Wow Bento is located in Irvine, but it's basically bordering Lake Forest. When I went a couple of years ago, there was no seating inside; it was just a tiny shop where you walk in and order according to the steps on the menu. I asked for a poke bowl with salmon, and the cubed pieces were so small haha. Everything tasted fresh and went well together (fish, salad, toppings), and luckily there wasn't a long list of flavors or sauces like at other poke shops. I honestly thought the simplicity would let the poke shine in the bowl, but I think the portion and/or cube size weren't generous enough to let that happen. So, I do agree with the other Yelpers on the small portions and sizes. Though I liked my poke bowl, I'd prefer to go elsewhere for poke due to the small portions and out-of-the-way location. What did I think of it? - Monster Bowl: 5 small scoops of fish on what seems to be the same amount of rice you would get in a regular bowl. It tasted fresh and delicious though. It just looked identical in size to my coworker's regular bowl that I picked up. Service was good, the staff is friendly. Parking spots are available here and there. The serving isn't huge, which is a bummer, but the quality is just so great. Every single fish piece was tender along with flavorful. I did not have a single bad piece. I got a regular bowl with 2 tuna and one spicy tuna, everything on it along with avocado and hot for my spice. Hot was not spicy, bummer, but not complaining. They use almost like a mini cookie scoop for their fish and avocado portions. For people complaining about the service saying they ladies aren't nice: they are here to get your bowl, in and out. They are quick with their service -- even with a line out the door, you'll never wait more than 5 minutes with their cafeteria-style serving.
