I absolutely adore the Yoni Temple! I've been coming here for a little over a year now and I can honestly say that this has been the best waxing salon that I've ever been to. The salon is bright and inviting and the staff is incredible. I'm always greeted by Elliott's big smile and super charm. She is always so sweet and I love chatting with her in the waiting room. Shymell is an absolute doll and one hell of a waxer! I've been seeing Shymell since last October and every experience has been wonderful. Of course this isn't a painless experience, but Shymell makes the environment really comfortable and quick. Shymell is so fun and easy to talk to. It really feels like I'm chatting with an old friend during our sessions. She is clean, thorough and articulate. In the past, I've found that previous waxers have left quite a bit of hair from time to time. Nothing will ever be perfect and there will always been fine hairs left behind, but Shymell makes sure that there is virtually no hair left. I love that the salon carries many of the products that are used as well as other trinkets like greeting cards. You might be able to find cheaper prices elsewhere for the same services, but you won't find this kind of high quality service and care anywhere else. Fast, Professional--and the CBD Oil? Total Game Changer. I just had a Brazilian wax done at The Yoni Temple, and I'm honestly so impressed. My esthetician, Ashley, was warm, professional, and made me feel comfortable right from the start. She walked me through the process and kept things light with a great sense of humor. The studio itself was super clean and calming--exactly what you want when you're in a pretty vulnerable position. Ashley worked quickly and efficiently, but never rushed. I appreciated how she checked in with me throughout because I was having lower back pain and thigh discomfort. The pain was manageable (way less than I expected), and the results were super smooth with zero redness. She knows exactly what she's doing. Shymell is amazing!! I briefly used to go here at their old location on Telegraph above the tattoo parlor and the attention to detail/comfort and customer service has not only stayed true since then, but has gotten even better! The entire place looks and smells like a spa. Symone is so kind and her smile is super contagious. I went to EWC across the st. to start the Brazilian process again because it was cheaper but immediately regretted it. I promise you, the prices here are so worth it considering my sensitive skin always leaves feeling calmed and renewed after my wax- something that is so rare at every other waxing place I've gone to EVER. I've never experienced any skin issue during after care or long after the wax since they only use the cleanest ingredients and their estheticians are really skilled. I booked an extended Brazilian about 4ish months ago and randomly got assigned Shymell and I'm so glad I did. She's super gentle and makes me feel so comfortable which is crucial for this type of wax. It feels like we've known each other for so long! She tracks how my skin/hair are doing and is now very knowledgable about my skin/hair profile after only a handful of sessions. Also love that they kept the art on the ceiling- so empowering! I had my first Brazilian (ever!) with Marisol today, and she was excellent! She walked me through the process at the start of our appointment so I knew exactly what would happen, about the CBD oil if I was feeling pain, and that it was her priority to keep me comfortable in this vulnerable experience. She was quick, but not rushed and kept me laughing and chatting throughout the appointment - which was over before I knew it. And the serum to prevent ingrown hairs was so nice too! This is a great place to go for a first time, and every time. And, the front desk staff, Brenda, was kind and calming too. She makes the experience peaceful from the moment you walk in the door. The space is also very clean and nicley decorated - just what you want in this experience. Checkout was a breeze as well, and you get a discount when you rebook after your appt. I had an amazing experience for my first time at The Yoni Temple. As soon as I walked in the front door, I was greeted with smiles and warm vibes. The aesthetics of the location are pretty cool. My appointment was with the beautiful wax pro Rachel, who is one of the newest members to the Yoni Temple wax team! Rachel had great energy and was super professional, I definitely did not feel like I was at a wax boutique. I had my underarms waxed, and the results were pretty great! It had been MANY years since I got my eyebrows waxed, and since that last time was a bit of a traumatic experience, I was worried about getting my eyebrows waxed again. I searched for a place online and saw that Yoni Temple specializes in waxing and seemed pretty nice, so I called to set up an appointment. When I went to my appointment, I was upfront about my concerns, stating that it had been a while, the last time had been traumatic, I generally like my brows the way they are, and that I have dizziness/vertigo issues that mean it takes longer for me to adjust to changes in altitude. Carrie was super patient and accommodating, which I really appreciated. I was worried about the pain from ripping off the wax (since I'm a bit of a wuss when it comes to pain), but it was fairly light, possibly because only a little bit was taken off to preserve most of my thick eyebrows. The result was that my eyebrows looked cleaner and neater with my original brow shape intact. I did have a strong histamine reaction to the process, so Carrie rubbed some ointment and told me to wait. I think she mentioned I could take something later if it was still an issue, though I forgot exactly what it was I could take. In terms of price, I think they trend towards the higher end. However, I'm happy with the end result (though I now wonder if I should've been more daring with my brows). You can really take as much or as little off as you want. Just tell them your preferences and concerns! ECO NOTES They mentioned the wax is biodegradable, but due to the nature of the process, they can't really compost the byproducts (hair, wax, strip, etc.). It is important to note that everything is biodegradable (under the right conditions), so it's really a question of how long something takes to degrade (which is separate from whether it has negative ramifications for the environment when it does degrade). I wonder if the paper liners used for the tables could one day be replaced with reusable washable liners, which I don't believe exist at the moment. read more

I was looking for more of an upscale tailored experience for a Brazilian wax with an emphasis on special attention to detail, skin care, as well as overall longterm care to achieve maximum beauty when it comes to my yoni. I like the vibe of a small boutique style environment vs. a large cold drive through "get them in and get them out" type of vibe. The lighting was perfect and I enjoyed the calming artwork on the ceilings of the rooms. I also liked that there seemed to be some good products that I was encouraged to look through as I waited for my appointment but didn't feel like it was a pressured/sales geared pitch. I also enjoyed the conversations that I had with the manager before & post and post my service. She also seemed knowledgeable about all services offered, treatments that may be beneficial based on my on my concerns, and was genuinely curious to hear feedback if any. The Brazilian wax itself was top tier and I appreciate the specialist making sure that I was comfortable, continuously checked in on the temperature of the wax, offered helpful advice on managing ingrown hairs (without trying to sell me an in house product) as well as left no hairs behind! My pet peeve is having to pay for a Brazilian wax but then having to guide the waxer to areas that still have hair or areas that were 100% overlooked but are definitely included in the service. I unfortunately don't remember the name of the specialist but I can say that before I booked, I read reviews on all and decided to gamble and chose the "pick any available" option. It seems to me that at this location, they are all top tier specialists so you won't be disappointed. If you notice, I describe them as specialists vs. waxers because I believe their knowledge goes much further than just waxing. Overall, I left feeling extremely happy with my service and feel comfortable enough to return and try other services as well. This is a Yoni Temple indeed. read more

It's been a while since my last wax, but out of four places I've been to in the past, this has been the most painless (and quick!) experience. I added CBD treatment which was an extra $25 but completely worth it. I came for a 6:30 PM appointment so parking was free on College Avenue. As someone who had never had a Brazilian before the appointment I had on Monday, 1/20/2025, I did not know what to expect. Walking into the Temple, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I was greeted by Ashley, the owner of the establishment, who then escorted me into the caring hands of Rachel. Rachel may have been new to the Temple, but she had expert level care. Both Ashley and Rachel made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire session, making sure I did my breath work, and explaining everything they were doing from start to finish. They use organic products, and low temperature wax which is gentler on the skin. They even sent me home with recommended after care! Carrie is so amazing that I followed her from her prior salon in Noe Valley (5 minutes from my home) all the way across the bridge to the Yoni Temple. Carrie always makes me feel relaxed and at ease while she's tending to my most tender parts. I was never that consistent before with waxing because I always felt grossed out and tortured, but not with Carrie! She will talk with me about my yoni, instead of pretending the elephant isn't in the room. I decided to try out the Yoni Temple after reading the overwhelmingly positive reviews. I made the trek from the South Bay for an appointment with Marcia and it was 100% worth it. Marcia is incredible. Prior to my appointment, I hadn't had a Brazilian in months and was nervous about the pain, but Marcia was so sweet and put me at ease with casual conversation. She was great about telling me when to breathe and applying techniques to make the experience as efficient and painless as possible. As far as Brazilians go, it truly could not have been better. I left the appointment singing her praises! In addition, the business owner is lovely and made conversation with me while I waited for my appointment. The rooms are gorgeous and calming.
