Yes the place was cute, yes the barista was friendly but the whole point is for good quality coffee and I did not get it here. Iced tea with raspberry and strawberry flavoring. Absolutely no taste, all I tasted was watered down tea. You know what I did not even taste any tea what so ever or the flavorings at all. I took two sips and thought that by drinking it more and more it would get better , but it didn't. I ended up tossing the $5 for a 16 oz in the trash. Iced caramel macchiato. I've had my fair share of macchiatos and tried them bascially everywhere, this one was by far the worst I've have ever tried. All I could taste was milk; no espresso, no caramel , nothing but just milk. I can tell their coffee is really weak and not strong at all. This is from my personal experience. Even though I entered just before closing time, the staff was still very friendly and happy to help me decide on a drink. I asked to customize the mudslide cold brew to omit toasted marshmellows. A very good friend has close ties to Woods and it was a must stop this past weekend when we both had time. The physical space is cozy, and the staff was very attentive even though it was obvious they were all brand new and receiving on the job training. Huge plus: they had a number of baked goods that were gluten free, including pumpkin scones which were delicious and did not send my body into a tailspin (and if you're GF you know there aren't many seasonal things that also come GF). I got a steamed cold brew which was delicious for what it was, but not strong enough for me when it comes to a hot coffee drink. Cold brew cold is different in my book :) read more

This place is super cute! I wish they had more locations down south, as Bellevue is a little bit of a drive for me! We came in during the holidays because I'd seen the page on Instagram and wanted to check it out. It's located inside Bellevue Square, on the 2nd floor near Nordstrom. My boyfriend and I both got hot chocolate. SO GOOD! The staff is very friendly, and drinks came out in a reasonable time. In addition to coffee, teas, hot chocolate, they also have small sandwiches and pastries. They also have some merchandise (my boyfriend got me a beanie and sweatshirt for Christmas!) but it is very expensive..... $50 for a sweatshirt is a bit much..... This is a great coffee shop but there menu is so small it is almost like they intentionally make it hard to read. None the less this is hands down the best coffee near the mall and an amazing local company. Love their appears items- wish they made some of the designs on tee shirts instead of crew neck sweatshirts. For a mall coffee shop, this probably deserves 5 stars. For coffee shops as a whole though, maybe 3-4 stars. So we'll call this a 3.5 star review. My vanilla latte was a tad bit sweet, but all right - I found myself rather fond of the roast of the coffee that I could taste and will likely try it unsweetened next time to better judge. The decor is beautiful - the wooden tables give a cabin-y home feel, and the logo/branding all of the store is great. I also liked that they have a sign directing customers on where to order. Also quite enjoyable - the many power outlets available!! A long strip of outlets lined the backboard of the high top table seats. But at the end of the day, it is a coffee shop. Inside the mall. There are some seats, but perhaps only enough for a dozen or so people at a time. Two cozy arm chairs, a table, and perhaps 3-4 high tops sure - but add in the constant influx of mall rats, and you'll realize it's a little TOO cozy and tight quartered to be truly relaxed in here. It was still quite noisy, as sound from the mall filtered into the open store space. It seemed like they offer Wi-Fi, as all coffee shops seem to do these days, but with all of the noise, the kids, the shopping bags bumping into your shoulder - you'd be lucky if you got any work or reading done here, much less have a coffee date or work meeting. I would absolutely recommend this coffee shop as a stop by location when coming to the mall. The coffee is good. I would not, however, hang here for too long, as the mall offers lots to do and adds extra distractions into this little shop. If Woods opened a second nearby, standalone location, not attached to a mall, I'd be there in a heartbeat. And would probably give them the 4-5 star review that I think that they could have. read more

I tried the latte and it was good but not great. I am a coffee lover and I know the difference between coffee one to another. I am from Denver and we don't have as many good coffee shop as here. I can't believe I have never written a review for Woods! This is one of my favorite places. Woods started in 2002 in Lynden, Washington. The birthplace of my husband. A small farming community on the outskirts of Bellingham, near the Canadian border. I remember when there was NOTHING in Lynden, but in recent years it is a growing community. It's a love story of city girl meets farm boy. Seattle is the birthplace of quality coffee, and thus I am a coffee snob. We met at the University of WA, and when I first met his parents in his hometown, I thought Oh MY there is nothing here, and no where to escape if we don't get along, and how am I going to get my caffeine fix? And no, drip coffee from a can is not an option! Then an answer to prayer, Woods opened, and I found my safe haven. There was a lack of quality coffee in those parts, and Woods was embraced quickly. Quality bites, coffee, amazing service, and cozy community focused stores. I have been to SEVERAL woods locations in the greater Lynden - Bellingham area and never wrote a review. Shame on me! How can I call myself Yelp Elite? I seriously love Woods so much, I must have be in a daze when I went, and just forgot the possibility of Yelp Check In! Now that I live out of state, my trips to Lynden are infrequent. However, my trips to Bellevue and Seattle are several times a year for work and my family. Needless to say I was overjoyed to see a Woods in the Bellevue mall! It was like a rainbow came out after a drastic storm. The Woods location in the mall did not disappoint. I loved that they had their own unique cozy and inviting seating area. The same quality coffee drinks, but now offering nitro coffee! Which I immediately ordered and it was amazing. The same delicious mouth watering bites to eat, and as always options for wheat sensitive folks like me! Except, there were more options than before. A little menu of choices just for me! Their scone was INCREDIBLE! Moist, tasty, and even my friend agreed it didn't taste gluten free. Their food items are made fresh daily in their Lynden, WA bakery and delivered to all their locations each night. They source their ingredients from local farms. The staff were also still amazing. I can see why Wood's is now 15 years young, and has grown to over 19 locations in the Pacific Northwest. Walked in here after seeing how crowded the Woods in Bellevue Sq mall was. Had Hugh expectations, but was disappointing. The savory twist had no flavors. Very less spinach and artichoke in it, so you'd literally just be eating bread. Maple nut coffee was good, but too cold when served. Same with chai tea latte. Marks for the ambience though, complete cabin feels! Giving up on this chain for this season, Seattle has a ton of good coffee places to enjoy in the dreary winter. read more

I came here for the first time last week, and i have to say, the excellent customer service definitely made a great first impression :) The interior of the coffee shop has a warm, inviting ambiance. At the same time the high ceilings and walk-through concept give it an urban feel. (You can basically enter from one side, order/pickup your coffee, and go out the other side) As far as the coffee goes, there was a bit of confusion with my order at first, and that is mostly due to my lack of clarifying what exactly I wanted. The girls that work here definitely know customer service. Once I informed the barista the issue with my drink, she was extremely polite and helpful, and offered to make me a new drink that she felt I would like better (and I definitely did). I walked out a happy customer with a great cup of coffee. Will definitely be returning :) read more

I came into Woods recently after being a rather frequent customer and honestly had the worst experience. This was a shock to me as I've visited this location many times and have never had any problems. The woman who took my order (I think her name was Ashley?) was incredibly rude. She had a very snotty attitude, and was decidedly not happy having to take my order. There was no "Hi, how are you today?" Or any other basic greeting just a rough "What can I get you?" Which was off putting. After I decided on my drink (a Caramel Apple Cider), I got the pleasure of watching her make it. She seemed to kind of slam things around as if she was irritated and in a rush. In her haste, she knocked my cup off the counter and instead of getting me a new one she used the cup that had just been on the floor. Very unsanitary. She slid my drink to me without any acknowledgement, and just walked into the backroom. The drink itself was WAY too hot despite me asking for it to be cooler than it is typically served so I could actually drink it. It burned my tongue and I was unable to properly enjoy my drink since my taste buds were incapacitated due to her insolence. She also forgot my whipped cream that I specifically asked for. After the way I was treated, I most definetly won't be coming back to this location. I hope she is able to get some coaching on how to properly treat a customer. read more

Meh, I can't really recommend the coffee or environment here. It was very crowded and the small seating area made it feel like everyone was sitting on top of everyone else. I did like some of the merchandise they had on sale. I bought one of their tumbler glasses and was tempted to buy a coffee cup too.
