After the server placed the teapot on our table, she told us, don't break it, otherwise it will cost you $180... Later, I asked her about the special dishes listed on the board at the entrance. Instead of explaining the options, she said, "I can't remember that many items in my mind. Please go to the front and take a picture of the menu yourself." I was honestly surprised by the attitude and lack of basic customer service. I've enjoyed coming here in the past, but unfortunately, after this experience, I won't be returning.

Sadly, I found out even before ordering that its original owner Louis Cheng recently retired and sold the restaurant to new ownership. The food was so-so but it was definitely not as good as I remember - the boiled fish in was definitely different versus what it was previously. Instead of spicy and fragrant peppercorns in oil, it was a simple sauce and cornstarch, very little heat and pretty generic. The other dishes didn't have the fiery wok taste that they used to and it felt more like an average Chinese food restaurant versus one that's more authentically Szechuan. Not bad food by any means, but less spice and more generic. Maybe it's a decision by new management to make it more mass appealing, but I was sad that it was sold and doesn't feel like the same place.

The highlight of the meal was the spectacular tableside Flambé dessert--it was both delicious and a fun experience. The service was exceptional. Our waitress was incredibly sweet, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. The owners were also warm and welcoming, adding to the wonderful dining experience. Ordered extra broccoli, which cost $3.90, and only got 5 pieces (2 of them are not in the picture). The broccoli in my general tso's chicken was practically raw, and there was hardly any sauce. The sauce, chicken, and broccoli were flavorless. The Thai basically chicken was also flavorless, and the chicken was slimy. Both of the sauces were water consistency. Also ordered extra duck sauce, didn't even get 1. Their Thai iced tea is watered down and again, bland. Their sushi is the only decent thing on the menu, but even that isn't the best quality.

I open the door and immediately realize, this ain't going to be cheap. The interior looks upscale, and not a hole in the wall like I had incorrectly thought all along. I asked how long a General Tsos order would take to make. The receptionist told me 10 minutes or less. So I place the order and pay $20 after tax. The food was sweet with a noticeable kick of red pepper. I did notice the pan-Asian menu... and maybe this is a good option for a nice dinner for a special occasion, but I don't think I'll be able to afford this place as my go to Chinese take out joint.

The chicken adobo here is tender, fall-off-the-bone perfection, but the real star is the sauce. It's the most flavorful adobo sauce I've ever had--rich, garlicky, with just the right balance of soy sauce and vinegar, plus a slight sweetness that I absolutely loved. You'll be craving it long after your meal, and trust me, it will bring you back for more. But that's not all! We also tried their Shrimp Kalabasa, and it was just as incredible. The shrimp were plump and juicy, the kalabasa (pumpkin) was soft and naturally sweet, and the green beans added the perfect crunch. The sauce tied everything together beautifully, making every bite comforting and satisfying. Despite the humble appearance of this restaurant in the Food Court, the chef here is top-rate--every dish is packed with bold, authentic flavors that stand out. Service was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Next time, I'm definitely trying their sisig--if it's anything like the dishes I had, I already know it's going to be amazing!
