. We didn't need a reservation since we had a small party, but I would recommend if if you're coming with a party of four or more. We sat at the bar and ordered four dishes from different categories, which was a great way to sample the menu; though honestly I think we probably could have gotten away with just 3 dishes for a party of 2. We tried Yam Mamuang Boran (old-style green mango salad), Boo Pad Pong Garee (crab curry with ginger), Tom Yum Haeng Sen Yai (dry tom yum with wide noodles), and Naem Khao Tot (crispy rice salad with fermented pork sausage). The noodles and salad were definitely my favorite though everything was seasoned really well and incredibly flavorful. What I loved most was how thoughtfully prepared everything felt. I've never ever seen a restaurant do that before. Really not that bad but really not worth the $20-$40 price tags either. I'm open to coming back and trying other dishes. I really think I may have came on a bad night.

At the WTF Exp. Restaurant, the food is astounding. They have this amazing sweet juice burger that's melts right in my mouth. The bread was freshly baked, the meat was freshly butchered, and now they are just waiting for a mouth that can handle the intensity burger. Don't get me started on the shrimp and chips. And let's not forget the most important meal of the day; desserts. The sweetest thing that came across my mouth was them fried Oreos, with the side of hazelnut chocolate. All I had to do was to dip the fried Oreo into the hazelnut chocolate and set it in my mouth (magical moment). They have one of the most mouthwatering menu I have ever seen. The pricing of the place is not expensive, almost every meal is under 10 dollars. The classic WTF Burger cost right around 6 dollars, comparing to a dried-up burger from McDonalds cost 3 dollars, trust me the WTF Burger is worth the extra couple bucks. This place may not cost you and arm or leg but it will cost your weight to gain extra 20 pounds. They keep the price low by baking their own bread, making their own sauce so the consumer can eat fresh at a low price. The place looks amazing; they want people to feel comfortable eating here. They have a classic picture of the Kool Aid guy breaking through the wall, (nothing like a childhood memory). The word WTF is everywhere, people say it a foul language but I say it's the definition of the food they serve. They have television set up, so the people can watch the football game while enjoying their meal. The service is amazing; the staff are so nice and polite; you must see it for yourself. If you have any questions, or issue or anything they are more than welcome to help you. When I hear the word WTF EXP., I could only imagine something unique, something new, something that will knock my socks off. Thought this place was just a burger shop until I walked in the door.. boy was I confused! It's a bunch of restaurants in one and they serve burgers, phillys, fish shrimp and whole bunch of side dishes. Anyways I walked into the WtfBurgers door so I had to try them out and see what this was all about. I'm soo glad I did!! I tried a burger called the "The Break up" (kinda of a funny name) it came with grilled onions Provolone cheese and pastrami.. yes My burger had PASTRAMI on it and it was amazing! Plus I was able to go to the salad bar and add a bunch of toppings which was great! I will most definitely be back to try out everything else on the menu! This place is awesome! read more

WftExpress lives up to half its name; "what the fuck?" Pay $14 to wait 20 minutes for a Philly that nobody in the kitchen decided check the ticket to see if the order was right (If the ticket was even right). First time there I ask for no bell peppers add mushrooms, still had pepper. Second time there I ask for no bell pepper, add mushrooms, extra cheese- had bell pepper, no mushrooms. What the fuck? And what exactly is express about waiting in a half empty dining room for 20. You do know many of us only have one half-hour for lunch, right? Never going back. If you want a fun gimmick and excellent gourmet food, I highly recommend Chëba Hut. read more

For great food at a decent price, this place can't be beat! Any group with any level of diverse palates can go in and order something they want, and not settle for anything at all. Gyros, fish & chips, fried chicken, sushi, cheese steaks, burgers, salads, falafel, and the list goes on. My first visit was a couple months ago, and this is going to be my go-to choice when friends and/or family are looking for a bite. Try the Poke bowl for a cool take on sushi! Hmmm....28 minutes for a basic burger. No place to sit while waiting with the other standing folks. After I asked where my burger was (now 34 minutes into the wait), not a word. Took my receipt and told the cook to make mine right away. So....8 minutes later. Wow. Not even very busy here. First time last time. Now I've eaten the food and it wasn't even worth 5 minutes of my life. WTF is right! Not recommending this place. read more

Me and my brothers own the place. I just wanted the ratings to go up so I figured the least I could do was give us a 5 star review. By far the absolute best customer service i've ever personally had the experience of dealing with. The staff was so friendly that I ended up leaving with everyone who works there phone numbers. It was a pretty ridiculous experience. It felt like everyone was family. God bless them all. read more

This is my favorite place to go get lunch they have a menu so vast you can order vegetarian seafood do you feel like meat you can get the shawarma or gyro yum !everything I have ever ordered off the menu has been the bomb the atmosphere here is awesome the guys that work here is great and the Kool-Aid on tap just tops it all off if you've never been here you oh it to yourself to come here read more

We eat cheesesteaks all over town so we decided to try yours and unfortunately it was not good. We had the cheese up and the meat tasteless, the cheese was horrible and sparse and the the bun was average. No onions, peppers or taste for $9. You have to do better to get our business. Also the tables are jammed together and it makes for an uncomfortable meal. read more

I walked into this place thinking it was one restaurant only to figure out it was a food court. And they sold sushi. In a bowl. Which I was kind of spectacle about. But boy. Let me tell you. It was called a wtf bowl and truly. Wtf. It was nothing but deliciousness. The sauce is home made and to die for. Can't wait to go back and get the rest of the menu! read more

The name says it all WTF Exp is right. Have been to this location a handful of times and this last time will be the last. Not only was the place filthy but the staff was completely unprofessional and honestly health board should investigate. Wrong order - over charged due to employee neglect. Just a hot mess of Place to eat. read more

I've been going to Marylns on central for years now and I recently saw the new location on buckeye! This place is great has the best fish I've ever had. They have 3 types of fish cod , catfish and tilapia I ended up trying all 3 and I loved the cod the most. I will spread the word for sure! read more

Came in for poke, decided to get a burger too. Couldn't even finish it. 1/2 lb patties! That's insane! The widowmaker burger is a full pound! The jalapeños make it effin awesome! Definitely coming back read more
