The service and time lines are not accurate at all. They told me they were working on my furniture but stoped by just to check in and take a peek and the piece was not even in the store. Per text messages, they led me to believe it was in progress for drying time. I am very dissatisfied with their lack of respect for customer service and especially due to today's outburst from the son of the owners. Unprofessional and also very intimidating toward me. Shocked was I and the other customers who were there also. While I was leaving, one customer told me he was having the same issues. So if you think about having a piece painted or touched up by this store , please remember this post and don't trust them. It's been 3 weeks longer than expected, I spent 700.00 on an item that I can't trust this company to complete much less have an incredible piece of furniture I could brag about and send lots of business to them. First...If you see something in the store I would absolutely recommend buying it. Their selection is wonderful and the workmanship I saw from vendors that sell there is excellent. If you want a custom piece done I would recommend putting on your armor and prepare to hang on for a very bumpy, long ride. Ordered two nightstands May 3 and was told 2-3 weeks. Let them know I wasn't going to be back in town for about six weeks, told that was great and they would be ready. They weren't, which was really ok and not an issue at the time. Weeks turned into months. Oct. 4, told they would deliver to my house since they had a family trip planned. I live north of Dallas, said that wasn't necessary but please deliver to a friend in town that lives in their neighborhood. Assured it would be delivered by October 18. The date came and went with no nightstands (no communication during that time). My friend received a text Nov. 3, saying they were drying and would be ready November 5th. Optional times were given to deliver and crickets. I received a text and picture at 7:19 pm Friday the 7th. Picked up on Saturday. 6 months start to finish for a six week job. The finished product was very nicely done but the attitude, excuses, and lack of communication was unpleasant. Somehow, asking when they might be ready was determined to be aggressive, rude, and hard to deal with. I am quite confident there will be a reply to this about my behavior and "attitude" as she called it. She is entitled to her opinion, I would disagree. I would like to clarify, five star rating for the outside vendors hard work and outstanding artistry that they have provided. The vendors definitely deserve better representation and credit for their merchandise. The finished product arrived 4+ months after purchased and paid for in full. Also, it didn't arrive on the scheduled delivery date as promised and was missing pieces when it finally arrived. Luckily the extremely kind and friendly vendors Laurie & Lou that delivered it returned with the missing pieces the same day and even went out of their way to install them. The interior was just spray-painted in the shop without sanding nor priming beforehand within a couple days instead of hand-painted like I was originally informed. This caused splotches, streaks, debris, mottling and overspray on the exterior of the original vendor Elizabeth's exquisite artwork and beautiful design. The saga continues with her KARENY complete delusion of lies of a reply to my none threatening review, but it ends here and now, my truth has been spoken.. Clap back to this lying bully. This family owned shop negative 5 stars! But who am I to judge, if you don't believe me just read the other reviews or if you dare become another unsatisfied victim. read more

I thought I fell into furniture-heaven right when I walked in the store. They have a small section in the front of the store designated as the clothing boutique. Aside from the clothing (which simply wasn't my style), I wanted to buy literally everything else in the store. The furniture was kept clean and presentable... not like some stores that allow their items collect dust. It wasn't overwhelming nor cluttered. The owner and her son were super nice, helpful, personable and attentive. We've been looking for furniture to fill our empty new home with caution since only one of us is working right now. So discovering this store right now was definitely perfect timing! We purchased a set of 3 drawers for $850 and the cute bamboo shelf thing for $180. Material for all items are super sturdy and definitely worth every penny. They also have delivery service (I think availability and cost depends on distance) but we opted to make 2 trips with 2 cars instead. If you can't tell already...this will not be my last visit! I went yesterday and today (I'm not crazy; I wanted my husband to check out the drawers and make sure he likes them ) and already noticed some new pieces on the floor. So the owners were definitely not lying when they said they have new items all the time. read more

Do not bring kids here. Another review claims the owner has yelled at children, but I personally watched her verbally berate someone right in front of me. He apologized and was trying to leave, but she stopped him to continue her rant. She abruptly cut herself off, told him to "get the fuck out," and began shoving into him with the door to push him out of the store. Again, he was already in the doorway and only still there because she was not done speaking. It was a very uncomfortable, tense situation that I believe could have been handled with far more tact. I will never go back there. Someone that hateful and impatient should not be in such a public position. read more

There is no excuse for this, and they have continued to show now regard for my personal information. Do not trust this business with your personal information. We placed an order for custom paint of a set of nightstands with matching dresser that was to be completed by 6/15. We paid a non-refundable deposit. After 6/15 when I had not heard anything, I contacted to find out when I should expect it to be done. I was told there was a paint shortage and would be done by the end of the month. After hearing nothing, I contacted again on July 4 for an update. We scheduled delivery for July 15. Only July 14 there was a leak in their storage unit and I was contacted because the dresser was ruined. I was offered a nicer dresser to replace it, which I accepted. I was told the nightstands were complete and the new dresser would be done in a few days. After 1 week and no contact, I asked when it should be done. I was told the dresser was bleeding through, but it would be no more than a week to fix and be ready. After another week and not hearing anything, I asked if it was ready, and if not I asked for a refund. It is more than a month and a half after the furniture was supposed to be done and it is no longer a matching set. I have never been contacted after the dates they say it should be done. I was given multiple excuses for why it is not complete after reaching out. Now I assume they will not complete the order or give a refund after a phone call where I was "insulting" by saying that I wanted pictures before paying the final balance because I didn't believe the furniture was actually done this time and hung up on. read more

This company STOLE $450 from my daughter. In April, she paid a $450 deposit for a 3 piece bedroom set to be painted. It was due early June. Mid June passed - no word. Then mid July comes by - and they claim the furniture has been damaged and offer us a substitute on 1 piece (no longer a set - but they are being difficult, so we say yes). IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE READY IN DAYS. Two weeks later - still no furniture. And a nasty text to my daughter for asking where her furniture is. She then asks for a refund - because they have no furniture to deliver her - and they say NOPE and refuse to give back the refund. THIEVES! Editing to add that they doxxed my daughter for posting a bad review on Facebook. Put her name, address and phone number in their reply to the review. You have been warned about doing business with these people. read more

This is by far my fave store to shop for Amazing unique, one of a kind pieces. Great Saturday experience to walk through and see everything. They get new items weekly so it's always changing. They have done many custom pieces for me and my business and the quality is amazing. I would highly recommend them if you have a piece of furniture you are wanting to update. They will help you select the color and finish that suits you best and always have things completed on a timely basis. Definitely 5 stars! read more

I found a dresser and a nightstand set on Facebook and I made sure to bring a truck and the staff was super helpful and welcoming they helped me carry the items onto the truck. I just wish I needed to decorate my house more they had a lot of gorgeous French farm house and French province type furniture will definitely come again. read more

Went to the store this afternoon after seeing a piece I was interested in on fb. At the store it was as if I wasn't there. Three people were chatting at the register and continued as I walked the perimeter of the store. So I headed over to KTX Home, where I was not only greeted upon entering but the store person engaged in conversation. I commented on the Vintage Back Roads fb page but the comment was removed. Please I do not want my post to be taken as negative. I just want to share what happened to me and help you so that my mistake is not repeated. When dropping off a piece to be painted we discussed what was going to be done. We agreed and I paid half the cost of the work. When checking up on my item after many weeks the work was not done as agreed. After a few discussion the job was done to my satisfaction. But it caused hurt feelings on both parties. So again what ever you want done to your piece get it in writing and keep up with your receipt. Verbal is not enough!! I am very pleased with the work done to my pieces. This place has some awesome stuff! Super helpful staff. I ended up with a table and chalk paint. Thought I'd try to pretty up some of my old furniture. The only downside is that everything is very similar in style and colors which happened to be exactly what was looking for. read more

I get my favorite clay based paints and finishes here. They're approach to vintage is a more environmentally friendly, naturally beautiful one which for me, makes vintage pieces repurposed in a fresh & fun way at the same time LOL! No VOC's in the products means I can paint inside my home and not have to deal with fumes. Super fun looking at everyone's creations, there is always so much to look at.
