The cutest shop, Nugget (my pup) and I were strolling the area around the university, spotted this colorful shop, bright and pastel colors which I love. Plenty of tables outside for you to hang out and chill. I got macaroons, Oatmeal Raisin cookie, chocolate cookie, custard pastry, croissant and more, and an iced soy latte which was really good. A cute young was very helpful, the owner (I think), she got the brightest smile was so welcomed. I feel as I have been coming here for years. That warm fuzzy feeling I got. What an adorable pastry shop on University Ave, right next to UA! Right when you walk in, you're greeted by the yummy smell of baked chocolate goods and the lovely staff. My fiancé accidentally left his mask in the car and she provided him with one free of charge. What a nice gesture! Their baked goods are beautifully displayed in a large glass showcase. Of course, the star of the show are the macarons... they have varieties of flavors to satisfy any sweet tooth! Such as Old Fashioned Vanilla, Nutella, Honey Lavendar, and Cookies and Cream. They also offer other baked goods such as Chocolate Covered Brownies, Canele, and Croissant. This last time, we went with a set of 6 macarons and some baked goods. The macarons were excellent and fresh, although one did seem dense and a bit stale compared to others (the Caramel Fleur se Sel). The rest were wonderfully textured/crisp on the outside and creamily delicious overall! The odd one was the first time we experienced this after many excellent A+ experiences. The shop itself is beautifully decorated with plants, flowers, fairy lights, and cute trinkets. A lovely getaway, worthy of instagram pics! Because of COVID-19, they cleared their inside seating and used this as an opportunity to showcase a local artist @SprinkledWithPlants (same tag on IG & Etsy!) They also had their merchandise for sale. If you wanted to enjoy your sweets and baked goods right after purchase, not to worry as outside seating is still available. I've been here many times already and will come back! I have yet to try their drinks and sandwiches but will have to one of these days. The macarons are just THAT tempting and good!!! read more

Whoops is one of my favorite little spots on University to grab a quick bite or a little something sweet. I actually love their honey, apple, brie, and arugula sandwich even more than their macarons! I always get it on a whole grain croissant because the seeds really add texture to the sandwich and the flavor balances nicely with the honey and brie. This time I had a Nutella and a Honey Lavender macaron, tasted pretty good. I don't say this lightly, because I can be picky when it comes to pastry. The old fashioned vanilla is by far the best flavor I've tried so far, I've probably tried more than a half dozen by now. This cafe is really nice, lovely atmosphere and tasty sandwiches with decent macarons--never ever hard or stale. However, I do think it'd be more delicious and environmentally conscious if all the macarons were baked and assembled in house instead of somewhere on the other side of the country. Our first visit was extraordinary! We were on our way to a play at Centennial Hall and stopped to check their hours. We stopped by afterwards and they remembered us and welcomed us back! How nice! Since this was our first visit they gave us a sample macaron. We had coffee and shared a yummy huge chocolate chip walnut cookie and a pumpkin spiced macaron. Everything was delicious. This was my first time visiting the actual Woops bakery, but I have seen them at various Yelp events, Tucson food events, and was given a box for my birthday. The shop, itself, is very classy. It has a cute, upscale but cosy atmosphere with small tables and a front display of all the macarons, plus other pastries they sell. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they sold a variety of other pastries and desserts, not just macarons. They also have a full espresso bar, to fill all of your coffee and espresso needs. To the main event: MACARONS! If you're a macaron fan, like myself, Woops is a place you should try, at least once. Individual macarons are a little pricey, compared to other desserts you could buy at your average grocery store, but if you're willing to splurge a little, it is a delightful treat. They sell a large variety of flavors, from classic chocolate, vanilla, and pistachio, to some interesting flavors, including one that has pop rocks! If you can't decide on just one, you can also buy a box and have an assortment of flavors. Some of the flavors are very subtle, but others will blow your taste buds away! My husband and I eat here pretty much every week on the way back from walking downtown. That could be the review in and of itself, but let's dive into why that is: this place is awesome! First, as you would imagine, Woops! sells macarons. They are in myriad colors and flavors and it's not uncommon to see a small tasting display by the register ready to tickle your taste buds. My favorite is the pistachio and my husband loves the honey lavender. PB&J is also so good! All of the macarons have that delicate crunchy exterior that gives way to a toothsome cookie core and then into the jellies and flavors in the middle. So. Good. Of course, though, we rarely get macarons because their cheddar scallion scone, warm with butter, is absolutely amazing. We've even done blind taste tests with a competitor and Woops! Wins hands-down. It's savory, and cheesy, and oniony. My favorite things! Yum! But then there's the regular cookies. The white chocolate coconut one (with some type of nut, can't remember) is delectable. One of the best cookies I've had in my life, and they're also huge. Bigger than my entire stretched hand. They're crunchy on the edge and gooey yummy on the inside. All of their cookie flavors are amazing (hello red velvet!), but that's the winner. My only regret so far is not trying their sandwiches. I can imagine they are amazing as well. They sound simple but tasty. The employees and the owner are so nice to us every time we're there, too. It makes our little Saturday treat that much nicer! Everyone loves them except for me however they offer more than macaroons they have other great treats. I was sold on the double chocolate chip cookie that was suppose to make it back to the hotel with me however it was gone after the first bite. This cute little shop is on University Blvd. I can see this bakeshop being very popular as the decor of the shop is too cute. A great little place to meet a friend to have a cup of coffee and some amazing treats. The display is tempting as they offer a variety of treats.
