This is truly a diamond in the rough - a good mechanic you can trust. Car repair is expensive. And the only thing that will cost you more than an incompetent mechanic is a dishonest one. Joe Reid has some 25-30 years of experience, AND he's a good man. I trust him completely. He's built his business entirely on word of mouth. I heard about him from a close friend, whose family has used Joe for 20 years. When Joe moved from Garland to Leonard, TX (East of McKinney!!!) - I made the 60 mile drive from Dallas to take my cars to him. That's how good he is. Sadly, now that I've moved to Austin, I need to find a mechanic like Joe. If anybody has a tip for me, please send a message and let me know! :) Joe's new info: JOE'S CAR CARE 488 N.W. Their customer service is truly top‑tier -- they kept me informed, explained everything clearly, and made a stressful situation feel so much easier. Everyone I interacted with was professional and genuinely caring. You can tell they take pride in their work and in treating people right. I'm so grateful for how they handled my car and how they treated me throughout the process. Highly recommend Provision Auto if you want honest service, great communication, and a team that actually cares about their customers.

HISTORY: Struggling with the management of the scheduling…read moreand management of commitment. IF my vehicle is going to be late, I need to make Plan B and C ways to ahead of a "late". Communication is key with managing my vehicle's mechanical issues. When you work 7-5, you have to create options for how to get to/from work/home. My vehicle was to be ready Tuesday by 1700. At 1700 I had to call and ask for a status. Yesterday (Tuesday) said it would be ready around 1000 today (Wednesday). It is 1330 now and no call. I am concerned with how well I can trust this place now. Now I'm worried about how well the work is. CURRENT: Owner and operator personally called and worked out my schedule concerns and literally setup delivery for my vehicle. Explained information that created the problem and shared their plan to avoid recurring schedule concerns. The behavior I experienced from Mr Trevor is more than I expected but appreciated greatly. Enough to extend my full trust in their work and future scheduling. The best experience in all my Yelp reviews... Thank you Provision Automotive!

There are not many honest mechanics out their today especially when you're a woman and Peeps Garage is a true God send! Honest, Fair, infomative and so much cheaper than going to a dealership! Derek was honest and very knowledgeable of the repairs needed to be done on my vehicle. My warranty Company wanted to put a bandaid on the repair or just simply total the vehicle and be done with it. I was extremely frustrated because I have only had the vehicle for 6 months and could not get rid of it! Derek advised me that he would have to turn down the job because he just did not work this way! He strongly felt his reputation as a mechanic was much more valued than to take on a job knowing I would have future problems with my vehicle. He stated he could not stand behind the suggested repairs of this Warranty Co and will not put himself out there as a crook to make a dollar. I respected his honesty and decided to have Peeps Garage fix my vehicle. Even though I am still having problems with my Warranty Co, my vehicle is repaired correctly and I no longer have to worry about breaking down. Thank You Derek

John Chak Automotive did amazing work on my older SUV (having lived on the West Coast…read morefor several decades, my '04 had no rust, so it was worth putting in the required repairs & maintenance). Initially, I had two other mechanics look at my car and one wanted $2,700 just for the AC/heat repair! Mine needed that and balljoints & arms replaced + few more issues so the total spent was $5K but was very fair and included a 24 month or 24K miles warranty on the work completed. JCA are the first mechanics I've ever dealt with that included in the diagnosis, mphotos of every issue + returned the old parts to me. As it turns out, the previous mechanic in another state didn't perform most of the work of which I paid over $2500; he hasn't returned my four phone calls and three email inquiries for copies of my invoices, most of which were paid by cash. . .things that make ya go "hmmmm".... Everybody at John Chak Automotive is professional, efficient and friendly. I dealt with Tyler the most - 5 Stars, too! - and they performed the needed repairs in a timely manner. I am somewhat reluctant to refer businesses to others, unless I am very confident those seeking referrals will have a similar good experience, and I am truly happy to refer JCA to anyone seeking a reliable, fair and professional service establishment that operates with integrity and courtesy - that is John Chak Automotive! Thank you all for getting me on the road again.
