Roy B.

Nice buffet with sushi and a hibachi grill to boot. All the food was very good. Still a great place and reasonably priced.

She enjoyed the Sushi and we aren't sick today.

I told the lady, our daughter was 10. She said that she's too tall to count as a kid. They go by height and age.... Not cool...

Was visiting Galveston since I haven't been in a couple years and my group was craving some boba…read more I remembered that they had this place from when I went to school on the island so decided to go try it out again! The store does have a lot of parking so you wouldn't have to worry and plenty of tables. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is that we waited 40+ minutes for our boba. To be fair, they said that the boba would take 10 minutes, but we didn't know that it would take way longer. They did apologize for taking a long time, so that was nice! Next time I come, I'll try some food, but yeah, was definitely a longer wait than we are use to for drinks.

This isn't Houston not even Chinatown, but it's bringing Poke Japanese food to the area. They do a pretty darn good job at it too. Upon walking in, I was surprised by how bright, inviting, and clean the restaurant was. Two big giant menus; one displaying savory and another sweet. The staff were very nice and provided good recommendations. I ordered the frozen matcha smoothie with oat milk, donburi with tofu and pickled vegetables. The taste of the food was fresh, I wasn't a big fan of the texture of the tofu. That threw me for a loop. They used sushi rice for the base and the broccoli was okay, a bit bland for my liking. Their special sauce was very tasty. Need to bottle that up and sell it! The pickled veggies were crisp and with well with the rice. Slightly sweet then acidic. The matcha freeze was indeed creamy from the oat milk. They have vegan milk options: oat and almond. The matcha was sweet, but nothing over the top. Matcha boba was chewy and unheard of. Clean restroom and plenty of seating areas outside the restrooms. On the television, they play Netflix cooking shows which is nice if you're into that like me. Great choice!!

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5…read moreAmbiance: 5/5 Food- There's nothing to complain about this place almost ever. Here's the dishes I had on my most recent visit: 1. Volcano Roll: Still amazing, great flavors and creative plating. I wish this place served raw fish, but their cooked rolls still give a great experience. 2. Spicy Chicken Wings: A little overbearing on the saltiness, but still delivered a great level of level that did not disappoint. 3. Sapporo Ebi Ramen: First time getting this, and despite me not really being a shrimp person, I still REALLY enjoyed this bowl, and their marinated egg is cooked to perfection. Service/Ambiance- Despite being a busy weekend lunch, we still had a great and fast experience eating here. No complaints. This place is great at everything that it strives to achieve. Great food, great staff, great atmosphere, our family left happy with our tummies filled.

We were not the first customers and a nice crowd gathered by the time we left around Noon. It's clear Fuji Ramen has a good reputation and it is well deserved. The place is decent sized and has a nice vibe. We were greeted when we walked in the door and our server quickly stopped by to get our drink order. She told us to take our time with the menu. Mark had a question when she returned with our drinks. Her guidance was informative. We ordered Gyoza to start. Mark ordered Spicy Miso Tonkotsu and I got Black Garlic Tonkotsu. The Gyoza was typical and delicious. Mark couldn't stop gushing about the Spicy Miso Tonkotsu. In addition to the broth, the pork and egg were standouts. It was so good he had to pick up the bowl and ensure he got every drop. I was equally enamored with the Black Garlic Tonkotsu. The noodles were done to perfection. The broth was slightly thick and delicious. I agreed with Mark that the pork and egg offered explosions of flavor. We would definitely be regulars at Fuji Ramen if only we lived nearby. Because we have family here, Fuji Ramen will always be on our list any time we visit.

Our standard order: Warm Sake, Crab Puffs, Philadelphia Roll, a Spider-Man, and a Shaggy Dog. All-stars, seriously can't go wrong. It's always great to catch up with Michelle and the staff, also all-stars! Jave is always personable and always takes great care of us. And busy for a Thursday? Always a good sign! :) Also, be sure to save room for boba tea & sweets and hit up Vegie (FS alumni) at Dream Tea next door! Support your local businesses!

***Tip-Shaming Alert***…read more This could easily be a four-star review for my pick-up order were it not for the quasi tip-shaming at the counter and the mediocre egg roll that had obviously sat in a warmer much longer than it needed to. First, the food here is delicious (for the most part); the employees are kind; and this place is as clean as it can be. The hot & sour soup here is among the best in the area. It has a little zing and plenty of velvety egg strands. It's fun and flavorful. The steamed dumplings tasted like they were made with TLC, unlike the afterthought versions at so many other joints these days. The chicken fried rice, which I did not sample, received rave reviews from the family. The General Tso's Shrimp was absolutely divine! Plump shrimp encased in a light batter, with a wonderfully piquant sauce. The egg rolls, however, were a total miss. Check out my photo, and you'll see one egg roll that's as flat as an envelope, while the other is round. Though you cannot see in the photos, there were also indentions on the (flat) egg roll from a warmer rack. In addition to it being flat, it was stale. The other egg roll was fine, albeit mediocre and not worth a future order. Why would someone in the kitchen think that it's OK to keep something in a warmer for hours and serve it to a customer? Finally, the internet wasn't properly working when I picked up my order, so they had to bring a dude from the back to crank everything up again. My order was $40 and change, and he looked at me and asked me what tip I would like to add. My answer? "No tip!" I'm sure they weren't happy, but I couldn't care less. -- I placed an order over the phone, drove to the restaurant, waited at the counter while they worked out their internet issues .... and then arrived home to realize that I paid for an egg roll that would've been fresher at 7-11. And they want a tip? Seriously? As I've mentioned in previous reviews, a gratuity is a gratuity. If you ask for it, you won't get it. If you work the counter and basically hand me a bag, you probably won't get it. And if you put me on the spot at the counter, not only will I say "no tip," but I will also let the world know that they will be guilted into paying for something that the business itself should be taking care of. Rant over. By all means, patronize this place. The food is delicious. Just don't let them serve you an old egg roll or guilt you into paying the salaries that they should be paying.
