I didn't have the right adapter for the roof rack

Came in to look at some bikes and met John. Awesome guy and very knowledgeable of bikes in general. Bought the Trance X and couldn't be more happier. Set the bike up for me and I was ready to go. Can tell these guys are passionate about cycling in general. Go see these guys!

Thank you Giant for the education today!

About 6 months ago, during the off-season, I purchased a "trailer" for my two small dogs to ride in once I got a bicycle. Fast forward to April and I purchase a bike got home only to see that the setup of the rear axle looked nothing like the instructions. A friend of mine suggested loading my bike into the back of my Jeep and taking it to a bike shop. Instead of doing that, I took a picture and the coupler to Giant Reno Sparks to ask if they could help out. The bike mechanic there looked at the picture and the coupler, knowing exactly what to do, he showed me how to do it! I wasn't expecting this!! He pulled another bicycle out of the backroom so he could completely walk me through the process! When I got home, I have now installed the coupler and hooked up the little trailer, taking it for a short test ride. No dogs in it yet as I want to make sure I am comfortable it before I put my furry kids in it. I figured I would spend probably $60-$100 to get the coupler installed. I had to ask if I could pay him and I was told, I could leave a tip in the jar! AND I did!! Thank you Giant! WOW!!

I was in town seeing family and called the day before my trip to see if they had the bike I wanted in stock, not only was it in stock but they put it on hold for me for 24 hours. When I got to the shop I was greeted right away they pulled the bike out got it all inspected and tightened up. We took it out behind the shop and I tested it out I was in and out in 20 minutes. Super clean and they had sanitizer and masks on it was a very pleasant experience and if I need another bike I will definitely get it from this shop on my next trip out there.

I took my bike in for a tune-up and some new tires, and it rides better now than when I bought it.

Kiwanis is amazing!…read more I highly recommend visiting them. They have great staff and prices for used bikes. I am all about reusing old bikes. They take great care of rebuilding old bikes and I really love that about this place. Next time I am in the market for another bike this is my stop. We got an old kids bike from a relative and I remember that Kiwanis can resort old bikes. I thought we could give it a try and man was it ever a great idea. I will definitely be back. I like supporting local shops and especially non-profits. If your looking to get an expensive brand new bike this is probably not the place for you. But if your looking for a good bike for a reasonable price, this is an amazing place to go. I am just super happy with their service. I can't say enough about the great service and treatment we got. Obviously, treat others the was you want to be treated but the gentlemen who work on the bike was outstanding and very polite. Again, I highly recommend checking them out. Just amazed at this place. They have plenty of parking and the location is not on a busy street which is nice. Also, I saw people there fixing and tuning their own bikes. I think they have classes there for that. I am not sure but it is a good way to learn and do your own maintenance on your bicycle. I am definitely considering on taking a class or two. That is all I could think of for now. Thanks for reading my review.

I wouldn't recommend this place, the staff is rude and unwelcoming. Its a simple as that.read more

Scheels is awesome! What a treasure for the Reno/Sparks area…read more I have visited Scheels dozens of times. If you are looking for something sports-related, they almost certainly have it. If you can't find it in store, they can probably order it for you. On top of being a sporting goods store, Scheels has a Ferris wheel, a digital shooting range, a candy shop, an arcade, two aquariums, a bike/ski/skate service shop, a snack bar, a taxidermy mountain, a bowling alley, and loads of other things to keep a family entertained for hours. The surrounding Legends Mall also supplies loads to do and can easily keep you busy for a whole day or more. While I find the prices at Scheels to be a tad higher than online retailers, most things are reasonably priced and competitive compared to other brick-and-mortar sports stores. All of the employees are super friendly and kind. I often think of Scheels as the Chick-fil-A of retail.

5-stars if you've never been to a flagship store like this and aren't looking for good value…read more 4-stars if you actually are going to buy something. They're overpriced, especially on non-sale items on almost everything. I stumbled here in the very rare circumstance I needed something before Amazon could deliver it -- a snorkel set before leaving for Hawaii the next day. I was blown away what was inside. A full size Ferris wheel? Shooting Gallery? Cafe? Candy Store? On and On. While not nearly as impressive as the Bass Pros headquarters store in Springfield MO, for those in Reno locals/visitors, it's worth a visit just to see the place, especially when super cold or hot out. Liberal's (REI folk) might find some of the stuff amusing (the premium gun collection and the huge safe assortment come to mind.) I'd give about 30 minutes to wander around. Longer if you actually want to shop or actually do some of the activities.
