They still have some of the fantastic brands the other location did, such as the leather coasters, candles in a milk bottle, and bar items for drink mixing but many of the other pieces felt cheap and out of place. For sheer mass, the primary merchandise was devoted to tea sets. Pure Asian tea sets. It was overwhelming. Sadly, for Old Beijing, I am overloaded with tea sets. I was a little nervous about all that fragrance, until I remembered I smelled this before, and had no adverse reaction. There were even bundles of white sage, to cleanse the spirits or something. Is that really an Asian tradition? There were some trinkets and toys which were aimed mostly at little kids. But the bulk of it was surprisingly high-end. Walking into this shop has always felt nostalgic to me.
