This review is for a Brazilian wax. The older woman who was waxing me clearly had little experience and struggled to get all the wax off my body. She tugged and pulled and did considerable damage, pulling off a top layer of my skin, so much so that I'm still in pain 2 days later and needing to apply oils and creams to soothe the abrasion. Finally she called in Sophie who finished the job expertly. Nice people but you need to train folks before sending them to experiment on real live humans. read more

I've been going to World Cuts since I moved here last year and couldn't be happier. I've always asked for Rynae, the owner, and she gets it right everytime. She has a good eye and understands what you want. She's also a really nice and friendly person in general and gives you the shop that extra little bit of warmth that brings me back. I will admit that I've never gotten a haircut by any of the other hairdressers, but I vouch for Rynae 100%. read more

I usually go to Berkeley Hair studio, but since they were closed, i decided to go to world cuts. They didnt disappoint. They only charge $15 for men, and the people there are very friendly and chatty. They are also very accommodating in terms of asking them to cut more or less hair. They take appointments, and with multiple barbers, even walkins don't have to wait long. I will definitely come here again. read more

Very friendly service and hairdressers that listen to you! I've only been here once but much prefer it to the competing hair salon next door.. The woman who cut my hair clearly knew what she was doing and had a very methodic and experienced approach. BRING PICTURES - this helps a lot! I found the pricing very reasonable, you can get a haircut for under $20. I used the $4 coupon from here (http://insidethegoodlife.com/coupons/) but those deals change monthly so hopefully you'll get lucky! My haircut was $18 + $5 for hair washing - $4 coupon = $19 + tip!! *Good to note that hair wash is not included in the cut, it's an extra $5 so if you don't want to spend on that then come with wet hair since it's much easier to cut! read more

Came in for a wax with an appointment. Was in and out of here in no time with an excellent waxing experience

Excellent staff, very quick, good price and very friendly and talented staff. Found them on Yelp and am glad I did.

recently got a hair cut from here. Ive been coming here since I was an undergrad at Cal used a coupon and my hair cut was 14 bucks. not including tip. I say its pretty reasonable for a girl on a grad student budget. the lady that cut my hair is really friendly. I can't tell if its a good hair cut but i like the friendly service and she also asked me what kind of cut i want before she starts cutting and she suggested some styles. read more

Delightful staff I've had my hair cut by 4 of these ladies, all are extremely nice and thorough. They earnestly take the time to get it right - I've been coming here for almost 2 years and they are consistent. The price is unbeatable for the value. Best hair salon in E.Bay IMHO. read more

Quick, great haircut. Kind women who genuinely care about their customers. Would highly recommend.

I've been going to World Cuts regularly since I started college and even after I've graduated and am now working in SF. Usually I've been really content with my haircuts here but they've been having alot of changes in barbers recently and the options that they have now are really not that good anymore. My last haircut especially felt like a fiasco. The barber was an old lady who seemed to be unable to hold the shaver steady and kept on bumping my head. She also took around 30 minutes and I felt that she kept on shaving the same areas over and over again and eventually the back of my neck was kind of raw from having been repeatedly rubbed by the shaver. Also, she didn't actually spray water on my hair before the scissor cut which made it really uncomfortable. Overall, it was probably my worst experience getting a hair cut and I will probably never go here again. read more

Loved Malu who gave me a shampoo and hair cut for $24! She was so sweet and we had a great conversation. They use good quality shampoo and hair products too (Paul Smith). This place is a gem and the ladies that run the place are adorable. read more

GUYS! Need a wax? I've been going to a woman named LAN for over 3 years now, and I swear I drive in from oakland just to go to her. She is amazing! super professional, she works really fast which means it's over WAY quicker than most places. Plus she's fun and nice and genuinely friendly. Definitely recommend her! read more

Phung cut my hair today and she was thorough, asked how I wanted it cut, and chatted with me while she worked. Haircut was even, well blended, etc. etc. Very good haircut - better that the one I paid $30 for last month. $15 is a great price, especially for a great cut! read more

I haven't had a chance to get my hair cut since I moved to the bay area since I had no idea where to go.... After reading a million yelp reviews I finally settled on this place. I have to say they were really friendly, and Rynae got my haircut perfect after looking at a picture I had. It was a great experience, and I will be back for sure!!! read more

Just got my haircut here today! I'm unsure of the lady's name that cut my hair because i never caught it and was too embarrassed ask for it again. However she was great and understood everything I wanted. I came in with long hair pass my chest and decided to cut of 6 inches since the bottom length was basically dead from split ends and looked like a broomstick. She definitely knows how to cut hair - I've never gotten a haircut up at Berkeley so this was my first time and it was great! I used the coupon from inside good life so it was 14 but I tipped her 4 making it out to the original price of $18! read more

This was the first haircut place I ever went to in Berkeley since it was where my RA usually went and it was right across from campus. I didn't go here as often as I should have throughout college because, being a cheap college student at the time, I looked for places which were cheaper. After being fed up with other places near campus with crappy service and no longer wanting to deal with long walks to other reliable places, this became my usual place for my final two years. This place works well since it's in a very convenient location for students and they have multiple people working all the time. As a walk-in, I never had to wait more than ten minutes to get a haircut. They work fast too, even with all the chitchat. I can't remember ever being disappointed by any haircuts I had here either. read more

Friendly service. They honored by appointment time. It was a little busy but everything moved quickly and I'm happy with the haircut.

Being a freshman, I had to get a haircut place outside of one of two places that I went to for the last 18 years of my life. I walked in and they had a bunch of people cutting hair, the wait was not long at all. The lady who cut my hair did it super well and they are all extremely friendly. read more

Fast, good price ($15 men's hair cut), haircut is just fine.

I'm really picky about the style I get my hair, and I must say that after only a couple of times going there, they knew my style down to a T. Super nice and personable, I talk to my stylist like a long-time friend as she politely interjects to make sure I want my hair done a certain way. Even when I feel adventurous and want to try something a little different, I trust they're expertise to give me advice on if the new "do" would look good on me. And, I spend $16...you really can't beat it. read more

My friend and I came here to get our eyebrows done by Lan- she was professional and knew what we wanted without us having to go into too much detail i.e. none. I was a little worried we'd get crazy arches or end up dangerously browless but Lan did a great job, gave us tips, and left us very happy customers. I will return. Costed $11 each. read more

I have been to world cuts twice and have been happy with the results of my hair cuts. The first time, I got a trim and some bangs which I liked. The second time, I got a trim. The women who work in the salon are friendly and really nice. They greeted me with warm smiles and hellos when I walked in. Their prices are inexpensive and they do a really great job. I will be back for sure next time I need a trim or cut. read more

World Cuts is great! My hair is challenging to get right (no, my profile pic isn't me... I wish!) and they always do a good job.

World Cut is fast, inexpensive and they do a great job. I can to Rynae with a picture of how I wanted my hair (a new style) and she did such a good job the first time, it's now the only place I go. This is saying something for someone who used to just get a haircut wherever was convenient. read more

I am always delighted to go here because the people are friendly and the environment is really relaxed. The haircuts are 15 for guys unless you use the press pass and get the 3 dollars off. I usually just use that toward giving them a tip. Rynae is one of the nicest people ever. She is friendly and always has a smile on her face. It really makes a difference. Time goes by much faster and I am always left smiling when i leave. You pretty much get what you ask for so be as specific as you want and ask for their opinions. read more

For $15, I got an amazing haircut. Incomparably better than Super Cuts or Bo Ric's.

By far my favorite place to get a haircut. The ladies are super friendly and like carrying conversations. They actually remember me and know how I like to comb my hair. If I ask for certain styles or am picky about what I want worked on they accommodate very well and leave me happy and proud to have a fresh haircut. read more

It's just a damn fine place to get a quick hair cut. You can pop in and get out and not feel like you've been fleeced for all your money over a hair cut. You best give a tip to those lovely ladies, then take that sweet bank that is left in your wallet and go buy a burrito. read more

The person who worked with me was really polite and had an awesome conversation with her. I love the haircut she gave me. I would have liked it shirter, but still, she did an awesome job and understood the 5 extremely of my hair :) read more

Awesome hair cuts, quick. Can get busy, but calling ahead is an option.

I discovered this place because I kept having an impossible time getting an "appointment" at The Shop in North Berkeley. I'm not really a super suave haircut kind of guy, so I can't really speak to World Cuts' abilities in that regard, but I can say both times I have been I have gotten awesome haircuts that have looked better than anything I've gotten at fancier places in the past (including The Shop). Lin in particular is a rockstar and does a tremendous job. Her attention to detail rivals anything I've ever seen from another stylist. It's so cheap I almost feel bad, so I tend to give a huge tip. read more

I have been gong to World Cuts for about 2 years now and could not be more pleased. Rynae and her staff are excellent hair stylist and very skilled in their craft. They know how to produce the look that you want, even when it is hard to describe. Beyond being skilled, the staff at World Cuts are also some of the nicest and sweetest people that you will ever meet. The cost is also extremely reasonable (about $15 for a haircut). You will not be disappointed if you give Rynae a chance. read more

i've gone to a few different hair places but this has been the best so far. The stylists are really nice and welcoming. I had Kay; all i told her to do was trim my hair 2.5" all around and she not only did what i asked, but added style to it (not using any product), so they definitely all have lots of experience and that's always a plus obviously. the cut was simple but awesome. of course it's also a good idea to bring in a picture to specify what you (the customer) exactly want to make it easier for them to know what you want so no misunderstanding/miscommunication happens. i've just made world cuts my default place to get a cut. i'd definitely recommend this place to others. read more

Best haircut ever! Ryane has a charming personality and she prides herself on customer service. I am a loyal customer of eight years! Simply you can't beat the price, customer service and dedication of this shop! read more

World Cuts is great. I've been going here for years, and I always look forward to my next visit. Rynae is fantastic. There's something very comforting about knowing you're going to get a great hair cut and leave feeling better than when you walked in the door. I'm never disappointed. If I could give more than five stars, I would. Kudos to the great staff at World Cuts, especially Rynae. You're the best! read more

Really great place for a men's haircut. The women are friendly and they do a really good job.

Simple, affordable, friendly and efficient. I simply won't pay for a "designer" haircut when you can go in here and get the job done for $20 (including a nice tip)! First time there today, I'll be back. Thank Lon (sp?). read more

This is by far the worst haircut place don't go here if I can give it zero stars I would ... 25 dollars for a haircut and the fade was completely messed up .. I asked the lady to fix it but she said it's fine ..... please listen to my advice don't go here over pieced and very impatient ....!!! read more

Sophie is AMAZING! I'm so ridiculously happy with my haircut. I asked for a shoulder length cut with bangs and she pulled off the look amazingly. She did a great job of accommodating my picky specifications and trying something new with an uneven end. I would recommend for a simple cut - it's cheap, fast, and the women are all really nice. read more

The very first time I ever had a haircut and didn't feel bad about it. Brilliant place. World Cuts is the way to go.
