Kids had a blast playing at the kids zone while we shopped and then getting to help try out & pick out a couch

We came in today to look for a bed and left disappointed with laws being violated for people with disabilities. We were ready to purchase today too but they have lost our business. The business has gone from one extreme to the next on the playground. While we appreciate the option, you can't discriminate needs of a young medical child who is old enough to go in there. Just a parent request to sit in the area to monitor the playing of the child was denied while the other parent was shopping in the store. We were told by an employee that they have made exceptions for other children with special needs for parents to go in to the playground. The person who told us no said they don't want other parents seeing a parent in there and the wanting to go inside the area too. The business has one person staffed at the desk so her attention is half the time dealing with in/out so she can't watch the children playing in the area (her back at the desk). We saw a boy inappropriately touching himself lying on a bed, no parent in sight, but they don't want to let me also monitor my special medical needs child? We left with a crying child. No purchase happened today and won't in the future. They have forever lost our business and respect. Solution - Put chairs outside the windows where the strollers are located and move the strollers. Parents aren't "inside" but can easily view children and jump up quickly if assistance is needed. read more

We purchased a lift recliner for me to use because I was having major back surgery and required a chair to enable me to be able to get up easily. I found that the chair was too slippery and a couple of times found myself slipping out of it while trying to get up. I contacted them online to see if they could exchange it for one not so slippery. The bot that replied to my inquiry said they only had a 7 day exchange program. The chair has hardly been used because of my fear of injuring myself further after my surgery. The man who sold the chair didn't say anything about a 7 day exchange policy, and neither did the people who delivered the chair. The man who sold the chair said it was leather, but I have a feeling that it pleather or vegetable leather. read more

So glad I found living spaces! They have so many modern options for furniture at a reasonable price! It is not super cheap and not super expensive, but right in the middle. They also have an option for their "universal" items to customize them with the fabric you want, so if you want a specific color or texture of fabric on a specific piece, they can custom make it for you! This makes the furniture even more special and makes it feel more high end since it made to order just for you! We ordered the Mayes swivel cuddler and it is very comfy so far! We custom made ours so it did take about 3 weeks to come in, but it was made with the durable fabric we chose in the color we chose, so it was worth the wait! The only downside is that since it swivels, if you sit on one side of the chair, it does kind of tip over a bit. Other than that, it's a great chair and makes a great addition to our living room! Overall, I'd recommend living spaces any day for modern/customizable furniture options! They also have an outlet location in the humble area, which doesn't really seem to have Any additional discounts or deals at all. It is basically the same as the Katy location but it has a few different items on the floor. They also don't really have sales for holidays like Memorial Day or the 4th of July, besides their financing options. They do offer financing options, but it is through a store credit card, so we didn't opt in to do financing. I'm only giving them 3 stars, because I wish our swivel cuddler was a bit more stable like it felt in the store. read more

Be a returning Living Spaces customer for some months. But something just happened and made me deeply consider if I would ever shop there anymore. I live in Sugarland TX and I went to the store in Katy TX (a good 35/40 mins drive) to shop around and since it was a mega store with showrooms etc. I purchased a tempur pedic mattress and a tempur pedic mattress protector in early November. A mattress and a PILLOW were delivered instead. The delivery guys made me signed off and deal with the store later. On Nov 24 Sunday, I went to the Katy store again. Planned to shop for more items, and to get mattress protector by returning the pillow. Spending more than an hour, the cashier told me to keep the pillow when it shall not be there at all. They handed me the pillow, told me that they would sort it out internally and I should have the mattress delivered to me soon. So I made a purchase of some other items, and walked away with the pillow that they handed me. I received NO update whatsoever regardless tons of follow ups I've been sending to the webhelp email as well as the email address that they claimed to be a direct mailbox to the Katy store. I even called the customer service line but after some minutes, the guy on the phone told me that he couldn't sort things out over the phone and I had to go to the store to sort it out. I made a trip again to the Katy store which is quite a long drive from Sugarland, again last night on Saturday. The frontdesk people sent me to the cashier, and after briefly describing what brought me there, the cashier (later she claimed she was the supervisor) told me that the tempur pedic mattress protector is out of stock and I can pick a replacement. I went to the bedroom section and saw the same salesmen that placed the order, and the some other salesmen there as well and found out that it is indeed out of stock, and then recommended me to take another one (seems to be a downgrade) but I was fine with their recommendation overall. They then packed that item and walked me to the cashier. The cashier tried to do some work in the system and after a while, she told me that I had to bring back the pillow in order to do an exchange, or to pay for the mattress protector now in order to take that home today. I asked if they can schedule a delivery in the next few days and they can take the pillow back when they send me the mattress protector. She said they don't send the items from TX and it will take two weeks to deliver. She said she was trying her best to help but the company policy preventing her doing so. She didn't even ask me what date of the delivery if I would be available . Instead, just handed me with the invoice by scheduling it with the "earliest" slot available. Living spaces, HOW come it is my problem to make a second trip to return an item that you sent me incorrectly at the first place? What a joke about customer service? The cashier or supervisor whoever at the store failed to provide proper customer service by having an attitude saying that it is not their fault and made me feel like it is my fault to make purchases there. Also, I was told that the item is not sent from Katy and would take two weeks to deliver. I am sure the item can be delivered from Katy when the item was IN FRONT OF ME that there are delivery trucks around. Lastly, poor communication since the email databases are either not monitored, or Living Spaces chose to ignore my emails. To me, that supervisor knew that the tempur pedic mattress protector is out of stock when I walked to her. Then why no one emailed me or called me telling me that two weeks ago, or even last week? All these show Living Spaces supervisors were not trying to help the customers and that's marjor. To whom read the whole story here, I appreciate your patience and please think deeply before making a purchase with Living Spaces. I am not the only one experiencing something similar and you are welcome to look up some other reviews. If you're thinking about shopping at Living Spaces, let me save you the trouble: don't. Just don't. We came into Living Spaces on May 17 and placed an order for over $4,000 worth of furniture. That included a couch, dining table, four dining chairs, and an accent chair. We explained to the team that I was moving to Dallas soon, and although we didn't have an apartment yet, we were trying to be proactive and get our furniture early. The employees told us no problem. Just come back about 20 days before the move with the final address and they'd take care of everything. We came back multiple times after that, at least four visits, and bought even more furniture. By this point, we had the Dallas address and made it extremely clear that everything needed to be delivered there. We reminded them again and again. On June 25, we were told our notes reflected the change and that Dallas was the delivery location. Then, 20 days before my move (just like they instructed), I called to schedule the delivery and give them the final address. What did they say? That I couldn't change anything over the phone and had to come in person. Annoying, but fine. I go in person and then get told the furniture was already sent to Houston and that they won't ship it to Dallas. We now have a massive couch, dining table, four chairs, and an accent chair sitting in the wrong city, and Living Spaces has washed their hands of the entire situation. Now it's on us to figure out how to rent a huge U-Haul, load everything up, and drive it across Texas. No assistance. No apology. No solution. Just a "sorry, nothing we can do." They don't know if we have the means to move this stuff. They don't know what kind of vehicles we have. They simply do not care. We trusted this company to help us through a very common situation and they completely failed. The only saving grace was a salesperson named Omar. He was amazing. Truly helpful, kind, and respectful. He tried his best to help us and went above and beyond, even when the rest of the company clearly had no interest in doing so. Omar deserves five stars. Living Spaces as a company? Zero. If you're considering shopping here, don't let the clean showrooms and friendly sales pitch fool you. The employees will tell you what you want to hear, then completely abandon you when it matters most. For a $4,000 purchase, I expected professionalism, honesty, and follow-through. The Kid Spaces employee single handedly killed any chance of us buying furniture there. With many kids and parents waiting in line, she rudely tells my wife that no parents are allowed inside. When just before us, two parents were allowed to go inside. Then she refuses to let us in and explain why some parents are allowed in and others are not. Is she so almighty that she gets to decide which parents are allowed inside? She refused to give us her name. To all other parents: DO NOT take you kids to that play area! It's obviously unsafe and should be closed. I've already taken this issue to the BBB and city safety board to investigate their play area. I did speak to a store manager and they didn't really care, just blew us off. Not the kind of customer service you want if you actually buy something. This place has some serious inventory issues to work out. I bought a bed from them, paid for delivery and was given a date only to be told later that the item was permanently out of stock. I decided to give them a second chance a few months later and the exact same thing happened. I bought a dresser and noticed a few days later that my money had been refunded without any notice. When I called customer service they told me that the item was also discontinued and wouldn't be restocked. Extremely disappointed with Living Spaces delivery and customer service. Second time customer, likely the last. Ordered an adjustable bed and frame in-store for delivery a week later. On delivery day, the 2-hour window passed with no delivery. When I called support, they said they couldn't find the items in the warehouse. No one reached out about the failed delivery, I had to find out via my phone call. I was left without a bed to sleep on because I had already taken apart my old one. They didn't provide a new delivery date and let me know there was nothing they could do on the phone. I went to the store to sort it out and was able to get the bed frame delivered that night after expressing that I would not be leaving without a bed to sleep on. But almost 3 weeks later, I'm still waiting for the complete order. And get this - the customer service gentleman told me that since it was "the warehouse's f*** up" I'd have to contact the warehouse separately to complain! They also have a nice cheap little bar with cheap drinks and appetizers, you can walk around the store with a glass of wine. There is a nice variety of options from cheaper to higher cost. My experience with Living Spaces has been terrible--by far the worst I've ever had! After several attempts to reach out about an item I paid for that wasn't delivered, I was informed the day before delivery that my only option was to pick it up. Despite multiple attempts to reach the store, all I could get was a 1-877 number that completely ignores the customer's concerns, rushes you off the phone, and promises that the store will contact you--which never happens. The sales associate that completed my transaction checked the warehouse inventory and assured me there were several mirrors in stock, and that I would receive a new one. However, when customer service reached out to inform me about the delivery, they told me my order was for pickup. How could my order be for pickup when customer service initially called me to arrange delivery? Now they're telling me that the item was sold "as is" and was a "floor item," but it wasn't discounted or sold to me as a final sale! After I received the call the day before delivery, I went to the store because I never received a call back. When I got there, I was informed that the mirror on display--which I was told was now mine because it was the only one left--had smudges, scratches, and fingerprints all over it. It looked like kids had licked it! Gross! Why would an item that was sold "as is" still be on display and not wrapped up? I understand the no-pressure, no-commission approach, but if you're in sales of any kind, you should at least have basic social skills. When their contract delivery company delivered our new dining room table and hutch, the delivery team cut a large gash in the vinyl flooring of our 2 week old brand new home. Living Spaces Katy, nor their contact delivery company will accept responsibility for any damages incurred. Even though the delivery team put down floor protectors for the table, their stand is that it is the responsibility of the homeowner to provide floor protection. We paid extra for "white glove" delivery service. What we got was a damaged floor with management of Living Spaces not caring , nor the delivery company caring less about the damage. We placed it in our bedroom and after waking the next morning I said to my husband that there was a really bad smell in the bedroom. After illuminating everything else we decided to remove the rug and put it in the garage. Yes definitely the rug. Spoke to living spaces who told me they will come clean it at my expense. Ehat a complete joke. I told the lady I would like to speak with the manager. She came back and told me her manager said I could come in store to talk to him but he was going to tell me the same thing. The stinky brand new rug is now in the trash as I'm not having a smelly garage now. Will never spend another dime in Living spaces. Initially, I rated living spaces 5 stars from a customer service standpoint. We were very well taken care of and thought that the bar and kids play space was a very nice touch. However, we purchased a nearly $5,000 couch and when it arrived, the back was ripped and the couch had stains. Understandable that things happen in transit and they did fix it within a week. Moving on to about a month in. All of the back pillows started to come apart. Since then we have been going back and forth for months since we are still under the one year warranty, which means they are supposed to send new ones. MONTHS. We received two that were the wrong item out of 6. Every time we call we either can't reach the person handling our case or they say they will take care of it, or they need additional pictures which we've sent for, again, MONTHS. Lesson learned. A high price tag doesn't always mean quality and unfortunately they don't seem to stand by their products. This is not to mention we chose the fabric that "repels stains" which it absolutely does not. Do not fall for that. Overall, we are happy with the couch, however, we were very misled on the product and the warranty is trash. read more

This place is great but isn't without its quirks. First the pros - love that there is a lot of room to walk around and look. Some furniture places have you squeezing in trying to get a good look at that couch they want you to buy but you can barely see it over the furniture they pile in. They have a ton of extras including a kids area and a bar(!!). They apparently don't work on commission so that is supposed to make the sales people less aggressive. The shipping is fast and the prices are incredible. The store was super clean and inviting. The delivery and setup was so great too. They have a huge selection of couches and seating (and other furniture) in so many different styles. Now, the cons. The couch we ordered was SIGNIFICANTLY different in firmness when it was delivered. It has since softened up a bit but nowhere near the store couch. I was anticipating a slightly different experience since the sales people weren't on commission. We had a sales person approach us, we asked some questions about a couch, and said we were going to look around a bit more. The sales person followed us all over the whole store from a short distance and kept stopping us to ask if we were ready to purchase. It felt like a commissioned sale and it was a bit awkward. I would have felt very pressured to buy if I wasn't already planning to purchase the couch. Overall I'll probably go back for reasonably priced furniture with the awareness that the firmness may be different and the sales people may be pushy. read more

I regret having to share this experience publicly, but after giving Living Spaces multiple opportunities to address our concerns privately and receiving no resolution, I feel compelled to warn others. Our experience with Living Spaces has been nothing short of a nightmare. It all began when our bed arrived with torn fabric, missing parts, and a bent bracket. We immediately called the company and were asked to file a claim, including photos of the damage. We were told we would hear back within three business days, but we heard nothing. After several follow-up calls, where we were repeatedly informed that the claims department couldn't be reached by phone, we finally managed to speak with a manager. He assured us that we would receive a call from the department by the end of the day, but instead, we received an email days later, stating someone would come out to assess the damage. The person who arrived to assess the bed was rude and unprofessional, offering a "solution" of gluing the torn fabric--a completely unacceptable fix for a new piece of furniture. Meanwhile, we had to hammer the bent bracket into place ourselves because weeks had gone by with no resolution. Regarding the missing parts, we were told on July 20 that the parts would be "rushed" to us and could take up to four weeks. We couldn't wait that long and ended up ordering the parts ourselves from Amazon, which arrived the next day. When Living Spaces finally claimed the parts had been delivered, there was no delivery confirmation or tracking information, and we never received them. After this, I requested a partial refund to account for the fact that we received a repaired bed that we had to assemble ourselves, and for the hours of our time wasted dealing with their terrible customer service. Instead of addressing this request, Living Spaces offered to send a new headboard but placed the burden of discarding the old one on us, which would require either paying for removal or renting a vehicle to dispose of it. Our experience with the couch was just as disheartening. It arrived filthy, with dirt stains on the light cream fabric and ripped bottom fabric. When we reported this, we were once again met with rude customer service and no direct way to speak with the claims department. After weeks of back-and-forth, we gave up on resolving the couch issue altogether. In a final attempt to resolve these issues, I reached out directly to the store manager, Dana Rodriguez, at the Katy, TX location. Despite following up, I have yet to receive any response. The lack of communication and accountability is astounding, especially from a manager who initially assured us she would assist with any issues. In conclusion, our ask was simple: a partial credit for the bed we had to repair ourselves, and some acknowledgment of the incredibly poor service we've endured. However, Living Spaces has failed to respond to our emails or address our concerns in any meaningful way. We ordered a bed online and scheduled store pickup. We drove 45 minutes for our pickup window to find out it wasn't there. NO communication from the company whatsoever. We went 2 weeks later to get it (the quickest we could get back). The guy at the pickup said it wasn't time to get it and slammed the door in our face. A simple email "your pickup is delayed" would have done wonders. Or a decent customer service experience upon arrival. Awful company. read more

Terrible Experience - Unprofessional and Unhelpful I had an extremely frustrating and unprofessional experience with Living Spaces -2660 Fountain View Dr, Houston, Texas 77057. I ordered a custom couch and was really excited--it was my first new couch, and I could design it exactly the way I wanted. It was a big expense for me and my husband, but we wanted something nice for once. At no point during the process was I informed of the actual name of the fabric I chose. But the salesman - Kareem Harris - took us to an existing couch in the store that had the fabric we wanted and kept vaguely pointing at the fabric and asking, "Is this what you want?" which led to them putting the wrong fabric name on my order. When the manager - Shawn - came over to review the order, he didn't say the name of the fabric either; he just asked if that was what I wanted. As a result, I received a couch with fabric I never asked for. When I returned to the store to get the issue fixed, I was told they needed to talk to the salesman and would call me back. They never did. I followed up multiple times, only to get the runaround. When they finally called me back, they told me it was my fault for choosing the wrong fabric, and they couldn't do anything about it. When I asked the manager if he remembered my order, he had the nerve to tell me he remembered reading the fabric name but didn't mention it because he couldn't pronounce it. After that, they directed me to customer service, who were just as unprofessional and unhelpful. I was told they would call me back within three business days, which never happened. I had to follow up twice more to finally get an answer--again blaming me for their mistake. The entire experience was infuriating, with staff being condescending throughout the process. We popped into the store today to look at patio furniture and feel absolutely blessed to have been helped by Miss Patricia. Not only is she an angel of a human, but she was extremely knowledgeable about the furniture and helpful with design ideas. I highly recommend asking for her if you go into this store for anything! She ended up helping us find a great set for our space that was on sale (would have happily paid full price for it!) and carrying over different chair options for us to look at to mix and match. We are very happy with our purchase. The only reason I am giving 4 stars rather than 5 is I don't feel like there was a big enough selection/variety of large patio dining tables considering the size of the store. I am happy with the price and the service was impeccable. We will be repeat customers over and over and going back to see Patricia, specifically. read more

I was very happy to find a recliner of the size and color that we wanted. The color caused it to be special ordered, so even though it was ordered 11/15/23, the delivery wasn't scheduled until today. I was informed Sunday to select a time on Tuesday, 12/19/23 for delivery. I was given a window of 12:15pm to 3:15pm today for delivery. We stayed home all day to receive it. It didn't arrive by the end of the window. I called AND checked on-line to find out what happened. They said it didn't pass quality inspection, so they don't know yet when it might be ready. Very poor customer service and quality control. Since I got rid of the chair I had to make way for the new chair, I have no place to sit now. The only solution I see is for them to deliver another recliner for my use until they can deliver the one I ordered. read more

quick review as a parent, this could me my new go to playground: indoors, massive climbing/slide labyrinth, with a separate room with huge flatscreen playing kids shows with couches, bathrooms & water access for them of course. the playroom has a alarm triggered door so no escaping rascals, & of course supervision by employees should one care to go to the bar right next door for 2$ beers/wine/keg (with huge flatscreens & games on etc). giant glass screens to playroom allow you to enjoy the 'show' from outside in tranquility whilst enjoying your drink. i mean they've thought of it all; best way to get us to shop & to make irrational, inebriated home decor decisions! ;) read more

This review is specifically for an amazing helpful sweet salesperson named Ian he is floating until the location near Galveston opens. But i purchased a mattress from there that really was painful for my family. Even though we were having to wait to exchange the mattress for warranty he took the time to take us around and delve into what we would really need. It was weird we have purchased couches chairs and a few other things from here through the years but this was the first product we just were unhappy with. However the experience was made better. I wish he was at this store lol read more
