We had such a wonderful experience with Dominique Reed. He greeted us immediately and gave us excellent descriptions of the Tempur-pedic vs. the Postur-pedic. The store was clean, organized & the sales team was so kind to our kids. This was our 1st time to purchase from Mattress One and we decided to go with the Serta Insight and we bought 2 twins (to make a king) for me and my husband. We got it during their Veterans sale for a great price! Dominique was very patient while we made our decision and we will definitely be coming back for beds for our boys. ****WARNING**** We went to Mattress 1 One on Katy Freeway on December 2 and purchase a mattress and adjustable bed frame. The size we wanted had to be ordered and was told it would be delivered on December 14. We received a call on December 9 from the company's main office in Orlando Florida stating that due to the recent Chapter 7 bankruptcy they would not be delivering our mattress and bed frame. They also stated they would not be refunding the money and we would have to dispute the transaction with our bank. A search on the internet revealed that Mattress 1 One filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy in April of 2019 and as of December 5 a petition was files and granted to convert the Chapter 11 bankruptcy to Chapter 7. So unless we are successful in recovering our money through our bank we are basically screwed out of our money. read more

It's disheartening to write this review, when all the reviews for this location have been 5-stars. I went to this Mattress 1 One store on 1/28/18. Susan assisted me in selecting my mattress, and even worked with me on the price to get me a great deal. We scheduled delivery for 1/31/18. Susan was an absolute pleasure to work with. Tues. 1/30/18: Received phone call that Mattress was not in stock and will be available for delivery on Friday, 2/2/18 Fri. 2/2 @ 7 PM: No mattress. Called Susan, and she apologized that someone should have contacted me earlier in the day to tell me that the delivery truck did not make it to their warehouse and delivery won't be made until Tuesday. Tues. 2/6 @ 10 AM: Phone call from the store to say that Mattress was not in stock. At this point, I expressed that I have missed 3-days of work to wait on a mattress that was promised to me almost two weeks ago. The salesman told me he couldn't do anything and to contact Susan the following day. Tues. 2/6 @ 2 PM: I called corporate and expressed my concerns. I wish I could give this place 10 stars, that's how amazing they treated us! I believe in customer service, especially if you're spending thousands of dollars at a company, and boy did they deliver! Not only were they accommodating with our delivery options, but they answered every question we had. They worked with us on financing and even gave great deals on mattress covers and bed frames. Chris Gaither, the manager went above and beyond for us, and that's why we will be a repeat customer, and recommend them to everyone I know! 07/02/18 Sales associate on this visit was Ayesha. I went into the store based on a friend's otherwise pleasant experience. Explained how previously had an all foam mattress, very much liked that mattress, and sought same or newer version of that. Instead, was talked into buying the Hybrid (coil) mattress instead. Purchase also included an adjustable base, 2 pillows, and mattress protector. Granted, no one literally held a gun to my face for me to buy. Yet, I feel my experience here and with this sales associate was extremely subpar. My profession, sleeping positions, and actual like of previous mattress were either not inquired about or frankly way the hell overlooked in this situation. To this day, have yet to receive a follow up call inquiring about satisfaction with mattress. This is review 1 of what ended up being 4 trips to this same store, all worthless and could have been avoidable if had a more competent experience the first go around. 08/01/18 Sales associate on this visit was Alex. While I have no complaints or issues regarding this associate, this was a waste of a trip on my end. I ended up getting a wrong pillow (1 of 2) delivered when the mattress, adjustable base, and mattress protector were also delivered. Alex made a point of correctifying this error quickly and with little additional headache for me. Prior to my being assisted, another couple was there exchanging their mattress. Can't help but wonder how common a mattress exchange ends up happening here afterall. Bad sales experience the first go around or just a change of mind with mattress; to remain unknown. Review 2 of 4 to same store. 08/21/18 Sales associate on this visit was Gabriel. The dreaded visit back to the store to explore mattress exchange options. I'll lay out a cliff note version of Mattress One's 120 Day Comfort Guarantee: $129 transportation fee, $79.99 delivery fee, and you pay FULL PRICE on the desired exchange mattress (current sales and promotions will not be honored on an exchange). Blows, right!? Having that stringent of a policy is all fine and dandy ASSUMING all sales associates are trained and capable of selling according to preferences of customer. Twas not my experience! Feel free to explore my other reviews totaling the 4 trips to the same store for more of my experience. Going back to the associate and actual visit this day - Gabriel was great. I wholeheartedly think that I wouldn't be in this situation had he been my original sales rep. He was agreeable that I was sold a mattress not for me and while sympathetic to the situation, he advised me to stop by following day to speak to the actual store manager. Review 3 of 4 to same store. 08/22/18 Store manager on this visit was Suzanne. Had hopes that this would be a better experience, alas it wasn't. Suzanne was situational disinterested in every sense of the word, and she made no attempt of hiding it. She genuinely could not have been less helpful! To make matters worse, Suzanne spoke ill of both Ayesha and Gabriel, undermining their knowledge as well as time with the company (Mattress One). It's one thing for myself, as a customer, to question the knowledge of a sales rep given the experience. It's a whole other level of unprofessional for a manager to do so, especially in front of an already dissatisfied customer. The interaction with Suzanne closed with her assuring me that she would personally give me a call the next day after speaking to her superiors. Similarly to my first experience, that follow up call never came. These combined 4 reviews (this concludes 4 of 4 to same store) sum up my SHITSHOW of an experience with Mattress One. RJ was awesome! Super friendly, so helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable! This was my first time buying a mattress and I did go to another place after I left this store. Just wanted to see what else was out there before making a large purchase such as this. I went right back to RJ within an hour. At the other store I went to, I looked a different mattress then the one I had spoken with RJ about the first time. He helped me compare the two and helped me make an informed decision I was had little knowledge about. I'm so excited for it to get delivered! Much thanks to RJ for helping me with this process! I hate shopping for furniture. So many decisions, difficult sales people (to the point of stalking), etc. However, I wanted to share a great experience I recently had with Mattress1One. I went to the 24445 Katy Freeway, Katy, TX location and met Chris Gaither, Sales Associate. Chris was perfect. He showed us all the options and let us make our own choice. Typically sales people will try to steer you to the most expensive option whether you want it or not for a bigger commission. Not Chris... He was knowledgeable, polite, respectful, efficient and I could go on... Yesterday the new bed was delivered and very carefully and efficiently set up by the delivery crew. I had an AWESOME experience here at Mattress One. I was very pleased with the store manager, Chris G. His professionalism, kindness and knowledge regarding each product was truly impressive. He took the time to thoroughly describe the benefits of each mattress and with his help, I was able to find the mattress that best fit my sleeping needs. Purchasing the Serta iComfort mattress has been one of the best investments I've made thus far. I was also very satisfied with the store environment. So I purchased a Serta Ergomotion king size(which are two bases) from them November 2016. The bases broke in December 2016. Bryan the employee that sold me the product when I went to the store to return them, because he stated that I have a 90 day return warranty on them stated that he could no return them..... He gave me the number to Serta ergomotion to get them fixed. So I have owned them for about year and a couple of months and they have broke down 7 times. The processor, actuator, and the motor has been changed twice on both bases and going on my third time just waiting on the parts. And this time the sleep tracker will be replaced for the first time. The store told me good luck with that the last time I went was this past week and stated that they now are unable to help me because they stopped selling serta, because it is a very bad product per the sells rep. Then why did you tell me a year ago that is was the best frame you have!? They obviously don't care about the customer they just care about the dollar bills that go into there pocket. I would warn people from going there. Yes they are very nice and great customer service when selling to you, but once you pay for it you are trash that they want to take out. Please go some where that gives a s***t about real customer service. People that live in Houston, TX Gallery Furniture has the best customer service before and after the sell. Yes they are a little more expensive on certain items, but bedding they are the same. Please do your research before and look at multiple places for the best price and customer service. After the mattress set was purchased upon delivery they tore the box spring & a new one was ordered to be delivered and it was a twin instead of a queen. Then the store manager placed another order for a queen box spring scheduled a delivery time & date at which it was never delivered they never called me so I called them and no one could get in touch with the delivery driver. I called the company numerous times to find out when I would receive our box spring & they kept giving me the run around, I finally received a call at 4:30 pm that day that it would I would receive a call from the driver around 5:30pm-6:00pm again no call to me from driver, 8pm rolls around and still no delivery or call. I called the manager that night & left a message he called me back the next morning all he said was I'm sorry I wasn't in the store tell your husband to come in and I'll put something together for him for all the trouble this has been for yall my husband went to the store & they didn't give him anything. We finally got our box spring this morning. After you purchase your bed they could care less about their customers. read more
