Went on a Fri eve, not our first visit. Place was poppin'. Music was a bit loud for my taste but it was Friday night so I get it. By the time we left there was no empty tables! Nice happy hour menu of food and drinks until close. All my food was off that menu: calamari, cheese puffs and spicy edamame. Brother had chicken fried rice and side of teriyaki beef off main menu. Im a huge fan of the spicy edamame...best anywhere!

Very much enjoyed the food at this location. Their items were are all fresh and large portions. Great service, and a mellow ambiance that is nice/casual, did see a couple of families here....

I ordered the Cricket- snow crab | shrimp tempura | kani | asparagus | avocado | tempura flake | sesame seed | honey cream- This was my favorite between the two. Honolulu Roll - spicy shrimp | salmon | snapper | spicy kani | avocado | cucumber | crunch | honey wasabi cream with the Pineapple Slush Cocktail - that I didn't like. It was surprisingly sour.

Came here for sushi happy hour lunch with a friend. Service was great and staff was very nice and welcoming. However, I've had better sushi from across the freeway. It was just decent and didn't taste that fresh. Only plus side is that it was half off from a happy hour.

This is my first time at Masa Sushi and I had a great experience overall. There is a lot of variety on the menu, especially the rolls which I was very happy about. We ordered the Cricket Roll, the Honolulu Roll, and the Sky Diver Roll which all tasted delicious. I recommend this sushi restaurant to everyone. People say it's the best in the League City area which I can definitely see why.

Admittedly, my review of this place would have an additional star were it not for the employee who was homesteading the men's restroom. We've been here a few times. Atmosphere and service are fine ... until you want to go wash your hands. Over a period of 15 minutes I returned to the men's restroom three times only to find approach a locked door. I'm not sure that the (employee) was reading or doing something else, but damn. Really, man? The sushi here has been good on our visits. Freshly made. Nicely presented. I made the mistake of ordering a side of fried vegetable rice, and it was gummy ... not worth a flip. Still, we'll be back, because the sushi and service are better than most in the area. Just bring your own towelettes.

November 15th...met for early dinner. Everything we ordered was (as usual) delicious. The only new thing I tried was tuna tartar which was excellent. ---------------- September 27, 2019 met a friend for an early dinner. Again, delicious food. Had the Honolulu roll, cheese puffs, dumplings, sake bombs...pink sake martini...went all out...even got to , to go order to take home. Living large! Everything was fantastic. Masa! You have out done yourselves with updating your menu and adding delicious new items! We started with the Tuna tartare! It did not disappoint! Chips were airy, crispy and crunchy! Then had a new menu item, Tochi (torched) Black Pepper Sashimi and it was something else! Definitely recommend! Next had one of the best rolls, Chameleon Roll and it is *chefs kiss* ended the night with the Masa Crunch roll! My only complaint is that Masa steps up their wine game!

The bar service was "ok" on a slow lunch day, but she was friendly enough. Wasn't a huge fan of the Spicy Edamame - it wasn't that spicy and it's sauteed in oil - unexpexted. The Deezy roll with Ponzu sauce was delicious as were the pieces of Hamachi (yellowtail) and Maguro (tuna). Also tried the Astro roll (crawfish), which was good if you like tempura rolls. It was pretty pricy so expect that.

Yes my eyes are bigger than my stomach but i am so glad they are!!! Wow these slices are the thickest pieces I have ever gotten at ANY sushi place and they taste fresh! How does one know if it's fresh? No fishy taste. Lunch special comes with spicy tuna rolls which were unfortunately too spicy for me. My server graciously replaced them with California rolls. Stop on by and enjoy the variety and freshness.

Vincent (manager) gave us a sample of this amazing cold sake. They have specials on beer and sake on Tuesdays!

Though the meat in there wasn't as tender as I would've liked it and the eggs were more of a hard boil than a soft boil, the actual flavor of the broth and the texture of the noodles were really good. I came in on a Wednesday night around an hour prior to closing time, so the waitress was fast in taking our orders, though at times I did feel rushed and felt like they just wanted us out of the restaurant (which is reasonable, but I still felt rushed to eat and pay). This restaurant is featured on the BAHFL card (a card meant to encourage users to try out restaurants and get discounts for their meals), but whenever I asked, she questioned what I was saying and I ended up just paying as is without the card discount. Other than what I previously mentioned, though, this place is still good and is definitely worth trying out, though just not during later hours.

I feel like it leans a bit too much on the chili oil taste and struggles to stand on its own as a dish. I enjoyed the cucumber here, since it helps balance the overwhelming flavor, but I do wish there was more and it was cut into thinner pieces. Thai Style Chicken - 5/5 - Always has been my favorite dish here. The chicken is flavorful but not overwhelming. The lettuce helps balance the dish. The peppers add a strong kick if you're feeling spicy. The sauce is perfectly salty whilst not powering over the other elements. No complaints. Birria Ramen - 4.5/5 - Definitely not the choice if you want ramen, and thankfully I was not really craving ramen on this visit. For the standards of this dish, this is a perfectly good example of this dish. The broth is rich and extremely, almost to a fault, flavorful. The ingredients are not natural for a ramen, but they all somehow come together well. Not everyone's cup of tea, for sure, but it definitely was mine this time.

We were not the first customers and a nice crowd gathered by the time we left around Noon. It's clear Fuji Ramen has a good reputation and it is well deserved. The place is decent sized and has a nice vibe. We were greeted when we walked in the door and our server quickly stopped by to get our drink order. She told us to take our time with the menu. Mark had a question when she returned with our drinks. Her guidance was informative. We ordered Gyoza to start. Mark ordered Spicy Miso Tonkotsu and I got Black Garlic Tonkotsu. The Gyoza was typical and delicious. Mark couldn't stop gushing about the Spicy Miso Tonkotsu. In addition to the broth, the pork and egg were standouts. It was so good he had to pick up the bowl and ensure he got every drop. I was equally enamored with the Black Garlic Tonkotsu. The noodles were done to perfection. The broth was slightly thick and delicious. I agreed with Mark that the pork and egg offered explosions of flavor. We would definitely be regulars at Fuji Ramen if only we lived nearby. Because we have family here, Fuji Ramen will always be on our list any time we visit.

We were initially told the wait would be about 20 minutes, but it ended up being closer to an hour. Once we were finally seated, ordering through the iPad was simple and convenient. The sashimi and hibachi dishes arrived quickly, while the specialty rolls and fried items took considerably longer because of how busy the restaurant was. To get the most value out of an all-you-can-eat experience, I usually focus on ordering sashimi. My favorites were the salmon, yellowtail, and eel, all of which were fresh and enjoyable. The spicy scallop sushi was the standout of the entire meal and easily my favorite bite of the night. We ordered a wide variety of dishes, and that was the one I kept going back to. The steak hibachi was solid, with well-seasoned meat and generous portions. The fried oysters and crab rangoons were both crispy and cooked well without feeling overly greasy. The specialty rolls were good too. While none of them particularly stood out, they were all enjoyable and well made. Overall, there was not a single dish that I disliked. Even with the much longer-than-expected wait, the quality and variety of the food made for a satisfying all-you-can-eat experience. If you plan on visiting during peak dinner hours, I would recommend expecting a wait, but once you're seated, there are plenty of options to make the meal worthwhile.

The eggplant dish mentioned is very rich and flavorful, with the eggplant cooked to be soft and almost mushy (but in a good way), nicely complimented by particularly the beef. Their lo mein is a little watery on various occasions, but still maintains a great and very nice flavor. Their fried rice is one of my favorites in the area and is always very well made no matter the time of day. The fried chicken wings, crab puffs, and crab bomber appetizers are both just such standouts in what is often an overlooked part of the menu by many restaurants. I have nothing but praise about how this place handles food. The staff is all really nice and welcoming from entrance to walking out the door. They are very good with order additions or food/allergy restrictions and the dishes always come out in a timely (but not rushed) manner, no matter whether it is a weekday morning or a busy dinner crowd. I'd recommend the lunch special for anyone coming around that time, as the deal of egg rolls, soup, and an entree or 2-3 sushi rolls for a low price is a steal. The ambiance nice for sure and the tables are clean, though I do sometimes get disoriented by the wallpaper they use (I think it's just me though). Whenever this place first opened, I was very disappointed in the restaurant. Meals were salt with a side of meat and rice and was just overall underwhelming. But now, it is one of my family's go to places whenever we need quality food in a short distance. Definitely worth a try, even over other restaurants in the area that serve a similar menu.

Not at all mad about the gigantic, juicy, crunchy pieces of karaage or the reheated and dressed takoyaki (yes, wisdom teaches you things, and there's no way a restaurant can reproduce takoyaki [from scratch] that perfectly when they cant even maintain quality on their staple), but as happy as I am with the chicken, I will make the suggestion to bring back the spicy mayo and to keep the lemons on the plate. Although my partner didn't show it and said it was fine, it was obvious she was disappointed that she didn't receive a Demon Slayer soup spoon from ordering the monthly special since they were out of stock (waiter says there is no guarantee the spoons will restock). The promotion is set to end sometime in February, but I might take another long break from Jinya, again. I got the tried and true Jinya tonkotsu black, which was served with chewy (yes, chewy) pieces of pork chashu. I also noticed the wife only ate her toppings from her chicken yatai ramen and offered to trade her since I was mostly happy with mine. Wow, the monthly special, chicken yatai was super bland. I voiced my complaints about the yatai that was barely eaten and that the chashu was not rendered enough. He said he would let the manager know, who offered a complimentary ice cream mochi (ok, these werent bad). Ambiance: casual, loud with my type of music (pops, edm). The hard truth: not a place I could recommend to friends at this moment. Glad the owner is doing so well in this area and would highly recommend sister restaurants, but there's a glaring need for quality control here and maybe a bit more accountability is needed. Looks like I have some old pictures still uploaded, so I'll just go ahead and leave them in the post, but just take my word that the tonkotsu black still looks the same and the chicken and takoyaki are indeed as pretty as they are scrumptious.
