Two bites already out of spinach feta croissant!
Mary B.

Delicious spinach feta croissant and lightly heated to enjoy just steps away from the bakery. I was looking for a delicious lunch snack and it fit the bill! Good quick service from the counter. So many wonderful other choices!

Great FrenchBakery right in the heart of the Olde Pueblo. Great service helping me pick out a Princess Cake to celebrate on of my staff's birthday. Was a big hit and sooo delicious. Will definitely return for more bread and try the café bistro next door.

Ruined decorations on the cake from La Baguette

A friend recommended this place for a cake for my son's graduation from college. We were serving 30 people so I ordered the sheet cake at $88. It seemed worth it for such a special, once in a life time occasion. I was stunned to see how they messed up the cake due to lack of proper packing. The cake was in a too wide of a box with five inches of empty space on either side (even though we drove slow and was careful to secure the box in the trunk, there was no way to stop the cake from sliding around in the box). Even worse was that they made the cake taller than the box, so all the writing was lifted on to the cover. It needed a topper to hold the cover from the cake or a taller box. I called and asked the supervisor and she was super unhelpful. She said she did her best and it's not her fault. That is the only box they have for the sheet cakes. She assumed zero responsibility even though she admitted the cake didn't fit into the box. Her answer over and over again is this is how they do it. She offered nothing in terms to make it right. I gave her many suggestions but she kept saying it's not her problem. I gave her my info for the owner to call me back, which she didn't. Truly unprofessional and I can't believe this bakery advertises that they do special events: I don't like to harm small businesses but it's been a week and still no follow up. I included pictures to show how they ruined the cake. I gave an extra star because it tasted great, even though we had an embarrassing cake that didn't celebrate my son with the words we chose.

While there are many local options, I don't mind a smaller, lesser-known chain with quality products. Woops ships most of its goodies from New York and maintains just two locations in Arizona. Their flagship items are macarons, but there are plenty of options for a real breakfast. What I love: You wouldn't upset me if you declared these to be the best macarons in town. I don't know if I'd quite agree with that, but you'd have an argument. I am in love with the croissants--so flaky you must consciously avoid making a mess. The chocolate is my favorite, but I sometimes go with the much heftier almond variety. I'm usually taking mine to-go, but I do enjoy the warm decor inside and the patio seating. What I like: The occasional savory item like the leek and potato pastry is a tasty change of pace. They make breakfast and lunch sandwiches as well. They're open during pretty generous hours, so I've found myself popping in for a snack as late as 8pm. What needs work: The coffee isn't bad, but it might be the least impressive in the neighborhood, both in terms of flavor and selection. No standout lattes and relatively weak iced coffee, but still OK when the sweet treats are the star of the show. I don't think you could go wrong with a plain cold brew on these hot summer days. Overall, I like the product and I like the service, so I'll keep coming back!

I also appreciate the store's liberal refund policy when there has been food that wasn't good for some reason. The store is also always very clean. Sometimes for a while they're out of the organic red lentil pasta that's the only kind I can eat, but I just started stocking up when they do have it. What I especially appreciate about this location is that whenever we've needed help, every employee has been very responsive, and for me personally the most helpful has been David at the fish counter. I have a challenging illness that requires me to be on a very strict diet called low histamine, so I have to have extremely fresh fish and meat that's been processed and frozen very quickly. David always tell me which kinds of fish that I've been able to tolerate have been delivered that day, and gets me frozen fillets from the back because ones that have been sitting out defrosting are riskier for me. It's scary adding foods back into my diet as I improve, especially ones I've never eaten before like new kinds of fish, and he has made this process significantly less stressful.

Between having ordered a customized cake to picking up cakes from their display cases... I don't have a favorite... each one has been unique and delicious in their own (ps- their icing is amazing). For the quality of their cakes, their prices are totally reasonable. They have additional bakery items ( cookies, pastries etc) that I have tried and I would rate those a 4/5. Good and comparable to some additional amazing bakers in Tucson. I have also dined here for brunch and I would rate it a 3/5. Overall service is great here- staff are attentive and take the time to describe the items. There is a line to order usually- understandably so when you see their bakery case! Indoor and outdoor seating available. Ample parking as it is in a strip mall.
