Great place to shop around! They have a snack station at the entrance where you can grab a small cup of sample coffee and a pastry to enjoy while shopping. They also have a wide selection of products.

We used to have a World Market two blocks from our apartment, and I loved going there. Often, I found little items or gadgets I wasn't looking for, but they turned out to be very useful. The prices were always reasonable, too. Unfortunately, that location closed a few years before the pandemic. Then, we discovered the Napa location during one of our weekend trips. Now, we stop by before heading back home whenever we go to Napa. I still find it a great place to visit, with or without a shopping list!

It's been years since I shopped at a World Market and it was at a completely different store to boot. Service was wonderful! Discovering my lack of membership status the staffer quickly rectified that and made absolutely certain I received ALL my benefits. I was left bemused by this blaze of ruthless efficiency. I usually just window shop at a new store but the minute I spotted the Jacob's Cream Crackers, I hunted down a basket because I was gonna need both hands to shop. I'm fond of many other crackers but it's hard to find an acceptable substitute for Jacobs. I was startled by the price. It was about $1.50 lower than the last time I'd purchased these. Can it be? Is inflation finally slowing down? Unlike my usual behavior I succumbed to a few tidbits. I'd been scolded by my doctor about my dietary habits. It is true I'm deep in a rut. Time to try out some new, maybe even healthier, foods. Usually I skip the rest of the store, but this time I actually need some kitchen items. They didn't have what I was looking for but my respect for the kitchen section rose two notches when I saw they sold Lodge and hand-hammered woks. The woks looked a bit odd to my eye, that's not the usual hammer pattern. It kinda looks like someone took a normal wok and decided to hammer a pretty pattern in them. But at least they've *heard* of hand hammered woks. I didn't find anything new in the furniture section because this isn't a store that specializes in clever pieces that will either morph into something different or fold down into nothing. But they did have a few pieces that I might be able to squeeze into my place... maybe. The dining section was very helpful! This is one of those stores that will sell you dishes, napkins, placemats, silverware one by one. The prices are... well, I've seen a lot higher prices... at supermarkets for the privilege of buying singletons. You are expected to sign up for everything, the credit card, the loyalty program, the special sales, to work the prices down. I'm keeping my eye on the various programs. It's easier to work the loyalty program than it would be to keep showing up at the various clearance corners in dept. stores looking for that one or two bits of something. Tentatively, I've decided to place the dining section as a good store for people with tiny spaces. It remains to be seen if this place is price competitive.

The store has some good things. But customer service is not one of them. I was there aboit an hour. Walked around. Passed 3 people who work there all who were chattinf together and not one asked if i needed anything. I did in fact. I took what i had- paid and left. Will go elsewhere next time.

This is the smallest World Market location I've been to. But I used to go to the Oakland one, the original, and am spoiled. Usually, we can mosey around the store and find something, but here I didn't need to mosey so much. The selection of things that they have are interesting, but there's no real reason to come here. I was just curious, but this is the first time I realized how small this place is. It's not just the smallness of the store, but it doesn't seem to have the same number of items/options as their larger stores do. I usually come here for kicks and giggles, but I think that for some real shopping, I'd go to Oakland so I can have some stuff to look at.

Love this place. Always find something to bring home. It's like going to Asia and Europe all in one store.

    Checking sale.

Good Selection but, when I went to check out no checker. I waited for someone to come up front. This is really poor customer service

Of course, you can bring your own containers, they will weigh the container so you pay only for the product not the container. The store is an odd mixture of what looks like really giftable items and essentially a bunch of reusable containers both empty and already filled. Towards the back, there are enormous containers of dish soap, laundry detergent, hand soap and what have you. You have some choices in terms of scent. All the scents I noticed were from natural sources. I haven't had a chance to fully process the prices but it looks like you pay the full price for the refillable container you purchase plus you pay a price roughly equivalent to going to the supermarket to pick up a similar product for the refill. I have tried the laundry detergent, the dish soap and the liquid hand soap. All of the products work well. The fragrance for the liquid soaps is definitely a cut above your standard supermarket brand. The scents are coming from natural ingredients, they didn't irritate my eczema, induce migraines the way artificial fragrances will do to me, or nauseate me. I didn't have any allergic reactions to any of the products. The dish soap is reasonably gentle but might not be the gentlest one on the market. I went thru a couple of days when I had to wash load after load of pots and I noticed my hands started bleeding. Perhaps it was just all the cooking and perhaps it was overexposure to the soap. I temporarily switched to using rubber gloves and my blue Kirkland brand and the problem has not returned. But for routine use, the Juniper Station version is more pleasant and doesn't normally cause my hands to bleed. Thanks to my allergies I went through a few products reading ingredients labels. Just about all the products use naturally sourced ingredients with safer choices substituting for more problematic chemicals. I did purchase one item intending to give it as a gift. But then I realized unless the gifted has access to a refillable station it's rather pointless. And unless the person wants to refill, it's double pointless. So essentially I purchased a nice refillable container and a large sample of soap instead of the actual concept of refill-ability. But this is a great place to pick up gift worthy refillable containers. I paid more for a similar container decades ago at Target. It lasted 15 or so years before it finally bit the dust. If you're looking for more eco-friendly choices, this store offers some truly spectacular options as long as you live within convenient refill distance.

Once a week, usually, I go there, as they always have new items, plus, their prices on items are respectfully honest. After reading the negative reviews, I feel I should stand up for this beautiful consignment shop. The reason being I had my own business on the coast for five years. I started out with all my own items. My mom who lived in Colorado would send me boxes of things to sell. She called them care packages and she never wanted a penny for them. The shop did fantastic in the beginning, but when I started doing consignment for people, I didn't realize how tough it was going to be. I was the only employee in the beginning and there were days, I was so exhausted that I had to close my shop on the days that I was open. That was the hardest part knowing I was disappointing customers. People would leave things outside in front of my shop door and some of it was trash. Yet, there were people who donated items they didn't want money for just to keep me going. These are memories I treasure. I wish people would understand that we have a limited amount of shops like this in NAPA and they're all wonderful. And we have lots and lots of people who want to earn money on their items as times are hard- my point being on this is ..we are willing to get rid of and to let go of our items. Yes, there were glitches in the beginning and ever since I have seen a 100% improvement in Dovetail Consignment Boutiques. I have brought them hundreds and hundreds of feet of bubble wrap to help them package items that are precious to customers that they have purchased.. No one realizes that have never had a shop like this to understand how really, really tough it is and I think they have been vigilant in working out and correcting the issues and problems developing this wonderful store. It takes great patience, perseverance, blood sweat, and tears to meet the Public expectations and demands. I wish people were more patient and understanding. I will always support this shop. As well as the other's in shops in town. This comes from my heart and I wish the reviews weren't as negative as they've become because they don't deserve it. Thank you for reading this. I hope it helps the shop and the customers..
