The quality of food has changed quite a bit since the last time we were here. The low sodium soy sauce was very salty. The wasabi wasn't spicy at all no matter how much we used. I love this place. If you order the sashimi you get the best bang for your buck and it has always tasted fresh. I don't pay much attention to what rolls we order since it's for the table, but they've all been very good. I like their deep fried rolls as well. Definitely get their crab puffs I LOVE them. If you feel like you couldn't possibly eat any more, get dessert. It's worth it. They have tablets to place orders from so you don't have to wait for your server, which is a huge plus. I have been trying this restaurant many times whenever I want AYCE sushi. The store is clean and has plenty of table. However, it can be very crowded and noisy sometimes. About the food, they have many options to choose, from raw to cooked, from sushi to noodles. I highly recommended trying their grilled eels. Their nigiri has a good ratio between protein and rice, so you don't have to worry about getting full with rice. The baked mussels are good too. With the number of servers delivering trays of sushi, other Japanese cuisine, and drinks you're never waiting long to be served. The all-you-can-eat dine-in option is $30 per person - not bad for the number of dishes they have available for you to eat. I love how your food is served at your table, unlike typical all-you-can-eat places where you have to get up and serve yourself from a buffet. It's not like that. Your food is brought to you. Just use the kiosk on your table and place an order for any dish you want and it's brought right to you. If you don't want the all-you-can-eat option they do offer a three-course meal for $20. They do not take reservations for all-you-can-eat on the weekends so you may have a little wait time. If you come with an appetite you will be satisfied. A few of my favorite dishes to order are the fried salmon skin. It was a new item on the menu so not sure if it's here to stay. I also get as a staple the seaweed salad and miso soup. Be careful when you are with a large group and making your selections because you can double and triple order a dish and not even know it. I also ordered the delicious cucumber wrap. This is such a great AYCE sushi place in the Clear Lake area. It is great to not have to drive to another area of Houston to get sushi. I would like to point out the obvious with it being an AYCE is that you cannot expect to get a high quality of raw fish, but with the selection and the price point, it is great. Usually sushi can be expensive if you just order it by itself but when you do the AYCE you get your moneys worth for sure. I'm not sure if there's another AYCE sushi establishment in Webster, and I haven't felt the need to check just yet. I get my money's worth every time. In all honesty, I don't pay enough attention regarding which rolls I like best here since I'm so hungry (in preparation of dinner, I usually eat little to nothing during the day). However, here are several items that I remember eating: Miso soup - I like to start my feast with this, along with the spicy garlic edamame. The soup is lightly salted and prepares you for what's coming next. Both the soup and edamame are decent as it's hard to mess up. Steak Hibachi - an AYCE sushi restaurant has no business making steak this good. It's probably my favorite item to get, and I order it 2-3x every time I come here. Very juicy and flavorful. Spicy tuna roll - out of all the rolls I ordered, this one brought out the umami taste the most. Combined with the spicy mayo, these fly off the plate fastest for me. I don't find it spicy at all, but I suppose I'm not the best person to ask since I have a high tolerance. Some pitfalls at my recent visit 2 days ago: 1) The water tasted dirty. It was noticeable enough that my entire group tried to drink the water as little as possible. One of them asked for a club soda hoping it would solve the problem, but that also tasted dirty. This is the first time I've had this issue but it was significant enough that if it happens again, I'll need to give another AYCE sushi place a try. 2) The waitress did not come by often enough. We waited around 5 minutes after finishing each round before we could order again. Keep in mind that there's an 18% automatic gratuity added to parties of 6+. I have mixed feelings about that, but at least it's clearly mentioned in your final receipt. Still possible to miss though (as some of my friends almost did), so make sure to remind your group about it. Solid place with lots of options, including ones that are not sushi related. I wouldn't order the fried rice again, and would likely just stick to ordering sushi and edamame next time, but everything is delicious and comes out pretty fast. I've been to Ohayo Sushi a few times now, and my past experiences have generally been solid. The sushi is decent -- not amazing, but reliably satisfying. The one bright spot was our waitress. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and repeatedly went back to the kitchen to check on our food. Honestly, she seemed just as frustrated as we were and really did her best to advocate for us. I don't know what was going on in the kitchen that night, but the experience was aggravating and disappointing -- especially at a $30+ dinner price point. If you do choose to dine here and encounter delays, make sure to speak up and ask your server to follow up with the kitchen -- otherwise, you might find yourself stuck for hours like we were. Bottom line: Ohayo Sushi can be a decent choice, especially for lunch or when it's running smoothly. But based on this experience, I'm hesitant to return anytime soon for dinner. read more

In a short few years time, they've become one of the most popular businesses in the Webster / Clear Lake area and have a decent sized crowd almost every night. Most establishments that offer AYCE sushi are usually a little smaller, but not Ohayo. They have a bustling staff, a number of tables both large and small, and have as much ample parking as they have seats. Their peak hours are usually accompanied by a wait, especially with large parties. If you want to save time by inserting your name ahead of time, jump on the Yelp app and reserve a slot with Yelp Waitlist (#1). The prices are $20 for lunch and $30 for dinner. There is enough variety on their menu to appease all palates. The selection of cooked foods is fairly impressive but the fish is really where it's at. It should be noted that sashimi is not offered during lunch but the dinner menu is available all day. I think the food quality is going to be consistent with a lot of places that offer this unlimited sushi. It's probably somewhere in the middle but I think their fish might be a tinge higher quality, which isn't saying much. The salmon and yellowtail meat is acceptable, though not exceptional and I really appreciate the rolls for not being overly filled with rice. Like any place, I think the vibe and customer service go a long way. Sometimes the staff is a little slow on the orders, but generally they do a good job. No one should come in here with high expectations. Instead, order a few colorful rolls, bring an appetite and several hungry friends, and embrace the chaos of copious amounts of food on a table at once. The servers are also very friendly and organized, especially when we asked for multiple large individual orders!! There was not a wait time on Friday around 5pm, but if you go Saturday for lunch, expect to wait long, especially for large parties. I once had to wait an hour for 4 people on Saturday afternoon.
