My friends love them but my family is 0 for 2. I went in at least 3 times trying to make sure I was getting the right mattress. My number 1 priority was I didn't want to end up sleeping in a bowl. A year later here I am sleeping in a bowl on top of some folded sheets to help fill the dip. My daughter went yesterday after I warned her of my experience. She told the salesman she wanted to see hybrids and cool tops. He showed her the cheapest mattress in the store with the comment of you can't afford it we can finance. What a condescending attitude. I purchased mattress and box spring based on commercials, TV exposure, etc. The advisor recommended the wringbheught box spring ... and I notified them when it was delivered. The guy u spoke w on the phone said they don't make the uniform heights and I SHOULD have been advised accordingly. Nevertheless. They made me pay to have the correct 1 delivered. After sleeping on the mattress I really didn't like it. I went back to the store and spoke w the same guy who sold me the mattress. He said I needed to walk on it to break it in. W..t..f ?!!? Just purchased a king bed from Texas Mattress Makers. Lax inquired about our current bed and why we were there. Then he had us try several beds laying on back and side, since that is how we sleep. He helped us narrow our search to two beds. Showed us a cut out of the difference in the two and then left us to lay and rest on beds. Since they custom make the beds we had one half one bed type and the other the other! Bed is to be delivered on Friday. I will update review after have had bed delivered and we have slept on it for a while. read more

As promise, I'm back to write an update about the mattress we bought about a month ago. We haven't had one single night when we woke up hot. So, it's safe to say our old mattress (8 years old) was the reason why we were getting so hot at night. The mattress we bought from Texas Mattress Makers is very comfortable and we haven't been hot sleeping on it. I would recommend one thing to everyone especially for the older generation. Request the low profile box springs that are only about 4" thick if you have a raised bed frame (we do). This will keep your bed from being so high. We bought the mattress from the Katy store, three years ago. At the beginning, the mattress was comfortable. Three years later, the mattress did not hold up to its reputation. At this point, the top is totally uneven. Tried to rotate the mattress, the problem was not resolved. The way the mattress is designed, you will not be able to flip the mattress. This design is flawed. I go to bed feeling good, I wake up in the morning with lower back pain. When I contacted the store and asked about their 10 year residential warranty, the store representative stated that the warranty does not cover comfort. It only applies if the mattress dips two inches or more. You advertise for comfort and a good night's sleep. Neither one of those remotely apply anymore. The mattress, as advertised on TV, does not live up to its commercials. I do not recommend this product. read more

What impressed me the most about TMM is the care/concern/knowledge the employees, JB and Vik, extend to their customers. When I purchased our first mattress in Oct. 2019, I spent close to three hours in their no-frills showroom. The mattresses are gorgeous, well-constructed, and I love that every product that goes into the making of them, comes from the US. If the mattress doesn't work out for you, they help you find another one (and take apart the previous one and send various parts to recycling centers across the US). I loved this idea. A few weeks ago, it was my pleasure to return to the same TMM in Katy, and was happy to be helped by JB while Vik waved hello (as he was helping other customers). These mattresses aren't sitting around standing up wrapped in plastic, made from who-knows-where. No. You decide with their help which is best for you, and only after you place the order, do they send it for parts and build the mattress at their facility near downtown Houston. They take about four days. Mine arrived wrapped in plastic, and the delivery men wore face masks & gloves, taking good care to be mindful of social distancing. I had back surgery in June....another procedure in July..home for 3 months...only relief was by sleeping sitting up on couch...my wife went to the Katy store....bought a new mattress....got it home...too hard..they came and took it back...then we decided to get dual mattress sections so she could lay flat and I can elevate my head and feet...out they came and changed it all out...no pain...sleeping great...our only problem is that our dog loves the vibration motion and will not lovingly give up his place without grumbling about it...he loves this bed...and so do we...thank you so much to Jeff and his crew at the Katy store for all of you help and kindness...you have our business...thank you..thank you..thank you..Sabra and Peary Perry ...Richmond, TX read more

I purchased a mattress from a furniture store that informed me that my mattress was made through guys. I paid almost 900 for the set because I have a California king plus. My mattress did not live up to the expectations, over the months mattress started to lump up and very uncomfortable to sleep on. I have back problems and I am in pain every morning . When I bought our my first mattress from TMM's Katy location, I was glad to see a well-lit, spotless showroom that is no frills ... and also no smooth talk trying to pressure me into making a deal. JB and Vick were quiet, helpful, and I really appreciated them looking me in the eyes and asking lots of questions before moving around the space to have me try out several mattresses. Each time I tried one out, they asked more pertinent questions so they could narrow the search for the best mattress. Which, they - we - ended up finding. This was in Oct. 2019. It was wonderful for them to remember me when I returned last month (March) to buy a second mattress, this time for a different type of mattress. I only needed to des Mcribe the mattress recommended by my husband and I's family chiropractor, and they showed the perfect one. We've had no problems with either mattresses. They are beautiful, very well-constructed, and I loved that ALL parts are made in the US, and made in the manufacturing facility just like you see on TV. The first mattress (the one I sleep on) is SO comfortable, I have slept 1-2 hours later than usual, which is just unheard of! But SOOO welcome! You never realize how much you need a well-built, just-for-you mattress, until you get one. Both JB and Vic are pleasant, extremely knowledgeable, give you all the time you need to ask questions, test out as many mattresses as you want, and never once did I feel pressured to make a sale. I was in the need of a mattress and after having surgery found that I was in need of a new mattress sooner rather than later. In my search for a new mattress I found that most stores were out of stock, too expensive or had a long wait time for delivery due. I went to Texas Mattress Makers upon the recommendation of my mother, and upon entering the showroom I was greeted my Neata. She was very nice and knowledgeable. She did not pressure me or try to sell me a more expensive mattress than what I needed. I was going to think about it over night and ended up going back the same day to buy a king mattress (London Plush Top) with an adjustable base. The mattress was purchased on a Friday and was delivered the following Saturday. The day before delivery they called to give me a delivery window of 2:30 to 4:30 pm. On the day of the delivery I received 2 phones calls to let me know they were on the way and they arrived around 2:30 pm. The delivery guys installed the adjustable bases and mattress and gave me a tutorial. They also took away my old mattress and box spring. Since they had to take the mattress out of plastic I did have to let it air out for a few days with my windows open and fan on as it had a new smell. I have been getting the best night sleep I've had in a while since being able to sleep on the mattress. Not sure if that is the case with all the mattresses but some may find this as an inconvenience if they do not have a spare room to sleep in if they can't stand the smell as I did. If you want to WIN with your purchase don't get sidetracked with the talking salesman. Make sure you read the fine print. I called 3 days before and thought I asked all the right Questions. My husband was recovering from three broken ribs we need a new mattress so I thought I would get an adjustable bed frame. Texas mattress makers is highly recommended on the Deborah Duncan show so that was the reason that I wanted to purchase from them. I asked the sales person several times if this didn't work out for my husband could I return it including the adjustable bed frame he said yes and explained to me that will be at 18% restocking fee. I said OK never did he reiterate the return policy on the adjustable frame. So today I called to return everything because the bed is not comfortable we're going to wait until my husband is feeling much better so that he can go in and try out the mattresses so we can get the right one. Only to find out that not only am I being charged 18% restocking fee the adjustable bed frame is not a returnable items. When I refreshed the salesperson JB about our conversation and informed him of what he said he only came back with it's the companies policy. With this said don't get caught up with the sleeptime you have a 90 to 100 days to try out the mattresses because really you're paying for it. Just take your time so you can make the right purchase. Read for your self and check other companies and compare return policies. Needless to say very disappointing. read more

If you are looking for quality mattresses, or upholstery (Living Designs), shop no more. These folks deliver the best ever! I am amazed at the professionalism and knowledge of the sales team. They know how to fit you to the proper mattress and they stand behind their word, unlike any other retailer in the Greater Houston area, that I've run across. We worked with Lax and he is amazing, to say the least. I have severe back issues and have tried many different, expensive mattresses over the last several years, with no luck. I honestly was at my last rope when we met Lax. He understood better than I, what was needed for my condition and had a custom mattress made for me.
