I've worked nearby this establishment for years and have frequented this location over a decade. Yet somehow managed to forget to post a review. I am so sorry! But if you want fresh amazing poke- this place is it! No doubt about it. Do yourself a favor and come check them out. My coworkers love it here! Their poke bowls are the best!!! And if you're extra hungry- get the monster bowl! Mike and the entire staff are all very sweet. They do the best job creating the bowl to your specific liking, right in front of you!! It's a small hole in the wall in a business building. You can't miss it just look for the umbrellas and people eating outside. There's also available bar style seating inside. They can get busy, especially during the lunch rush. But you can Order ahead online as well! This particular visit, even our Frenchie was Wowed at WOW BENTO!! Thank you so much!!!! Love eating here! Never disappoints.

Placed an order via DoorDash and order arrived fast, accurate, and fresh. I thought it was unique they offer scallop as part of their scoop options. My fault for picking half rice and salad for base. I didn't realize how much cucumber and seaweed salad it comes with. Had I known this, I would've skipped it altogether. I love spicy food so chose the highest spiciness level. Don't do that to yourself! All I could taste was how mouth numbing and spicy everything is. It dwarfed all the other flavors of the poke and the only thing I tasted was cucumbers in every bite. Given how fresh and tasty the meal was, I wouldn't mind reordering for a light and refreshing lunch. Just be mindful that when you pick spicy, it really is HOT!

The places tucked in a business area so keep your eyes opened. The staff was very welcoming. It smells very fresh inside flavors are good. I ordered a monster bowl and I just had a slightly different idea. I've been to other pokey restaurants and this one would be the equivalent of their small to medium bowl. The flavors again are amazing. Ingredients are extremely fresh. Just wish that it looked more like a monster bowl. I might try it in the future if I'm in the area

A solid spot to get for lunch if you work nearby however I wouldn't go out of my way to grab a bowl. The fish was fresh and I felt the quantity for price was worth!

A small place in a business park, definitely thought I was lost until I saw the umbrellas outside. Ordering is streamlined as it's divided into simple steps with the essential options available. From start to finish my poke bowl took about a minute to order and pay. Fish tasted fresh and their sauce options are split into heat levels. Got medium and it was delicious and perfectly sauced. It was probably a 5/10 spicy, would go hot next time! It's not about size. Give it a try, Wow Bento will definitely make you say Wow!

Wow Bento is the best poke bowl spot I've found in OC; their fish always tastes fresh and the portions-to-price ratio isn't bad. The service is fast and the women behind the counter are friendly. My only forewarning is that there isn't much indoor seating (just a few stools) and it gets very busy at lunch due to being in a business park. It's definitely a grab-and-go sort of establishment, but their online ordering system is great and has always allowed me to skip the line and grab my food quickly.

Good quality poke, I just wish there was more! Hungry and just looking to pick up and go, I came across this place. I've tried most of the poke spots in the Lake Forest area so I was hoping this would be my go-to. I've been here a long time ago and got a regular bowl, if I remember correctly. This time around I ordered a Monster Bowl for pickup. The 5 scoops of fish sold me. So, I ordered all salmon, avocado, seaweed salad, ginger, crab meat, white rice, cucumbers. and medium spicy sauce. It wasn't long before my order was ready to be picked up. I hurried and grabbed my food and ate it when I got back to work. What did I think of it? - Monster Bowl: 5 small scoops of fish on what seems to be the same amount of rice you would get in a regular bowl. It tasted fresh and delicious though. It just looked identical in size to my coworker's regular bowl that I picked up. Service was good, the staff is friendly. Parking spots are available here and there. It's a business complex so there's always cars parked here (at least during the weekdays). No indoor seating is available. Definitely a place worth trying, see if it "wows" you!

this spot is literally right across the street from my job ! It is definitely hidden, but I am so glad I found it. Everything was so fresh Poké bowl was amazing. Great customer service very clean and the prices weren't too bad. Definitely worth it. I will be back very soon. Thank you.

Small poke bowl gem! Nothing fancy, but the food choices are fresh. They move the line quickly. There is limited seating outside but perfect if you come just before noon. My colleague and I arrived here at 11;50 am during the work week and we found a table no problem. We both had meetings at 1 pm and we were back in plenty of time ! This is my go to place for lunch when I'm in town !

Prices are good

This Poki bowl place is amazing. Salmon, tuna, spice tuna are all good. Place is a little hidden. But this place is worth the price you pay. Poki bowl price is quite cheap compare to other places. I guarantee the price and taste.

Wow Bento is my go to lunch spot. It's 5 minutes away from my work, and I literally go here at least 2-3 times a month. I've tried almost all the poke spots in the Lake Forest/ Irvine area, and Wow Bento is one of my favorites! It's in a random little strip plaza where you would never expect a poke joint to be. They are quick with their service -- even with a line out the door, you'll never wait more than 5 minutes with their cafeteria-style serving. I've probably eaten here at least 20-30 times, and they have never disappointed me. Their fish has been fresh every single time, and they are always incredibly consistent. Their portions are also very reasonable! Pro tip: get the unagi sauce drizzled on top of your bowl at the end :) If you're in the area, I highly recommend that you give Wow Bento a try!

This place is OK, the fish is fresh, reminds me of a poke place in Hawaii, but they don't have many options for sauce, they don't really communicate that well, and they're all about speed and small portions. I got a Poké bowl and a tea for $18, there was not that much fish compared to other places, the sauce tasted a lot like sesame oil and Sriracha , when I asked for a side of soy sauce, I got one packet, when I asked for a few more, they made a big deal about that and gave me two additional. Doubtful I'll be back :(

This place is located in the same center as McDonald's, El Pollo Loco, and Jam Jam Tea Lab. I ordered a SMALL poke bowl with two scoops of protein: SALMON and SCALLOPS for $14.50, and added avocado for $1. All toppings are FREE so pack it on to your heart's content. The prices are pretty reasonable and they give you A LOT of food. This was about the same amount of food as a 3-scoop protein bowl at my favorite poke spot. Service was okay, but when I asked the cashier to explain the sauces to me, she just kind of assumed I understood how it worked. She asked me if I wanted "poke sauce," but did not tell me what was in it. Then she asked me if I wanted sesame oil and I said, "Ok." I asked for light spicy mayo, sesame oil, and poke sauce, and she drizzled it all over the bowl... Anyhow, I expected the bowl to be super salty, but somehow it wasn't even though she had put a lot of sauce in there lol. Overall, the bowl lacked flavor and the sauce was not evenly distributed. The rice was good, the salmon was fresh. The scallops were meh. I didn't like that the toppings tasted like they came out of a can. I would not get the pineapple or "crab" (imitation crab) again. Also, the cucumbers were pickled, which caught me by surprise. Their fried onion was more crunchy than other places which I enjoyed. Unfortunately, although this place gives you a bang for your buck, it left me unfulfilled. I think of they marinated their fish and sauces together rather than drizzling it on the bowl, it would be better. I will not be coming back. They have a few cute wooden tables inside so you can eat with a few of your friends or dine in by yourself. Better luck next time!

The salmon was buttery and soft, while the tuna was flavorful. Honestly don't know which one I liked more, they were both delicious. 'Bear Flag Taco': this tasted really fresh and light, felt like I could have multiple! 'Pineapple Margarita': I believe this was their special drink of the day, and it was only around $12! One of the Worst First Impressions I've Had at a Restaurant…read more I recently moved to Newport Beach and came across Bear Flag Fish Co. while shopping. It was my first time there, and unfortunately, it will probably be my last. I ordered a sushi lobster roll that was around $35. The menu did not clearly disclose the ingredients, and nobody explained to me what was included in the roll. When it arrived, it was covered in a very heavy amount of mayonnaise and other sauces mixed together. Because I have allergies to certain ingredients, I politely asked the waiter if they could take it back and prepare one without the sauces. The waiter was actually very polite and handled the request professionally. I had no issue with him whatsoever. Then JUAN, THE MANAGER, came over. Instead of trying to understand the situation or simply resolving the issue, he questioned why I would return an expensive item after it had already been prepared. I explained very clearly that the ingredients had not been disclosed to me and that I had an allergy, which was the reason I needed it prepared differently. His response was extremely unprofessional. Rather than showing concern about a customer's allergy or acknowledging that the ingredients could have been explained more clearly, he basically told me that the issue with the ingredients was not his business. Seriously? A customer comes into your restaurant for the first time, spends money on a $35 roll, explains that they have a food allergy, and this is how the manager chooses to handle the situation? Mistakes happen. Restaurants get orders wrong. That isn't what bothered me. The way management treated me after I politely explained the problem is what bothered me. For a restaurant charging premium prices, I expect premium-level customer service and professionalism. Instead, I left feeling like my concerns were an inconvenience. JUAN, as the manager, should understand that customer service is part of his job. If a customer has an allergy concern, the appropriate response should be to listen, clarify the ingredients, and find a reasonable solution--not argue with the customer about the cost of the food. The waiter was courteous and tried to help, so I want to give him credit for that. Unfortunately, the manager's behavior completely overshadowed the rest of the experience. First impression: extremely disappointing. If you're going to charge around $35 for a roll, customers should be able to expect clear communication about what's in their food and professional treatment when they raise a legitimate allergy concern. I came in as a new customer who was simply looking for a good place to eat in my new neighborhood. Instead, I walked away wondering how a restaurant with these prices can have management that handles customers this way.
