I stop here whenever my wife has an appointment at Methodist Hospital. It's only a mile away. I come to Ollie's for their books. I am an avid reader and no one can beat their prices if you find a book; which I always do. This location cares for their book section unlike most other Ollie's. Today I bought two hardcover books for $10!!! I will start reading as I wait for my wife. I definitely will be back!! read more

Having spent so much time in NYC over the years, I've rarely been privy (#1) to retail chains like Ollie's, which is ginormous compared to all discount stores (#2) I've ever seen in my life. A "bargain outlet" with 500+ locations across 3 dozen states, they have massive inventory that covers everything from mattresses to children's books. If Costco and Dollar Tree had a baby, it would be named Ollie's. I hate to generalize by saying they have everything, but it's really hard to suggest that they don't. There's appliances, apparel, sporting equipment, toiletries, electronics, office supplies, storage supplies, shoes, sporting gear, pet supplies, home decor, etc. It's really easy to get lost in everything they have. However, calling in might be an issue as their customer service is very spotty at best. The website isn't the most reliable in confirming inventory, so perusing in person is usually ideal. At the end of the day, affordable stuff that doesn't feel cheap even when it is. More importantly, I've scored some impressive deals and almost everything was of good-to-great quality. "Good stuff cheap" happens to be their slogan and is a motto I can certainly live by whenever I shop here. ____________ (#1) aka "missing out" (#2) Most of the country has Dollar Tree. NYC has Chinese-owned 99 cent stores. My photos: https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/ollies-bargain-outlet-katy?userid=ysCBsXWPB-LAiewVS3jZfQ read more

I wanted to recognize Lizette at Ollie's for the outstanding customer service she provided. From the moment I walked in, she was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind. She went out of her way to help, answered my questions with a smile, and made the whole shopping experience enjoyable. It's not often you come across someone who is both professional and truly cares about customers. Lizette's positive attitude and willingness to help really stood out, and she's exactly the kind of employee every business hopes to have. I hope her hard work and dedication are recognized because she definitely made a lasting impression. Thank you, Lizette! read more

They don't call it the bargain outlet for nothing! It was my first time here, and I was thoroughly surprised by the things they carried. It's as if Big Lots and Popshelf had a baby. The prices will shock you even more than the merchandise. Auto Toys Clothes/shoes Kitchen Home decor Garden Linens Appliances And so much more I only grabbed a few items, but I'll definitely be back! read more

Great prices!!! And lots to shop for. I go the The Lake Jackson store and it is usually clean and neat.

Very nice. Give it a try. You might like it. They have all kinds of things at a much lower price

This place is the best. Just the best. I love the fact that they have so many great buys at wonderful prices. I have found some cool books at great deals, I have found some great snacks at great prices, and the best, yet, is shampoo and conditioner, every day items that you need at great prices. They have an amazing stuff for your animals as far as snacks and leashes and toys and beds and everything else in between. They also sell jackets and sheets and chairs and patio stuff and everything else you need for your home, at bargain prices. I'll personally love shopping here and it is a true addiction. They make so many items affordable. You can also get spices and cereal and other food items that you need every day, but at affordable prices. So take my word for it, Ollies is amazing and you will enjoy every moment of your shopping experience there. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, and again, when you were greeted with a smile and a how are you doing, it makes your shopping experience so much better . read more

Fire half of those employees, they're rude, miserable. I mean sweet jesus you can see how miserable they are and they're spreading it around. Not the customers fault that they hate working there. The store is always dirty, cluttered, things thrown everywhere. Does anyone ever clean this store?? You got expired food, open food, not organized at all! read more

This store use to be so clean and organized. Now it's just a big mess. The employees all hate working there and it's just depressing to go in there anymore. Their prices even seem to have gone up. I was looking forward to Christmas shopping there but I think I will avoid it this year. So disappointed. read more

I found out about Ollies after seeing one of my Yelp friends check in here. I didn't know they had opened so I wanted to stop by and see what kind of deals they have. They are located where a Stein Mart used to be off N. Fry Rd. It's a good place to pick up deals that was food items, home items, storage items, rugs towels, etc. I ended up picking up a deal on some hangers because we could always use hangers at home. It was a quick visit just to kind of see what they had. I will probably go back with a more detailed list in the near future. read more

The store was clean and organized. They had a lot of good stuff with good prices. My wife loved the book dept it had some really good books for kids and adults.they had a lot of toys some toys I never knew existed. They had a big kitchen area I was impressed with. The prices were really good, not great but they were good. They had a lot of electronic cooking stuff like crockpots air, fryers, and stuff like that so I was impressed with that.. They had an automotive department that had quite a bit in there from cleaners wiper blades. If you know the size wiper blade, you can get a good deal. They're about seven dollars cheaper than buying them at the store because they did not have a catalog to look up what size you need for your car you need to know the size before you go in there and they had rain X wiper blades and those are about 18 $20 each . Store deserves a look I've never been in one before I would go back check it out. read more

Bargain on Bargain with a lot to choose from. My brain went into overload walking in this place. From books, gardening, kitchen to rugs you name it you can find it. It located on Fry road in in the strip mall with Hobby Lobby and Planet fitness. It's in the old Stein Mart building so there is pretty good spacing in there. My 1st trip I just went down every aisle to get a lay of the land. I ended walking out with the fake green rug to put on my balcony for $15. They also have a program where the money you spend going towards point for a coupon. I can see myself making another trip. read more

Great selection of close out items. Great prices on things like candy, cookies, kitchen pantry items and cookware. Be careful of electronics; a lot of them are cheaply made and may not work. Generous return policy. read more

I had a bad experiance recently, and I left a review of that experience, however, as soon as the message was received, the manager of the store reached out to me and apologized and fixing the situation, in my 36 years this is the first time that I've ever had that kind of experience to the point of having to make a complaint about an employee. I've never done that up until now, and I know I'm not the only one who has had issues with this employee, but I felt like it would be wrong if I left the bad review up without also telling the good and how it was fixed read more

First time visiting a location in Houston. These stores are about 30 minutes away from my home. It reminds me of a big lots but it also sells books. The store is huge cleaned and well stocked. They have a little of everything from car accessories to towels to body wash. Purchased hangers 50 count for 9.99 velvet non slip, bath sheet towels for 7 and a few books. It was worth the drive when I had some time to kill. read more

Good stuff cheap. Make sure it works and you keep your receipt. They allow returns up to 30 days.
