They take great care of rebuilding old bikes and I really love that about this place. Next time I am in the market for another bike this is my stop. We got an old kids bike from a relative and I remember that Kiwanis can resort old bikes. I thought we could give it a try and man was it ever a great idea. I will definitely be back. I like supporting local shops and especially non-profits. If your looking to get an expensive brand new bike this is probably not the place for you. But if your looking for a good bike for a reasonable price, this is an amazing place to go. I am just super happy with their service. I can't say enough about the great service and treatment we got. Obviously, treat others the was you want to be treated but the gentlemen who work on the bike was outstanding and very polite. Again, I highly recommend checking them out. Just amazed at this place. They have plenty of parking and the location is not on a busy street which is nice. Also, I saw people there fixing and tuning their own bikes. I think they have classes there for that. I am not sure but it is a good way to learn and do your own maintenance on your bicycle. I am definitely considering on taking a class or two. That is all I could think of for now. THEN, when I went to buy some $30 a pair socks the salesman tried to persuade me to pay $30 bucks for a membership. I told him no and he was obviously not happy with my decision. When I went to pay $100 for 3 pair of socks the cashier got into it the membership thing as well. These socks come with a lifetime warranty and she tried to tell me that without the membership they had no way of tracking purchases right after she asked me for my phone number. I wasn't happy about that and then she told me I would have to keep this paper receipt cash register for the rest of my life in order for REI to honor their warranty. Seems like a lot of bullshit for a $30 membership. I won't be back.

They were a solid pair from a road bicycle that appear to have a sealed bearing, which is quality for certain. He also gave me some tips for a long bike tour that I was about to undertake. He was very honest and candid with me and didn't try to sell me anything that I didn't need, even though I asked him specifically what he would recommend to me. He mentioned the shop is largely for the community and is a charity of sorts. When I was there they had an open bike repair center - where you are free to use the tools they have to fix your bicycle. There were a number of children there taking advantage of this free service offered. A great place to stop by if you are on a tour and could use some parts/components cheap, need to use the tools or gain some insight from the workers there.

This is up where Bonanza is and I live down in South Reno. Silly me, I know. Results, they didn't call me when they have finished. I had to call them and it was nearly late afternoon when I had dropped it off early because they said they can finish it early. My stepson was eager to get his bike back. All I wanted was to be informed that it was done, that's all. Pricing itself was pretty fair. They changed his tires into a dirt tire which was awesome so now he has hybrid tires! Even tough it's a kid bike, labor counts so Thankyou for the awesome job! The owner is really friendly and his staffs too. (During this time, all wore their masks. That's always a plus.)

I changed my tire and the store guys were super friendly and helpful. They let me use their air pump to pump up my tire vs my hand pump. Saved me 15 mins and hand cramps. They had a big selection of e-bikes and I have been interested in trying them out on some trails. When I do decide on an e-bike or even to rent, I'll come by this shop mainly because of how friendly they were!

These share only basic DNA with the Huffy and Schwinn bikes I grew up riding and tricking out. I stopped in because something had come loose. They're overpriced, especially on non-sale items on almost everything. I stumbled here in the very rare circumstance I needed something before Amazon could deliver it -- a snorkel set before leaving for Hawaii the next day. I was blown away what was inside. A full size Ferris wheel? Shooting Gallery? Cafe? Candy Store? On and On. While not nearly as impressive as the Bass Pros headquarters store in Springfield MO, for those in Reno locals/visitors, it's worth a visit just to see the place, especially when super cold or hot out. Liberal's (REI folk) might find some of the stuff amusing (the premium gun collection and the huge safe assortment come to mind.) I'd give about 30 minutes to wander around. Longer if you actually want to shop or actually do some of the activities.
