Hey y'all, I am back again with another review here! Today I visited because I wanted to show my mom all of the great things at this store has. This was honestly my first time going through the whole backside of the store. They had so many different drinks from all around the world. I was so excited. This store has so many great gems.. I swear I'm coming back with $100 and grabbing all of the snacks that I seen lol there were so many to choose from. They had candy bars from Korea... things from Switzerland and of course .. Atmosphere is great.. They do offer free tea or coffee at the front. So go try this and shop until you drop !! read more

I can give 0 star if i could. Rude person work at pick up counter opening time 3/28/26 @ 10:23am. Told em came pick up order, we like the basket we chose and kindly ask her to replace it. Replied "Next time wait for the email confirmation" then threw the other basket on the cart next to us. Mind you it's loud. And tore up the paperwork. This attitude is disgusting and highly unprofessional. Don't know what the problem is but that's not how to treat customers. Cashier is slow and holding the line. At least cashier is nice. read more

Interesting place, but on the fence if I like shopping here. They have a huge variety of things from all over, but the food especially is usually picked over and they must not restock often. And most coupons can't be used on food items, which is weird. I had some helpful customer service interactions, but the last cashier was probably the least helpful person I've encountered any where. She just said "I don't know" to any question and seemed inconvenienced to have to ring people up or help with anything, even though that was literally her job. Just over rude customer service, they can really make or break an experience.... We ended up just leaving without buying anything, and even my young son mentioned she was rude lol. read more

Came into the store to exchange and item. As I was walking around I came across a baking dish. Thought it was practical but yet pretty. So I picked it up! Turns out it was part of something else for $40... Ann the store manager was nice enough to sell it to me for $10!! Win win!!! The cashier was super friendly, win win!! Thanks cost plus!!! read more

I don't come to world market often, but when I do, I always enjoy viewing the wide variety of options they have. It's so fun to shop around looking at all the furniture, dishes, CANDY from around the world, ramen, etc. The workers are extremely warm and welcoming and contribute to the overall pleasurable experience! read more

Looks like a great place from the outside.... Don't bother going inside... it's like a big junk store that sells food/candy goods from foreign countries. YIKES... I only purchased one thing I needed as I was heading towards the airport. Some hand sanitizer. Yes, it was a 1 ounce portable container. Well shame on me for thinking it was going to be a buck or two... Nooooooo!!! $4.32 later ( I should have just not purchase it) . Talk about price gouging!!! Holy crow! Found out later it was actually cheaper to buy at the airport stores! And to make matters worse, it leaked all over the inside of my carryon bag and now I have a $5 bottle of nothing. Save your money... skip this store altogether. read more

This is a fun place to shop for unique deco, gourmet foods and select wines. Traditionally we come to World Market every year for our Christmas stocking stuffers. They always have some fun toys, gifts or foods to put into those sacks. Now though I come here to purchase wines, kitchen tools and gourmet foods. They have a membership program that doesn't cost anything but does give a 20% discount on some items, including wines if you purchase four bottles. read more

What can I say? I totally love World Market. If you're a foodie, love to discover other cultures, this place is for you. Just imagine Pier One having a baby with Central Market. That's what this store is like. Furnishings, jewelry, outdoor furniture, snacks, nibbles, German spaetzle, pastas, hot sauces, flavoring shroud, teas, chocolates...I can go on and on. You will find everything here! I bought an aebleskiver pan here! Those are Danish doughnuts. There is a wall of pans from different countries with different cooking applications. They also have a lovely section of dinner wares, cups and glasses. I was really surprised that you can even get chopsticks here as well as other Asian wares. I'm not going to lie, you are better off getting those at an actual Asian market. As much as I love World Market, it's pretty damn pricey on certain items. If you're into all sorts of ales, funky IPA's, beers and wines, this is a place to be. They also carry little toys and all sorts of play things for everyone. It was great to go through when we were shopping for stocking stuffers. Our favorite section of course is the candy section. Unique selections from all over. My daughter loves the matcha kit kat bars and pocky sticks. Over all, it's a wonderful place to shop. Especially when looking for a gift or something nice for your house. Warning, you will spend some money here! I've never left this place without spend a decent amount. If you sign up for a World Market account, they send coupons and discount codes quite often. I was super excited to find the golden gnome and win a gift card because money is tight this year and I needed some help with Christmas funds. When they gave it to me, they didn't mention at all that it had to be used in the store that day. They watched me walk out with it and didn't say a thing. I came back today to use it and when I went to check out, I was finally told it expired the day I won it. It was pretty embarrassing not being able to afford my stuff and having to ask them to take stuff off. I'm not mad that the rule was you had to use the gift card the day you win it. It's free money so it's a fair rule. What i'm mad about is the fact that the employees didn't mention it had to be used in store that day and watch me walk out with it. Nobody cared to tell me, they honestly seemed annoyed when I brought the golden gnome up to them to redeem the card. read more

Trip 3 Ok we started out bad went to one star due to fishy store practices I didn't speak of before. I will catch you up. went online, purchased an in store pick up light for 250. Was in store shopping and was called by store (odd) that I must come in and cancel online order and order in store. No one has been able to tell me why that is. I think so store gets the sales numbers I don't know. Called asking for clarification why I had to pay for lamp online and then put a deposit in store for same lamp I was 300 into a 250 lamp Kevin the gm or dm who knows assured me it would all be ok and in fact would only charge me 100 for the lamp and trouble Well I waited a week. the bank statement leveled out and I only paid 100 as promised Got lamp home waited the week and half to finish the project open it up and its broken. Not broken as in man they shipped it rough. Broken as in Welds not on the lamp so no qc happened. I was told by Kevin he would call and make sure personally that it was not broken as they all seem to be coming that way. Lie after lie. Did he ask anyone to check it he said yes but it's out of his hands. Great everything is out of everyone's hands after you hang up its about follow through and follow up. I feel like I am a customer he hopes to lose and he has, but my wife has this lamp as the project lamp needed so I will put up with the lies and bad service till she gets it then never NEVER step in a cost plus world market again. I am in alot of homes I will share with my customers so they will not have this experience as well Trip 2. Well the charges where fixed the price was beat but not a reasonable explanation to why it went down the way it did Trip 1. We will never order online from them again I have my light but will wait to put it up till the table is custom made. We've just moved to Texas from Europe, and therefore missing a lot of things from back home. This place is great for us as it has a wide variety of international goods, from food to hardware all reasonably priced-though the PG Tips teabags are a slight joke at $7.99 for a small box. Other than that, this place is my favourite shop so far :) Note: the customer service in this particular store is top notch, which is of course an added bonus. read more

I'm so happy I drove all the way to this location! I wanted a $99 Chloe Foyer Table and they had it in stock, after going to the Richmond Ave and Yale Street locations. I almost ordered it online w/ free shipping and did a rain check w/ a 2 week wait time. I called ahead for them to put it on hold. I didn't want to drive all the way and to be told they didn't have it. I got there and was greeted by cashier (cashier station is right by front door). I told her why I was there and another lady and young man went to get the table. The lady knew it was on hold for me. While she went to get the skew to ring up the table, the cashier, Kate, stated I should register for rewards card online via cell to get the 15% discount, which I did! I was super happy for the additional discount, especially because I want/need to buy a hamper and other storage items. Yay!!!! It totally made my day!!! The young man took the box to my car for me :)! While the other locations were nice, Kate at this location stepped it up a level for me :)! I'll be back, even if it is far for me. read more

Wow, never ever had been in this store, glad I walked in. The selection is surprisingly diverse and the quality of the products is very good. Prices were to my surprise very reasonable and in a few cases a steal. I will return here and often I think. From Japanese soda to Russian beer. Wine glasses to lamps to chairs from around the globe , very cool and hip, stuff for everyone!!!! I walked out with a lot more than I had planned on, but to be very honest, I again found awesome items at very good price, today hey had a 6 pack of pick your own beers for 30% off, not to shabby if you like specialty brews like I do! read more

This store is always another adventure waiting to happen. There are the unique foods, usually catering to specific holiday or seasonal events like st Patrick's day or 'summer' in general. They keep up with the changes very well. Plus it's cool that I can get a outrageously tasty snack, pairing beer and hip new couch all in one visit. I can see the times in my life progressing as a journey through this store, with first the junk food area, followed by their giant alcohol selection and later onto the homegoods, so obviously World Market has appeal to all age groups. And their style is really unique, giving you a well-traveled looking, modern home decor. It used to be the only place we could get choco-fiz soda until HEB recently picked it up. But it's difficult to leave without something, that's for sure. And another note is the client experience, I'll say they are outstanding, they always seem to be around to answer questions and just to greet you in general with a friendly attitude. Have shopped here for decades, well maybe not that long, but their teas, wines, gift wrap, selection of stocking stuffers, Mrs. Meyers soaps, linens, furniture, clocks, cards and stationary including sealing wax are all a fav of mine. Purchased a mix and match lamp, the base was Mexican glass that appeared to be a large champagne bottle and then you buy the shade, it's 3 times the price of a lamp from Home Goods, but happy with the mix and match concept. Super helpful staff. They stopped carrying my favorite scotch/chocolate infused marzipan-will not force me to make it myself, will salivate another year and see if it returns. I almost purchased 2 mirrors from them today to the tune of several hundred dollars, but one of them was already missing substantial paint and appeared to not be the quality I wanted for a foyer, but a professional shopper such as myself picks up on the little things. Try real hard sneaking out of here with something for everyone but yourself, bet you can't do it, those gold earrings from India were screaming my name and now I'm regretting they did not weasel their way into my necessary purchase pile. Absolutely one of my all time favorite stores, ever! I was beyond thrilled to learn they would soon open in Katy. I've shopped at World Market for years purchasing everything under the sun from spices to furniture. They have a wonderful selection of hard to find international teas, coffees, chocolates, candy, etc. This location will certainly not disappoint. It's relatively new so, everything was fully stocked! I really like this particular location and have gotten a lot of kitchenware, kitchen linens, quirky and unusual gifts for friends, and, most importantly wines that have become my favorites. Last Valentines day they were featuring a chocolate wine, and it turned out to be delicious, with an authentic hint of chocolate. Vish, is my go to guy when I want a suggestion for something unusual. He is a good listener and has quickly "gotten" the kind of wines that appeal to me. Also, their candy section is so good and varied. Saturday, I went into the store to purchase my wife a top that she was interested in the previous day (we are not impulse buyers). At checkout, a very tall young man processed my purchased. I asked him that I wanted the hanger the top was hanging on. He said I could not have it. I offered to pay for it, he said it would be a million dollars. I was serious about paying for it, but he was not going to accommodate a customer. I like your store, we enjoy coming to it and we usually buy a lot of things, but this incident was silly if not rude. Love love this store and have many pieces in my home from the store...am a member of their Explorer club and was terribly disappointed when the store close to my home closed a couple years ago. I received a great coupon via email and decided to drive across town to shop at the store in Katy. I made my purchases, presented my coupon and was told that, because the coupon didn't have certain coding on it, they could not scan it and would not honor it. Manager Jason even claimed he had no authority to honor the coupon, insinuating that I must have printed the coupon incorrectly. Called the company's customer service number and was told someone would get back to me in 2-3 days, left an online customer service complaint and then, after a week, the company finally realized their mistake re-sent the coupon to the explorer club members with an apology. Way too little too late, World Market....how about a check for $10 for the coupon you should have honored in the first place....way to run off your customers! Will never shop there again. read more
