Their communication throughout the whole process was stellar as well. Just recently, I was in there and Jake immediately greeted us asking if we could use any help. He provided my mom with information regarding town bikes and answered all of her questions. Patrick then gave me advice on what I could do to become a more well-rounded rider. One of my favorite things about Eastside is how passionate about the sport the guys are, and their willingness to help anyone who comes into the shop. It's April. Weather is perfect. Everyone and their dog is on the trail (literally, it's Boise), and that means neglected bikes need tuning from a winter of neglect. My buddy called many shops in town, and they were understandably slammed. Like an auto tire shop the day AFTER the first storm = everyone has to get their stuff done yesterday. He called pretty much every shop and was told wwo to three weeks was the minimum turnaround. After calming my buddy down and peeling him off the walls (that's how passionate Boiseans are about riding) I remembered World Cycle. They were able to fit him in same-day and told him the tune would be done in 2 days. TWO days??? I thought it was going to be another LBS disaster story where BS is given out just to get your business. I was wrong! Bike was finished and back in my freak friend's garage the next day. I believe they call that "under promise, over deliver." World Cycle was busy when we dragged the 29er in, but the owner and every employee greeted us as if we had an appointment or were the only customers. Made me realize my attitude at work could probably do with a little tuning, hmmmm. Anyway, the bottom line is World Cycle mechanics and employees got a Boise biker back on the trail with great work and a fair price. I'm not telling everyone you'll get a bike back in 24 hours, but when it happens it's worthy of a Yelp review. I'd give 6 stars if possible. Drop the mic! read more
