It's impossible to review every single department in this store without writing a book. I came here specifically to check out the wine selection and was sorely disappointed. There are convenience stores with a similar selection. They have a selection of liquor, locked up on the other side of the aisle. The Safeway on the other side of town has a far more extensive selection and puts this place to shame. The only advantage here, is that their prices are less than Safeway. So they get that extra star. They haven't made much of an investment on the grocery side either since there is no fresh meat or seafood counter, deli, or bakery. There's a very small produce department and all of the refrigerated/freezer aisles are very short. To make things even more inconvenient, you cannot buy alcohol at their self check out. Looks like I'll be making that trip to Safeway afterall. read more

I visited this Target for the first time tonight to pick up an order at the order pickup counter. There wasn't anyone there when I got there. I waited for a few minutes until an employee arrived. After scanning my barcode and checking my ID, he was off to grab my order. He reappered not long after. He was very pleasant. The women's restroom is one of the cleaner Target bathrooms I have ever seen and there was plenty of soap! (Each sink had its own individual mini hand soap bottle sitting by the faucet) I would visit again if I needed to stop by Target while I'm visiting Napa. read more

We were in the neighborhood and the weather was a bit chillier than what I excepted so I was looking for a hoodie to wear over my shirt. Walking through the store, all the displays were very neat and organized, the staff continually keeps the inventory orderly. I found a sweater I liked ($30- a little pricey for me but my need far outweighs the cost); also found a cute accent pillow for my pup so he'd leave the house throw pillows alone. The cashier was pleasant and polite, our transaction was smooth and quick; but as luck would have it, as soon as I walked out the soon with my new sweater and put it on, the sun shined brightly and it got fairly warm. Oh well, at least I got a nice souvenir from our trip; now, I wished the sweater said "Napa" on it somewhere. read more

Brick and mortar Target vs Target online. The Soscol Ave Target: It had to happen sometime. You shop so often at so many different Target stores, that you start to discern subtle differences between the stores. This Target seems a tad larger than your average target store. It certainly has an astonishingly large clearance section with absolutely no stock. I've never seen a clearance section this shopped out. It was my first visit to the store so I decided I might be between stocking events and decided to forgive them. However, if this happens again, no such forgiveness will be forthcoming on a second visit. The shelves were so bare I couldn't even guess at the former contents. The rest of the store was reasonably stocked and nicely cleaned and organized. It was a bit sad. I literally came in just to buy one item. I had a gift card and had taken some pains to make sure I had what I needed to use it in the store. No such luck. I would say the target brick and mortar store operates almost independently of its online presence. It's like the two don't intersect very much. Using what's available on the web isn't great. But getting that to transfer to in-store use is a crapshoot. Being relatively new to shopping online at target, this lack of transference was new to me, but clearly the staff had plenty of experience with the problems between what's online and what's in store. Overall, the in-store experience was what I expected (it was fine). It was the inability to move between the online experience and the physical store that was new to me. Target, the brick and mortar store and target.com deserve to be rated completely separately. They are very different experiences. I'd say brick and mortar target is a finely tuned machine. target.com is astonishingly inept for an organization of its size and magnitude. It goes smoothly until it all crashes. There isn't even an error message when that happens. You have to try every different conceivable combination in order to find the correct order of operations that gets you to the finish line. When the website crashes during checkout it's hard to expect much. Overall, this review is for shopping in the store versus shopping entirely online and getting delivery. I can't even imagine what might happen if I try to order online and pick up. It sounds like this would be bad. We'll see what happens when I summon up the courage to try this experiment. The real Target - 4 stars with a possible 5th once they restock Target.com - there are times when that really is a purely imaginary experience. Like a nightmare or a dream. I had a very concerning experience at this Target location involving my young son. He was injured in the boys' bathing suit section after tripping and hitting his head on a clothing rack. He was bleeding heavily, became pale, and was extremely distressed. What was most upsetting was the lack of urgency from staff. I asked for help multiple times, including to use a phone or get assistance contacting my husband, and was not properly helped. I was directed to a first aid kit that had minimal supplies and was told to ask around for help instead of being assisted directly. We ended up having to leave and take him to the emergency room at Queen of the Valley Hospital, where he was treated and diagnosed with a concussion. I have already filed a formal complaint with Target (Case #307339974), but I felt it was important to share this experience. I hope the store reviews its emergency response procedures so no other family has to go through something similar read more

Target is awful. Don't ever spend your money especially to buy gift cards from Target. I have received 2 gift cards and given 1 gift card that doesn't work. The staff at target don't want to help you. They give you a number that doesn't help you either. You have to produce a receipt. Fortunately the one I gave a gift card to was my brother and I had scanned my red card so I had an electronic receipt. But how embarrassing to ask other people who gave you a gift for a receipt? My sister went in to do a return without receipt for me for some diapers because I wasn't able to go and they discriminated her making it a huge deal as if she was stealing. This has not been the first time that we have been discriminated at this target. Last time I was buying a bunch of clearance baby items for my baby and I was stopped at the door and asked for my receipt. This Target has great selection and has areas that are well zoned and maintained. The music or their radio is just too loud for even customers to enjoy shopping. The Store need to address this to management. I was using the family restroom and the music is so loud that I even saw the ceiling has a tape on the speaker part. I guess the customer or their maintenance put the tape there to cover the loudness but it is still loud. Please have it turn down lower. It is distracting. I cannot even hear the other person on the other line while I was talking on the phone due to loud music! I have noticed that jewelry and accessories are always organized and has plenty of stocks. They must have great crews here! Service is friendly! There's homelessness outside and sometimes inside the Store. Hey, this is California and that sight is now normal to the eyes! read more

We were visiting and I decided to pick some things up that I needed. Never have I ever been in such a rude store. My salad rang up 2 at the self check. I asked for help and got an eye roll. Then it kept saying I earned a gift card. I figured ok. But it kept bouncing back to the gift card. I asked a different lady for help and got an exasperated sigh and was told I need to get a gift card and scan it myself. The target brand is liked by my family and plantain chips are not always easy to find. Well, this location didn't have them. Weird. If your employee appears to be sick, send your employee home. This specific Target seems to be less busier compared to other locations. The parking lot wasn't full and I was surprised to find a parking spot closer to the entrance. When I walked in, I was immediately caught off guard by a Target employee standing in the $1-$5 section coughing all over the place. His ill appearance quickly caught my attention. On a somewhat positive note, he was wearing a mask. I was able to find all that I needed and of course, things I didn't need. The store appeared to be organized but the clothing sections needs a little work. The kids clothing looked mixed in with the women's clothes or maybe both departments are just too close together and needs some separation. It was confusing. I used the self check out. While I was scanning my things, I can clearly hear the same employee in the dollar section coughing up a lung. When I finally paid for my things, I quickly bagged my stuff, and power walked out of there. I admit, I felt unsafe and a little paranoid. Nobody wants to catch the "Vid". The upper management at this specific Target needs to send their employees home when they are ill. That male employee looked like he didn't feel good at all! read more

Target is always clean. Items are stocked and easy to find because everything is shelved and put in its place correctly. It's not ever crowded, which is a blessing that makes it comfortable to shop. This review is specifically for The Black Friday Taylor Swift sale (Anthology vinyl/CD , Eras book) . This target did an amazing job. All the employees were friendly and it was organized. People in line were nice. We were about 20th in line around 545am. The employees started at the front of the line taking your name, phone number and what you wanted. They let us in the store at 6 in a single file line and kept us in line. They kept the stuff behind the counter (not on display) which was smart. They kept to purchase limits. We were in and out. Looking at the mob scenes and poor communication we saw online at some of the other targets... this one should be really proud of how their team handled everything ! It was fair and painless. Bonus points for employees smiling and being so friendly before the sun came up! read more

I like the variety of items at this store. Otherwise it's highly disorganized, messy, and horrible customer service. There's hardly anyone in the floor ever. And majority of the time when I ask for help, the employees don't know where anything is. The worst part is the dressing rooms. The backroom of the area was overly cluttered with clothes and go backs. There was no employees too so we just had to fend for ourselves. As a customer at this Target.. naturally when needing to use the facilities I did so. I mentioned to the young boy at the front of the store, cleaning carts that the restroom needed some attention. (No toilet paper, soap, paper toilets). He completely shrugged his shoulders, as if he didn't care. Or maybe that's not his job lol who knows.. anyway... (thank goodness, sanitizer is kept on me and wipes) I'm literally thinking.. that's wonderful that we have clean carts kind sir, however.. we can't wash our hands or wipe with proper toiletries.. if you don't handle it. (Not every one carries supplies..) One hour later.. I'm back in the restroom.. (pulling a Karen, it's just who I'm as a person, sometimes.. or maybe i wanted to write this review .. I am specifically writing this review because we encountered an amazing human being tonight in the returns/Customer Service area when my daughter and I went into return a couple of blouses. Sophia was such a breath of fresh air, based on what you deal with in typical returns/customer service departments. She was extremely welcoming, cheerful and helpful - she even told us that what we were looking for was on sale and that we should access it via our Target Cartwheel app. In fact she walked me through it so that we could get another 20% off some items we were looking to shop for after we completed the return transaction. I don't know if this was just an anomaly and Sophia was just a great hire or if this is Targets new training program, but interacting with her was a marked difference from the usual routine walking into Target to talk with someone in customer service. I love visiting this Target because it doesn't seem to be as busy as the other ones I've visited and they usually have a lot in stock. But, this last visit I went for a specific item. While looking for it throughout the isles, I found a kiosk that lets you search for what you're trying to find in the store. I used it, it told me which isle the item I was looking for was in, which was coincidentally the same isle as the kiosk. I walked up and down the isle looking for the item, but didn't even find an empty spot where it would be. On the kiosk it said it was in stock, but it was nowhere to be found. So, I used the feature on the kiosk to call a team member for assistance. I pressed it, waited, then got the notification that a team member was on the way. Waited. Waited. Then it disappeared off the screen and no team member was to be found. I repeated this 3/4 times. Waited about 20+ minutes. Finally gave up. The person I went with was convinced that a team member would answer the alert, saying they're on their way, but not actually come my way. Pretty disappointed. Will probably go back, but will just go right to the front customer service desk if I ever need help again. read more

You can't trust the sale prices in the store. On the shelf a nice comforter was on sale for $39.99. When I checked out I thought the amount was really high for my order so I looked at the comforter and they charged me $64. The manager told me it goes on sale next week even though on the shelf it a says its on sale. Whatever happened to companies having to honor the advertised price? I took it back and got a refund what a waste of time. read more

I have spent plenty of time in here spending plenty of money on plastic and whatnot: blank CDs sunglasses that break two weeks after purchase (if not lost first) that 3-movies-in-1 DVD that I buy to watch maybe once a Faith No More compilation CD of songs I already have shoes (made of some kind of non-leather material) halloween mask 'new car smell' spray vacuum cleaner a board game with 73 pieces (17 of which get stuck in the vacuum cleaner) toothpaste burt's bees baby bee buttermilk bath soak a tape recorder (not an easy thing to round up at 6:30 on a Friday afternoon) storage unit for preceding stuff a last-minute Mother's Day card a pack of Eclipse peppermint chewing gum I walk out of here feeling like I'm all set. I'm all done spending money. But you know that feeling wears off after a short while and is replaced by a certain emptiness that can only be sated by getting more stuff. For chrissakes... So my family and I like to come to this Target because it's a lot better than the location in our city, and it's not too far so we make the little drive here. The store was A1 , the products & everything was on point . But when we got to the check lane to pay for our stuff, our cashier was being very, very strange and slow while talking to me. Also she didn't listen to my request for no bags very well But an associate , I believe by the name Ashley , came up to my family and I from the customer service desk and started asking us all these questions about our kids, asking my kids their names and for high fives and just acting like she was a friend of ours when we never saw her before. She wasn't even really talking to us unless asking about them, she stood there until we were completely rung up and got our change and were leaving. I thought she was in line to purchase something, but she came up when we did and left when we did. Diego not only greeted me but he Thanked me for shopping at Target and invited me to come back again. Came into today trying to find a specific eye brow pencil ! After looking for some time we found amber who worked in the cosmetic department! She was amazing and kind and very friendly and so very helpful ! She literally tried helping me find the item I wanted for at least 10 minutes ! We never ever did find it but she found it on amazon for me ! She was a amazing human being who went above and beyond for me ! I will look for amber every time I come in now as she is the best !
