Filet Fusion Taco
April K.

I went in on a Tuesday at 11:30 and they were fairly busy. We ordered at the counter.. The food came out in less than 5 minutes. I had the Filet Fusion Taco that had filet, cilantro, tomatoes, shredded cheese and spicy mayo (I held the onions.) They were really good, juicy and the spicy mayo had a little kick. The ambience was kind of cute with Asian decorations and games to play for the kids. The bathroom could have used some tidying up. Overall it was a good lunch!

Saw this place pop up on the map when i searched for Asian cuisine for lunch. I was surprised how busy it was when i came in at around noon so knew it had to be good. I didn't feel like studying the menu, so asked the cashier what he recommended. He said the symphony box was his favorite so that's what i ordered. The symphony box didn't disappoint! The chicken was probably some of the best i've had, and the egg rolls were also delicious. I ordered mine with fried rice which was tasty as well. The inside is set up so you pay/order, get a number, self seat yourself, and they bring your food out once it's ready. There's some cool arcade games along the left wall. Would definitely come back here again if i'm in the area to try something else! It seems really popular among the locals for as busy as it was when i stopped in for lunch on a weekday.

I did not know what to expect when going into Wrap & Roll since we randomly chose a place to eat without doing too much research into it, but it exceeded my expectations. When you first enter, you will notice that there is an ample amount of seating and there are gacha machines on the left side. You order at the front and they bring your food to your table. There is a large menu of items to choose from. We got the fusion bento box, chicken zoodle bowl, and ultimate zoodle bowl. Now, we were aware that the ultimate bowls would have large portions because our friend warned us about that, but we were not expecting the chicken zoodle bowl to also be the same size. The portions here were huge. We did not finish any of the items that we got and had to take everything to go and were able to eat it for another 1-2 meals. They were really generous with the amount of protein given and the flavors were good. The pricing was really worth it also.

My husband, oldest son and I decided to go to Wrap & Roll for a lunch. My oldest son attends college nearby and he recommended it. We drove up, parked and walked in. The restaurant atmosphere is fun. It has a row of claw machines on one side of the restaurant, a lot of seating and it's well lit. When we walked up to the counter to order we were greeted by a friendly and helpful man. He gave me time to look at the menu, answered my questions and then took our order. After ordering we paid, got a number, and then got to choose where we wanted to sit. We were also given a few coins to use at the claw machines. The claw machines were fun to play while we waited for our food. Once we went through our free coins we sat and waited. After awhile two friendly employees brought us our food. For my meal I ordered the Chicken Fried Rice, my husband ordered the Ribeye Fried Rice, and my son ordered the BBQ Pork Fried Rice. The fried rice comes with onions, cranberries, and scrambled egg. My son requested no onions and no cranberries. My husband also ordered some Veggie Egg Rolls for us to share. I tried all of the food. The Veggie Egg Rolls were good. They were crispy on the outside with a mix of veggies on the inside. My son's BBQ Pork Fried Rice was good. It had a lot of flavor despite not having any onions or cranberries and the pork was good. My husband's Ribeye Fried Rice was good as well. The Ribeye was good and the onions were large and flavorful. My Chicken Fried Rice was really good. I loved how tender the chicken was and the flavor was delicious. I think the chicken had some sort of a glaze on it. Whatever it was it was yummy. The onions were tasty and a good size. The only thing I couldn't taste or find in the fried rice was the cranberries. There was no sign of them. Despite that the Chicken Fried Rice was delicious. Overall it was a great lunchtime suggestion. The atmosphere was fun and the service was great as everyone was friendly. The portions were large, and the food was delicious

Tofu Burrito
Guadalupe R.

Cute place with friendly service. As a vegetarian, I was glad to have more than just one option. I settled on the tofu burrito. I took one bite and was hooked! So much so that I almost forgot to snap a pic. Order at the counter, find a seat, and wait for your delicious meal. Don't worry, the wait won't be long at all.

I only found this place about 2 months ago in Pearland and I then found the one off Bay Area recently. Since then I have eaten here at least 8 times! The prices are great The portions are stupid And the taste is wonderful Currently my favorite restaurant hands down! And lovely chatty people work here too!

Teriyaki Shrimp Rice Noodle

It was my first visit here, after a recommendation from someone. It's in a strip mall so parking wasn't an issue. You order at the counter. It might help to visit their website before coming so you can know what to order in case you're there first in line. They do have menus on the counter, although I wish it had pictures. It's a busy location on a Friday evening. There are large tables with lots of seating so you'll probably be sharing a table unless you have a large party. The food doesn't come out in order of arrival. Some tables that got here after us got some of their food before us and one person from our party was done eating before we got our food. I got the shrimp teriyaki with rice noodles. All the food I tasted like the filet mignon burrito and udon noodles were also good. I was impressed at the quality of the meat and shrimp. Overall the food was great but I wish they brought all the food at once or close together.

Ultimate Fried Rice

Extensive menu , huge portions, and great tasting food at a great price. Clean with plenty of seating and abundance of claw machines

Spicy Korean Chicken Fried Rice
Bruce F.

First time here and left pleased and satisfied. This is a fusion of Mexican and Asian cuisine. The portions are HUGE! You really should consider one order for 2 or more people. I ordered the spicy Korean chicken fried rice. The chicken was full of flavor and well seasoned. The fried rice was full of onions and scallions! I also ordered the spreegrolls: an eggroll wrapped in a spring roll (don't knock it till you've tried it). If you're in Houston you have to check this place out.

Very hearty and not too spicy. The broth is rich with a refreshing relish tang. My BF and I shared a bowl because there was no way I would've finished it on my own with everything else we ordered. Chicken Dumplings in Beef Soup - Seems to use the same broth as the Beef Noodle Soup. Not my personal favorite because the dumpling wrapper is a bit too thick, but it's a small miss considering how fond I already am of this place. Pan-Fried Pork Dumplings - How is this place making money? These things are massive and deliciously oily. There's a clean Maillard effect on the bottom that adds so much flavor. They also have an interesting fold--I've never seen dumplings shaped quite like this before. The pork flavor comes through strongly with the classic scallion combo. Steamed Bao Bun - Yaass, reliving my Chinese drama dreams. These weren't as sweet as the commercial ones, which I personally prefer. Still, I reckon this is how they tasted in those shows, so I'm stoked for the experience. Now, will I say this is the absolute best dumpling place in Houston? No--but there is something undeniably attractive about this place, and it is fundamentally delicious. It embodies one of the best versions of a classic mom-and-pop restaurant, serving homemade food that isn't perfect but reflects craftsmanship and care beyond the appeal of modern restaurants. My dumplings weren't wrapped with perfect precision, nor were they the pinnacle of healthy eating. They were just blatantly delicious--like when your mom cooks your favorite meal on a weekend night. That's why I would come back. This place represents the most authentic form of home and freedom in food. The downside of all the carbs I ate is that I had to volunteer at my local theatre afterward, and I was crashing haaaaaard while sending this place so much love.

They also have baos, frozen, and prepped, ready to go, great for lunch through the weekdays. I got an additional hot and sour soup that was ready at the counter- it was neither really all that spicy or sour but it was comfort food. Better fresh but pretty good to go.

The liangpi is the reason I come to this restaurant. The noodles have an amazing texture and it pairs perfectly with the bean sprouts, cucumber and cilantro. The sesame sauce brings everything together and it's amazingly refreshing and hearty at the same time. The pork leek dumplings have a delicious filling and the wrapper is very clearly handmade with a delicate chew. The pan fried buns were also quite yummy with a golden crispy bottom and fluffy exterior. My diagnosis: come here for the best liangpi and well made dumplings and buns

5 Stars - Authentic Szechuan that absolutely nails the classics…read more During our short trip to Houston, as a custom, we were determined to find real Szechuan food, and luckily we found Hu's Kitchen. The location is a bit unassuming, and parking is definitely tough (the spaces are very shallow), but the second we walked through the doors and smelled the Szechuan peppercorns, I knew we were in exactly the right place. I generally judge a Szechuan restaurant by their 夫妻肺片 (Fuqi Feipian)--which they cleverly name "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" on the menu. They completely nailed it. The beef, tripe, and tendon were incredibly cohesive together, yet you could tell each component was prepared and marinated in a slightly different way to perfectly highlight its specific texture. The chili oil was right on the spot. We went through a massive bowl of rice just eating this dish alone. Honestly, if I weren't feeding a family of four, I could have just ordered that and been perfectly happy. While the Fuqi Feipian proves their skill with dry dishes, the 水煮魚片 (Fish in Szechuan Hot Chili Oil) proves their skill with wet ones. It's another must-order. The execution was flawless--we didn't just finish the tender fish chunks, we ate every last piece of cabbage soaked in that incredible chili broth. For my two daughters who can't handle the heat, we ordered the fried rice, garlic pork ribs with onion, and the 紅燒獅子頭 (Giant Meatball with Cabbage). The giant meatball was spectacular. The kids completely devoured it on their own, but I managed to steal a bite, and it instantly brought back childhood memories of exactly how this dish is supposed to taste. We also had the Dan Dan Noodles, which were great and rounded out the meal perfectly. I loved all of the dishes we tried. Should we ever find ourselves in Houston again, we will absolutely be revisiting this hidden gem.

The wrappers were on the thicker side, which I personally enjoy, the filling was moist, and the sauce was packed with flavor. I also ordered the Beef Noodle Soup. The portion of noodles and beef was generous, but I thought the broth lacked depth and had far too much chili oil. Instead of providing a pleasant spice, the excess oil left a greasy coating in my throat that actually made me cough. The other dishes were less impressive. The Pork Bao tasted like they had been frozen and reheated, with slightly soggy, overcooked buns and a filling that lacked flavor. The Egg Rolls were also extremely small and had that same frozen, store-bought quality. Overall, the service was great and there were a few solid dishes, especially the chicken dumplings, but too many of the items tasted like frozen or pre-prepared food. I would come back for the dumplings, but I would probably skip most of the other dishes.
