    Chicken Gyro Bowl

Great lunch spot! Service is on point. They are friendly, fast, AND ACCURATE! This is what generates repeat business... The food is very good, and there are SO MANY options. I have been here a lot over the years, and tried many things. And most recently, about a handful of times over the last 2 months, and it is consistently good. Reasonable prices, generous portions, fresh and flavorful food. I even took my bet friend here, who's a really picky eater, and she loved it. Told all my coworkers about it as well.

First, let me say Marlen P who rang us up at the register was amazing, definitely welcoming, she had my mom and friends and I laughing. She was willing to explain the menu to those that never ate there before. WTF express give your girl a raise. It's rare when you come across someone like that. The food was amazing, definitely hit the spot and well worth the drive, would def come here again. Ambiance is very clean and super spacious. We had their poke bowls and fried fish with chips. You won't be disappointed.

WtfExp (or WTF Express) is one of the quirkier eateries in south Phoenix. It's popular with the weekday lunch crowd, and it's great for groups because it's got so many things on the menu: Middle Eastern food, cheesesteaks, poke, salads, burgers, sandwiches, wings and more. Now, with a menu this diverse, not everything is going to be great. I had a shrimp po'boy one time that was pretty disappointing. Fortunately, there are plenty of good choices on the menu. The Middle Eastern options are delicious and really affordable. The poke is great because the portions are generous and on the build-your-own-bowl, they don't nickel-and-dime you for every add-on. The wings are pretty solid, too. Overall, WtfExp is a reliable choice. And a bonus for history nerds: It's right next to two of the oldest standing buildings in Phoenix. The boarded-up river rock building near the street and the nicer house behind it date to the 19th century.

    Greek salad with falafel

I love the concept of having several restaurants under one roof. The staff are friendly and patient. You place your order, select a seat, then wait until your number is called. I tried the Greek salad with falafel. The kool-aid looked tempting, but I passed. ... for another day. The large dining area can accommodate parties as well as singles. Accessible parking and entrances.

I ordered something different today, went way out of my comfort zone and ordered the Dirty Bird Mac n Cheese. I'm disappointed that I was eating a dry dish. I expected flavorful fried chicken on top of Macaroni AND Cheese.. not just macaroni. Did they forget to add the cheese??

I had to air fry the fish and chips to even get a crisp after it sat in wet styrofoam for an hour

I had a really disappointing experience at WTF Express today. We ordered online -- fish and chips and a Caesar wrap -- then I picked up my son from school and went to grab the food. While we were there, I added a cheeseburger and a slice of carrot cake that was clearly displayed behind the glass. When we got back on the freeway and closer to home, I realized the carrot cake was missing. I drove back (through traffic), not only because the cake was missing, but because my partner asked me to have the food remade since fish and shrimp don't stay fresh once they've sat. When I went back, the owner, Adam, was extremely dismissive and unhelpful. Instead of simply correcting the mistake, he insisted that because the carrot cake wasn't on the online receipt, he wouldn't do anything about it. He also claimed the carrot cake was "self-serve," even though it was clearly behind a case. No apology, no effort, no basic customer service. As a customer, the expectation is simple: if a mistake is made, make it right. Instead, he argued and refused to help, leaving us with cold food and no resolution. We will not be returning. Very disappointing experience, all due to how the situation was handled, especially by the owner.

This is a place with an enormous and eclectic menu. You can choose from burgers, hot dogs, Asian fusion, fry combinations, salads, and cheesesteaks. It is absolutely inane that this place refuses to serve cups of water like 99% of restaurants in America. Their beverage section even includes water but they just won't allow you to drink it apparently. They sell water bottles but the cashier said they ran out. However, once I started eating, I noticed there were water bottles to sell so apparently the cashier is too incompetent to know what water bottles are. There is a Yelp deal here for a free drink since the cashier refused to give me water. Instead, the cashier said they refuse to honor the Yelp check in deal. I asked if the name of their establishment was "WtfExp" and she said "yes" and then said that the restaurant on my app is not me despite it saying that it's verified by the owner. If the owner is reading this, I suggest hiring competent workers. I wouldn't bring any other deals/coupons here considering that the people here won't even honor them. I got myself a Mac Daddy Burger which is a burger with mac 'n cheese and bacon. The burger itself was of average quality; somewhat dry meat and lukewarm mac 'n cheese. This place has no air conditioning and they refuse to offer any sort of competent customer service. Definitely avoid this place at all costs.

You already know what I'm going to say so let's just get it out of the way. WTF??!! Our WTF and DTF (yes, that's the real name) burgers were hot and fresh and delicious but the French fries were freaking amazing! I don't know what they used for seasoning but I could have eaten a whole plate of fries and died happy. This was a great find on our travels and I would make another trip to Phoenix just for this! We snatched up a giant slab of carrot cake on our way out to share with the family and it was a hit! Moist and delicious and delicious. A++++ to WTF!

Mini Chili Cheese Fries these were so delicious, this place was sooo good I want order everything on the menu!
    Chaye S.

These fries were so delicious, I really can't wait to go back and order something else. They have fried fish, poke bowls, monsters burgers, delicious fries. Can't wait to go back!

I ended up at Corleone's Cheesesteaks in Phoenix, AZ purely out of necessity and mild desperation…read more I was staying in the most random part of town, and for reasons I still don't understand, my hotel did not have a real restaurant. Well... it technically did, but it was a BBQ spot and I just wasn't in the mood. So, naturally, I turned to Yelp like the modern traveler I am. After scrolling through nearby options, nothing really spoke to me... except cheesesteaks. And once that idea entered my brain, there was no turning back. I immediately thought, "Heck yeah, I'm in." Keys were grabbed. Car was started. Mission accepted. When I arrived, I noticed it was a smaller shop, but that's usually a good sign. I walked in and was immediately distracted by the pizzas displayed in the window and the massive pizza oven in the back, very promising. Then I checked out the menu and locked in my order: a regular cheesesteak with Whiz, onions, and green peppers, plus a side of fries. Simple. Classic. Correct. The fries came out first, and let me tell you, hot, crispy, and exactly what fries should be. No soggy nonsense here. Then came the cheesesteak. I asked the manager for some pepperoncini's, and instead of just handing me a few, he pointed me to this full-on condiment bar. I'm talking pepperoncini's, pickles, and a whole lineup of extras. A choose-your-own-adventure, but for sandwiches. Loved it. The cheesesteak itself was really good, flavorful, satisfying, and hit the spot perfectly. Paired with those fries, it was exactly what I needed after a long day of travel and questionable hotel choices. I will say the service was not that great and not very friendly. I felt like I was imposing on them when I walked in to the time I left. Perhaps they were all having a "moment" that day. Bottom line: great cheesesteaks, excellent fries, and zero regrets. If you find yourself in the area and craving something hearty and comforting, Corleone's will not disappoint.

I highly recommend trying both, especially if you've never had a Chicago beef. The juicy beef paired with giardiniera is super savory. Damn! I'm craving it again. For lunch on our second visit, we ordered the Chief Beef special and a margherita pizza. This was, by far, the BEST margherita pizza ever! I think I've said that in another review... but for reals this time! The pizza was perfectly crispy on the bottom with just the right amount of basil to top off each bite. For dinner on our third visit, we ordered the clam linguine and an Italian beef sandwich. My husband says this clam linguine was better than the other versions he's eaten at Little Italy. The Italian sandwich was good, but not as savory as the Chicago beef. Can't wait to eat here, again, the next time we visit the Padres during spring training.

Cooked just right. Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Excellent, fresh flavor! As it is prepared to order, expect about a 15 minute wait time for the chicken... but WELL worth that wait, as it turned out. Fries and Onion Rings sides were PERFECT, and tastier than most. Interesting, varied menu, too! Very generous portions... and the chicken pieces were real, actual sized pieces of chicken... not like the canary-sized tidbits served up by today's fried chicken chain outlets! Although the seating area was VERY small (store front operation,) the facilities were bright, clean and well maintained. The staff was welcoming, patient and most helpful as we worked our way through their surprisingly large, and varied menu! Reasonably priced, too! Overall... a happy find... and now one of our go-to favorites! Just wish they had a LOT more locations closer (to us!) This place delivers big flavor in an unexpected package…read more On a recent trip to Phoenix from my home base in Chicago, I got a serious craving for fish and chips--something crispy, hot, and satisfying. After a quick internet search, I ended up at a place called Speedie's Fish & Chips on McDowell. Let me be real with you... when I pulled up, my first thought was: Am I in the right place? From the outside, it's giving more "corner vape shop meets convenience store" than seafood spot. But hey--hunger (and curiosity) won the day. I walked in and discovered exactly that: a vape store, a small market, and tucked off to the right, a humble little lunch counter. No frills -- just a guy behind the counter doing his thing. I ordered the Fish & Shrimp Daily Special ($11.99) and waited a few minutes. When the food hit the counter, WOW. Any skepticism I had about the surroundings vanished in a cloud of fryer steam and crispy golden goodness. The fish? Hot, flaky, and perfectly battered. The shrimp? Juicy with just the right crunch. The fries? Fresh, piping hot, and generously portioned. All of it was straight out of the fryer--no limp or lukewarm bites here. To top it off, they gave me four sauces--ketchup, cocktail, tartar, and ranch--which turned this into a choose-your-own-dipping-adventure. Each bite was better than the last. And guess what? The next day, I went back and ordered the exact same thing. No regrets. Bottom line: Speedie's is not about ambiance. It's not Instagram-worthy, and it might not even look like a restaurant. But if you're in Phoenix and craving solid fish and chips at a great price, don't let the exterior fool you. This place delivers big flavor in an unexpected package.
