    Chicken Tikka Kabob Wrap
    Mika L.

My friend and I came here during a time in which it didn't seem busy, around 1 pm. The service was quick. I ordered the chicken tikka fries and my friend ordered the chicken tikka wrap. The food came out fairly quickly, but still after these two people who ordered after us. I thought that was... interesting. We had ordered our food for to-go because we were going to take our leftovers home after. When I came back to get a second fork, the man who took our order reiterated that he thought it was to-go. Interesting. I mean, I get why he would say something if it were busy, but it was only us two and the other two people (who left a mess compared to us). The shop in itself is standard, pretty clean. Well, the portion was pretty okay. For 13 bucks, I got enough fries, but definitely could've done for more of the chicken tikka on them (the photo doesn't show how there's a small mountain of fries that remain untouched by any of the cheese or tikka). The ratio of chicken tikka/cheese to fries was definitely off. They were, as a whole, also a little too dry. The sauces they include on the side are a tamarind and yogurt/cilantro/something green type of sauce that didn't really compliment anything. My friend enjoyed her wrap, but she agreed that the fries could've done with more sauce. The seasonings were all good. Honestly, the food wasn't bad, but it wasn't reaching it's full potential. The service kind of confused me as well. It's a pretty okay spot. Nothing special. If I were to come back I would probably get a wrap and leave INSTANTLY.

Where to begin - this place is such a great bang for your buck! The owners are typically there and always very friendly and hospitable - looking to help and ensure you're satisfied with your meal. I've been here a few times for the chicken boti roll and it's consistently been fresh and hot when ready. The chicken boti roll isn't too spicy at all while managing to have a bold and flavorful taste. (Spice level is adjustable too!) Love coming here!!

This place just opened on Telegraph, and my friends and I were dying to try it. When you walk in, the menu is on the board, broken down into their breakfast, wraps, rolls, platters, and specialties. They have a small space for indoor seating, and you can see them cooking in the back. The customer service is amazing here! They immediately started explaining their menu and took the time to do the same for everyone else who walked in behind us. They explained that the wraps are tortillas like a burrito, the rolls are a more buttery, flaky wrap, and the platters come with a side of rice and salad. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Wrap and my friend ordered the Paneer Wrap, both freshly made to order! The chicken was perfectly spiced, and the wrap came with cucumbers, lettuce, and a yogurt + tamarind sauce. While the the wrap is bigger than the roll, I definitely want to come back to try that next time. The owners constantly came to check up on us to make sure the food was up to our standards. They even gave us a free sample of their Mango Lassi at the end :) Their grand opening is on Saturday, so you should definitely come check it out!

The food was perfect. I love it. We had malai roll and tikka roll. The owner was very polite.

Such a delicious halal paratha roll place! The food was so good, chicken perfectly spiced and fresh, the paratha was flaky and delicious. The spiced fries were also great! The price was super affordable and the people working are so kind! I'll be coming back often!

Amazing!!! Get their paratha ROLLS. Their parathas are soft and flaky and make the perfect wrap for their rolls. The owner is so sweet, he gave us masala fries to try for free and chatted with us about the menu and what new products they're going to come out with. I got their tofu tikka wrap (which is wrapped in a tortilla rather than a paratha) and it wasn't as good, highly recommend the rolls!! Chicken tikka in particular was a love amongst my family. Great place!

Stopped by yesterday after seeing a sign about a paratha roll and I'm so glad we did! Perfect for a quick stop. Food came out hot and fresh. I ordered the chicken tikka masala paratha roll. The paratha was crispy, light and airy. The chicken was so tender! The salad inside was crunchy and added the perfect texture to the meal. We also enjoyed the desi breakfast egg roll.. omg. Delicious. As our sides we had garlic + masala fries which were pretty good & a mango lassi that was amazing and refreshing. Loved the service, convenience and flavors. We will def be back. Some of the best chicken I've ever had! Super juicy and also extremely cheap; just 12 dollars for a full platter and 8 for a wrap.

Overall, would not recommend this place. I encountered very racist and bigoted treatment here…read more I placed an online order last night and went by for the pick up. When I approached the front counter, the lady present was very standoffish with me. I informed her of why I was there and she asked my name for the order. Upon giving her my name she then glared at me and literally asked me to recite my entire order lol! I showed her my online receipt in which she then insisted I still tell her my order. She brushed away my receipt and let another customer cut in front of me. Interestingly, the customer told her his name and she retrieved his order with no issue and was very friendly with him. To note, I was the only Black person present at that time. When I inquired as to why that customer wasn't asked to recite his entire order, she grinned and said that he's a "regular" and that I was "new." She went on to let a few other customers cut in front of me. I then asked for my money back in which she refused to return. Even when I asked for the manager, she said he was very busy. I made several requests for this resulting in her saying no and refusing to return my money. I then noted to her I'm calling the authorities in which I did. Furthermore, while servicing some of the other patrons, she would speak in another language with them while they looked at me and start laughing and staring me down. Eventually, the manager came out. He presented himself professionally and upon explaining what occurred he apologized and said it was unacceptable. He even offered me a drink with my meal and asked that I please accept the order instead and wanted to make things right. I took him at face value and said fine. While the situation was remedied, I definitely will not be returning to this restaurant. I researched some of the other reviews and came across several where other Black patrons have had similar racially motivated experiences here. That tells me there's a common practice of racism here. I refuse to support a business where this kind of behavior is tolerated. I have zero tolerance for bigots of any kind. Overall, the experience was a waste of my time and very dehumanizing. To hate someone you don't even know simply because of their skin pigmentation and ethnicity is irrational at best and bad for business especially in a place like Oakland where it's multicultural. My advice would be to not support this establishment. I especially advise any Black patrons not to come here as they clearly have issue with anyone who is simply Black, despite not knowing them as a person. Don't give your money, nor your valuable time, to hateful individuals who dehumanize others. All in all, this place gets a thumbs down.

I could have done with more garlic flavor. - paneer tikka masala had good flavor. It was still too sweet for my taste, but I think most people would enjoy it. - best mango lassi I've had. The perfect level of sweetness, and I will say most Indian restaurants sweeten their mango lassis WAY too much. - good service - big parking lot (not sure if it's Bevmo's, but we parked there anyway) Cons: - they were out of strawberry lassi :[ and another flavor too (I forget which). Either way, the only option was mango. - there are flies inside the restaurant and it's annoying to swat them out of the way throughout the meal.

I really like their lamb curry and garlic naan. I've also had their falafel wrap which was tasty, but naan by itself is elite. It's like as big as a plate placemat. HUGE. Nice establishment restaurant away from tenderloin side. Quran was playing and not music so thats a plus there. Menu was missing some usual stuff on there like haleem and nihari but luckily haleem was there today to order. Ordered haleem, 2 naans and 2 tikka legs. Waited and we got our food. First thing we noticed were the chicken legs were very small. No wonder 2 legs came in one order but compared to other restaursnts the legs were much smaller. They were marinated well though. Second thing which was a shocker was the naans. They were not the usual size, they were deep naans warmed up on a tawa like stove. The deep naans you can buy frozen from any desi grocery store for 2.49 for pack of 5, they are giving you a single naan piece here for $2 each. A restaurant should atleast have a tandoor to make naans with fresh. I understand this place used to be a foodtruck, deep naans would be fine there but at a restaurant with a kitchen- deep naans is highly disappointing to say the least. The haleem was heavy on black peoper and masala, and had more of a channe daal texture/taste than a haleem. Honestly $20 for haleem is a bit too much. Regular price is about $15-16 as well. Chai when asked was only masala chai no regular doodh patti one. Seating was ample and decor inside was good. Staff was friendly but food dissapointed. I hope they can improve, get bigger chicken leg quarter (try restaurant depot), for naans please get a tandoor and make them like regular traditional tandoori naans . And for haleem make it more haleem like and less daal like. Go check out pakwan as an example for naans and haleem
