Sushi & shashimi lunch plate
Courtney Ann R.

The service at eco was absolutely amazing! Our server was very attentive and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The sushi was so good and fresh and at a great price for lunch! The restaurant was very clean and decorated very nicely! I've been here before and I will absolutely be back thank you for the service!!!

Kids Hibachi Chicken
Jazmine S.

I have been ordering from here for the past few years whenever I'm in the mood for hibachi or sushi. When I get hibachi, I usually get a kids meal because it is a decent amount of food and a little less pricey than the regular hibachi. This time, I ordered the hibachi chicken which comes with fried rice and mixed vegetables. On my order, I had a few special instructions which were to substitute the fried rice for steamed rice and no onions in the mixed vegetables. When I received my order I saw that those special instructions weren't followed and I actually had more onions than any other vegetable, which was very irritating. I thought that since I ordered online that maybe they weren't able to see my request but it was on the receipt so it seems like someone just ignored it. As for the taste of the food, it was okay. The chicken and vegetables were both swimming in liquid. I may not order from here again, or atleast not for awhile.

Vegetable Fried Rice...spicy.

I'm getting a handle on which Sushi rolls I like & do not like. So there's def a couple I like...for instance, I tried this Shaggy Dog @Sam's and it was REALLY good, so figured I'd try here & I also grabbed some veggie rice. So the rice was mushy and I could only take a couple of bites...the good thing is there were a lot of veggies without having to ask & it had nice heat (requested spicy). I've eaten rice here a few times and it has always been good, so I'll go easy. The roll was very good & tasted fresh...they were pretty nice sized & quite filling.

My big brother recommended Edo Japan, to me and a friend of ours. On the outside, it looks like a hole in the wall restaurant. but Edo Japan is nothing like that. Inside, it's very fancy, and has lovely Asian décor. The staff are wonderful, the place is very clean and pristine in detail. You can invite a whole party here, there's plenty of space. Every menu item is freshly cooked, with fresh ingredients. Their sushi menu is immense! My big brother and his wife are sushi fanatics, I'm sure they'd devour the whole sushi menu, if they could! Edo Japan has the BEST veggie fried rice I've ever had! Their Chicken Katsu is amazing! You can get a bento box made, but you can only choose what protein you want, the rest of the side dishes comes as is. Don't try their miso soup, it's gross! Edo Japan's prices are decent. I want to come back here and try more dishes, maybe a bento!

This place is really good for just casual California roll or something like a tnt roll which is really good and isn't that spicy there is always good quick service not always packed but I have gotten some food poisoning before and missed a cba test so it was perfect timing

Great food & customer service! They have a nice selection of sushi Great for a lunch outing !

Fried Calamari

The food was AMAZING and really nice sized portions. I got calamari, the California roll, shaggy dog, and I think the spicy tuna. Everything came out super quickly but didn't disappoint. Our server was super nice and got right to the point. The building is well decorated, and everything is reasonably priced.

Update 4/15/18 We gave this place another try. This time, we were acknowledged and seated right away. The manager gave my boys animal balloons to play with. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. They offered free bowl of edamame (after 4:30pm) Ordered some Gyoza which was good. The hibachi chicken and steak was good. The chicken fried rice was ok but rice was on the mushy side. Had some California roll but it wasn't really good. Not sure if I'll go back. Fail! Got seated and waited in what seems to be forever. Nobody took our drink orders or food orders. But lo and behold someone comes in and they get served right away. Wouldn't know what the food/drink is like because we left.

The service and the special rolls are great. They take great care with their takeout orders as well. Sucks that they don't have a full bar.

Food is always good. The fried rice is bland with not many veggies. However the prices are reasonable.

I came for lunch on a Saturday and it was super busy so the service was a bit slow. It took a while for our water and for our server to come and take our order. I ordered the Lunch Special Nigiri Sushi and Noodle Set and got 6 pieces of salmon nigiri with udon noodle soup. The salmon nigiri was fresh and buttery and so delicious! The serving size of the udon was a lot bigger than I anticipated so I feel like I got my money's worth. I definitely recommend coming for the lunch specials since they're good value.

After being seated, I informed the waiter that I would place a to-go order instead. About 20 minutes later, our food was ready. At that point, our daughter woke up, so we hoped to continue dining in as originally planned. I politely asked the waiter if we could finish our meal there. We didn't expect him to continue serving us--we simply wanted to sit and eat the food we had ordered. I had already tipped him on the to-go order. His response was blunt and shocking: "No, you have to leave. The table was given to someone else for a 7:30 reservation." There was no attempt to find a solution or offer an alternative--just a direct order to leave. This was a Thursday night, the restaurant was not busy, and there were outdoor tables and other seating available. We felt incredibly insulted by the attitude. When we spoke to the manager, he simply repeated that the table was reserved and backed up the waiter, without suggesting another table or even asking us to wait for the next available one, until we brought up the point that he could have asked if we have an option to wait for the next table?? Then the manager went ok do you want to have another table just because we asked. What stood out most wasn't the reservation issue, but the complete lack of hospitality, flexibility, or basic courtesy. This experience spoke volumes about the customer service here, and unfortunately, it's the reason we won't be returning.

So I really wanted to love this experience, but unfortunately it fell short in my collection of…read moreHibachi experiences. Let's start with the positives, the restaurant itself and ambiance was nice, clean, inviting...lots of staff! Loved that they had a happy hour on a weekend day, we ordered sushi, sake, and crab puff rolls off the happy hour menu and they were all good. I feel like we would come back at some point and just do happy hour. Lots of good choices on the menu. Soup was very good, loved the soup. Salad was good, very tasty dressing. Soup and salad came with hibachi. Our waiter seemed very rushed, nervous, somewhat annoyed. This was our first time here, and first time looking at the menu. It seemed odd that he took our menus after we ordered a few things off the happy hour menu, if he would have left the menus we would have probably ordered more off the menu. We still had over an hour before happy hour was over. Drinks were okay, I ordered iced tea partner ordered sake. It was supposed to be cold, but seemed more lukewarm temp. Now for the Hibachi, I'm going to be honest it seemed like the guy was struggling. There was barely any interaction throughout the whole experience, and as you know that's what Hibachi is all about. I ordered the steak and shrimp, partner ordered the scallops. Everything was cooked with tons of oil, the shrimp and scallops were drenched in oil and there were some pieces that weren't cooked all the way through. Veggies were barely thrown on and taken right off, they were hard and lacked flavor. The whole point of grilled veggies is the slight char, and taste of the grill. He did remake the scallops but we didn't ask him to remake the shrimp or veggies for the chicken fried rice because at the point the medium steak was turning into very well done. The rice was okay, again seemed very rushed...veggies were barely cooked before chopped and grilled with rice. The service seemed very sloppy, rice veggies flung outside of grill, beside some of the customers plates...cleaning the grill to where we shielded our clothes a few times...he seemed very confused with the orders/waiters notes and seemed like he just wanted to be done. He spoke maybe 3 times the whole experience. I'd like to think that we just got a newer cook, the food itself may have been better maybe if we had a different cook experience. I've done several Hibachi experiences and this one was very lackluster, the table as a whole seemed very underwhelmed. The manager stopped by to discuss the scallops, gave feedback regarding the tons of oil, etc. He gave a military discount I believe about $6. Overall I think for a $100+ dining experience I definitely expect more in terms of experience and treatment of the food. Not sure if we'd return, the guy dining next to us suggested Shogun his issue was that the portion sizes were too small. We might do a stop in happy hour quick bite at some point, but not for Hibachi I don't think. There are so many other options to try.

***Tip-Shaming Alert***…read more This could easily be a four-star review for my pick-up order were it not for the quasi tip-shaming at the counter and the mediocre egg roll that had obviously sat in a warmer much longer than it needed to. First, the food here is delicious (for the most part); the employees are kind; and this place is as clean as it can be. The hot & sour soup here is among the best in the area. It has a little zing and plenty of velvety egg strands. It's fun and flavorful. The steamed dumplings tasted like they were made with TLC, unlike the afterthought versions at so many other joints these days. The chicken fried rice, which I did not sample, received rave reviews from the family. The General Tso's Shrimp was absolutely divine! Plump shrimp encased in a light batter, with a wonderfully piquant sauce. The egg rolls, however, were a total miss. Check out my photo, and you'll see one egg roll that's as flat as an envelope, while the other is round. Though you cannot see in the photos, there were also indentions on the (flat) egg roll from a warmer rack. In addition to it being flat, it was stale. The other egg roll was fine, albeit mediocre and not worth a future order. Why would someone in the kitchen think that it's OK to keep something in a warmer for hours and serve it to a customer? Finally, the internet wasn't properly working when I picked up my order, so they had to bring a dude from the back to crank everything up again. My order was $40 and change, and he looked at me and asked me what tip I would like to add. My answer? "No tip!" I'm sure they weren't happy, but I couldn't care less. -- I placed an order over the phone, drove to the restaurant, waited at the counter while they worked out their internet issues .... and then arrived home to realize that I paid for an egg roll that would've been fresher at 7-11. And they want a tip? Seriously? As I've mentioned in previous reviews, a gratuity is a gratuity. If you ask for it, you won't get it. If you work the counter and basically hand me a bag, you probably won't get it. And if you put me on the spot at the counter, not only will I say "no tip," but I will also let the world know that they will be guilted into paying for something that the business itself should be taking care of. Rant over. By all means, patronize this place. The food is delicious. Just don't let them serve you an old egg roll or guilt you into paying the salaries that they should be paying.
