We all have seen it on TV: the elderly person being lifted out of their recliner with their remote control. If you have lower body or upper body weakness, standing up from that chair can be a challenge. Having independence is Important especially as we get older. and Furniture Queen has a solid selection and the customer service was available. a great price, good selection, and delivery that was on time the person setting up the chair was punctual and I will definitely use them in the future. On Wednesday morning 12/27/2023 I went in this store where two people were sitting at a desk. I'm not going to call them salespeople because me and my daughter walked in they looked at us never said good morning, never got up to assist us. We walked around in the store waiting for help of course that never happened. As we approached the door to leave they looked at us like we had a plaque and not even said good bye. We traveled from a neighboring state to furnish a home after we researched furniture stores in the area. That was humiliating. I know good help is hard to find at this day and age, but please find new help. NEVER TO RETURN!!! read more

Furniture Queen refused to help us in any other way. No credit, no replacement, nothing. They then referred us to Montage Furniture Services, the furniture insurance company that we so happened to purchased insurance from to help us "replace" the couch. Of course this process takes ages, especially around the holidays. The tech inspected the sofa and showed us the report that he wrote up, he recommended that the couch be replaced. We received a call today from Montage, that they were sending a tech out to "reinforce" the couch. Not replace. And then proceeded to tell us the report said reinforce when the tech showed us to our faces that the report said replace! Unbelievable. My husband and I have called Furniture Queen and Montage repeatedly to no avail and this has caused us such frustration. We spent over $1,000 to have a couch that broke in less than a year?!? Ordered furniture on 7/4/2020 and have still not received all of my sectional. I have had 3 different delivery dates scheduled and changed that I had to call and find out it had been changed on my own. No one has ever contacted me to inform me that the delivery date had been changed. First "delivery" date 8/21, second "delivery" date 9/23, now third "scheduled delivery" date 10/10. I am sure I will have to call on this day to find out that the date has been changed AGAIN. The excuse I keep getting is that the manufacturer keeps pushing it back. However I didn't give the manufacturer my money and it should be up to FURNITURE QUEEN to keep me updated on the status and not my job! ON TOP OF THAT, they had part of my sectional delivered on 8/26 and the delivery "crew" apparently couldn't handle getting the couch to the second floor of my home and in the process put a whole in my hallway wall and tore off the drywall on the corner. I paid $85 for delivery and assembly of this furniture and now have to pay the cost to repair the damages caused by their team. We cannot say enough about the OUTSTANDING customer service we received from Ms. Jody, the manager, and Ms. Paula, who is in charge of the delivery! Love the prices here; they're unbeatable! We bought a table and sofa from Furniture Queen. Taylor was very sweet in helping us find exactly what we needed. We did not opt to pay for assembly of the table but did have that and the sofa delivered. The first sofa was scratched upon arrival, and the second sofa didn't make it out of the warehouse because it was also damaged. But Ms. Jody and Paula were super caring, attentive and helpful, which made all the difference! Ordered Furniture on 8/21, originally was told that my order was going to be delivered Mid-September, then I got a call that my delivery was delayed til 10/01. Now that the date is approaching they tell me that my rails to the bed frame are delayed until 10/29 but they'll sub them for a different color rail until my actual rails get in but yet the delivery date gets postponed to 10/10, but oh wait I'm a working person and even though I'm paying for delivery I don't get to choose what time my delivery is and the best they give me now is 10/03 and I was supposed to be going out of town and all I want is my furniture. So if you're the type of person that wants to see and feel the material of the piece/set you're about to invest on, you may or may not find what you're looking for. I decided ordering a brand new set from Amazon for $1K and just having it delivered in Houston made more sense...until she told me her new apartment was on the 3rd floor....and no elevators! With the $1k price tag in mind, I scoured the internet for a Houston funiture store that delivered AND installed (came across a few that did not do installations). Enter FURNITURE QUEEN! After checking out their website, I gave them a call and spoke with Karlene. She answered all my questions and took it upon herself to make sure I understood what all was included in the set I was ordering (fyi..just don't go by the pictures..view the set details which does specify what is/is not included). Delivery and installation costs only covered up to 2nd floor access so I had to pay a little extra for her 3rd floor apartment. Shortly after arriving to her new apartment (after our two day road trip), I received a call from Furniture Queen saying they were en route. Spencer and Kevin showed up within the hour and beast-mode'ed 3 flights of stairs and the installation/placement of the 6-piece set in 30 minutes! Well worth the extra costs! I'm sure my back would share my sentiments. At some point I'm sure I will be getting that call saying "Dad, I need a ______ for my apartment". The good news is I already know who to call!! Great prices, good customer service everyone one greeted me both times I visited the store . Second time I came I purchased the emily set and a L shape sofa ... directions on the sofa were complicated , it was a struggle to add the legs , and the Emily set doesn't require a box spring wish I wish I was informed of that . There was a few flaws on the dresser but Nothing to make a fuss about . (Pillows come with the couch) .... my queen mattress is too small for the Emily queen set so there is a gap in the back by the head board ! read more

I have been a faithful customer of Furniture Queen but this last purchase and their policies is making it very difficult for me to recommend or even consider them for my new purchase. My platform ended up being so big for the king size mattres. I sent them pictures and spoke over the phone. The bed platform size was way big and due to safety hazard I have no choice but to return and now they are charging me 20% restocking fees. Whenever someone moved to Houston or bought a new home I had always told them about Furniture Queen and friend and families and myself were very satisfied but not anymore as their policies lately sucks. They neither allow exchange nor returns. I lost our delivery and 20% for this reason. read more

I was a loyal customer until today. My husband and I walked into the store and it was as if we were invisible. We walked around for 15 minutes and saw 3-4 sales people sitting at their desks, only one assisting a customer. The one salesperson we thought would greet us and provide assistance when free, just passed us up and not one word. Obviously a lot has changed since our last few purchases. I was first introduced to Furniture Queen through a Yelp search. Don't live in Katy, so I would have to be lost or looking for something else to pass by it. The online inventory makes it seem as though this place has a lot of selection. In person, you know that is not the case. It was explained to me that the showroom is small to keep down costs. Okay, but how is it that you don't communicate discontinued or unavailable products through your website since it seems to be your main attraction? In fact, the building displays FurnitureQueen.com. If you're drawing customers in through your website, you have to keep it updated. My second issue: being greeted by several individuals at one time. We call them vultures. Since the store is made of glass, I could see several staff members waiting at the doors--no pacing in front of the door for customers. I decided to slow my pace down and let some other customers enter the establishment first before I was pounced on. My plan worked because the guy left near the door was at his desk and was a little more laid back. He showed me the items online that I was looking for, but hello, I've already been online. He finally got up from his desk and showed me the products he had in stock. Some were not completely assembled; all I saw was the headboard. Found out also that the $399 bed and mattress set does not include a box spring, which is okay only if you have metal slacks for the bed, which these beds do not. Therefore, this is not really a deal if you don't have a box spring already. Additionally, the $100 for delivery to my side of town was an additional costs that would make a purchase at this place a no go. Beyond that, the biggest concern would be not receiving my purchase until a month later. NO WAY would I pay $500 plus bucks for merchandise I wouldn't enjoy until a month later. Too many unknown variables to make a purchase here. Even if I was a gambling woman, I'd probably fold with a hand like this. read more

It was worth the trip from out of town to get our dining set - we just saw it not only once but twice at different friend's home and loved it. So word of mouth made us do the 1h30 trip, the only disadvantage being their (reasonable) unabilty of the store to deliver that far. But having a van large enough facilitated transportation and we ran with the assembly job. Alas, the table came with a bad bump, corner damage. Irritating, but the customer service was satisfactory in procuring another table that was just fine & nice. So it meant yet another trip for the swap, which was made pretty quickly, but after that we are enjoying the new set. Assembly not difficul at all, and the quality & look of the set are pretty much was I wanted, at a very good price point. I would recommed business with them, despite the tiny showroom. read more

I just moved from a 1 bedroom + Loft condo into a 3 bedroom house. So I definitely needed more furniture. I didn't like the prices at the popular furniture stores in Houston. I had been browsing Furniture Queen's website for a while and liked the reviews and prices. I didn't feel like driving out to Katy because I had so much to do. I took a chance and ordered over the phone based on some pieces I liked on their website. This was a huge risk since usually I like to test the furniture out in the store before purchasing. The sales associate was extremely polite and not pushy at all. She just went with what I asked for and calculated everything for me. It was so smooth and quick that I was nervous. This can't be going this well. LOL! When the furniture arrived, the delivery men did a great job. They called me an hour before arrival so I was able to leave work and meet them at my house. They worked hard and got everything assembled and placed as needed. I got a sofa, two living room chairs, dining set and queen bed. Everything looked better than the photos!!! Really great quality. The chairs were way better than I expected. I only paid $250 each for them so I didn't expect such a great quality but was VERY surprised! I will be using Furniture Queen for my future purchases as well! I don't know how they keep the prices so low - but I certainly hope they can keep it up!! read more

This place is small and quaint. As far as shopping for bedroom sets, this small furniture in Katy has the best prices. We looked online and decided to go visit their location to see the quality because when I saw the prices I questioned the quality. My husband and I were surprised to see that the quality was just as nice as the several furniture stores we had already visited. I would have given them 5 stars if they would have honored the Yelp Check In discount that was offered, if they would have had the 6-Piece Bedroom Set we were interested that we seen online, which would have been fine if they didn't if all sales weren't final and delivery didn't take 2 months. Without seeing and feeling the bedroom set that we wanted, and knowing if we ordered it we didn't have the option to return it if we didn't like it as much as we did online, was the only reason why we did not purchase the bedroom set we were excited about seeing online. read more

Worst experience ever, don't get fooled by the sales people. They do not explain their store terms clearly in the beginning. Once you place your order there is no way you can change your mind if you do so or wish to return an item then you have to pay 20% . All of their items are overpriced. You can find all of their items in other stores or even purchase them directly from the brand website for 15-35% less and with much cheaper delivery. This place is like a trap once you pay you cannot change or return anything without paying 20%. Pls do your research before buying from this place. read more

We came to buy a mattress , had a truck to take it home the same day and all we needed was plastic for the mattress that was being sold to us and we were told that they didn't have any plastic for us , no one cared to help solve the problem , nothing. Didn't have anything special to write home about. So I bought more furniture coz why not. The prices are good and nicely designed. She promised me that my furniture will be delivered on Wednesday the 3rd! I paid for everything and left. Monday, I called the store to check to see what time the delivery will be made as I got looped into a meeting on that day. Lady I spoke to said she will note on my order my preferred time slots. Perfect! 2hrs later, I get a call from Jennifer, saying that one piece of furniture will not be received till Wednesday. I'm like, aaand? My order was to be delivered on Wednesday, so bring them together. She said can't but can deliver on Friday. I'm like I was promised on Wednesday and I already got rid of my previous furniture. She says hold on then heads to place me on hold, not telling me what the hold is for. Customer service huh? So a few minutes later, manager John gets on the phone. I'm like what in the world is going on. So he asks me what seems to be the problem. I'm like I was on the phone with Jennifer and now you. He says she transferred me to him. I'm like ooook... So she didn't tell you what's going on? He says yes she did. So why does he want me to repeat it over? Beyond me! So he says that she told me that they had the the furniture in stock and they didn't. I get it. So I say since y'all will receive it on Wednesday, have it delivered on Thursday since it wasn't my fault that they didn't have it in stock. He told me ITS NOT HIS FAULT EITHER!!! Terrible terrible experience!!! I saw a dining room set in the store and put in an order. Waited a week for it to be delivered. When the delivery guys came, they set up a chair and I told them that it was the wrong color. They called the store and manager kept on saying it was correct item even though the item codes on the boxes did not match my invoice. We took chairs into the store and put it up against the display and what do you know, completely different set. Some guy who works there name Charles was COMPLETELY RUDE the entire time and even told me to get out of the store basically. They ended up giving me the chairs in the store at a small discount but the table is WAY different color than what I ordered. Turns out the display was actually discontinued. Unfortunately I visited this place around January of 2016 Let's start with the sales people they were very rude gave me so much hassle but on top of that after talking to the manager about these problems he didn't even seem to be there like he was drunk or on drugs. I needed to move and I was basically starting over when it came to furniture. I was going home to my old place and decided to stop here to see what they had after I was approved for a credit line online. I was able to get a living room set in a bundle at a great price, and I can pay it off in 100 days same as cash! That's great! I did this 2 months ahead of the time that I needed it delivered. I tell them that I needed everything delivered that morning because I had to work that afternoon. They tell me no problem they can have everything setup by noon. The day before delivery, I receive an email stating that I am #7 on the delivery list for that day!‍‍‍ What happened to before noon?????? So I had to find someone to come and seat at my place until 4, which is when they came!!! My problem is if you can't do something, or you don't know, don't tell the customer what you think they want to hear just to get a sale. Also, I paid to have everything set up, and for the boxes to be taken with them when they delivered. My memory foam mattress was still in the box when I got home. Which means that I had to take it out, and dispose of the box it came in myself. Also the rug for my living room was left the same way. So I walked into this place and saw the bed I wanted immediately. Then as I continue walking in I saw more beds I wanted... I really became indecisive and didn't know which bed I wanted. Even though I was intrigued by the furniture I didn't like the fact that all the representatives were busy and there was no one on the floor to actually assist the customers. I had questions and none of them got answered.. I continue to wait to see if anyone would come greet me but no one ever did. I continue walking around and admire a lot of the other furniture in the store. This place has nice items for a great price. Although I wasn't fascinated with their customer service I will definitely go back to get the bed that I want ...well that's if I don't find it anywhere else first. Furniture Queen in Katy is so awesome! I purchased my furniture back in August of 2017. It was delivered on 09/20, and I was absolutely thrilled. My friend told me about this place after he purchased his furniture from here. I moved here with absolutely nothing. Gave away or sold all of my furniture. I was able to furnish my entire apartment with every piece of furniture I wanted for an unbeatable price. The staff here is amazing. Shortly after getting my furniture I discover the back part to my couch was messed up, I called them. They came out and assessed and told me it would be replaced immediately at no cost to me. It took a while due to some mixups to fix it, but I'm writing this now because it was finally fixed today and I have no complaints. They are all such amazing people.
