Bfast tacos - 3.5/5 good but not special.
    Kayleigh W.

We walked over from Redmond town center and got a spot easily outside at 11ish on a Saturday. Service was prompt and so was the food. The scotch egg was a fun new thing to try and quite tasty. We split it and the bfast tacos, which was plenty of food for 2. A lovely brunch day!

We had pre-Cirque du Soleil brunch reservations as they opened. It's a cute place right by the park. The staff was super friendly and even shared some handmade knit heart necklaces! We ordered salmon benedict, croque madame, beet salad with chicken, and two orders of the banana foster French toast. Drink service was expedient and cordial. We started with an order of the cauliflower which was very tasty. Food came out quickly. All of the dishes were excellent! Our server checked in appropriately and was very pleasant. We really enjoyed brunch at Woodblock and would recommend it.

Yum, yum is honestly all I can think about when I remember today's burger and salad. We stopped here on our way to Costco and I'm so glad we did. We were seated right away, which is always a great start. I was really in the mood for a burger (me being genetically anemic, my body definitely craves red meat), so both my husband and I ordered the aged burger--mine with a gluten free bun and his lettuce-wrapped. We added avocado and jalapeño, and on the side we shared the beet salad. Holy moly... everything was so good. Now I officially have a few favorite burger spots to choose from The restaurant has a super chill, stylish vibe, and I can already tell the outdoor seating in summer must be amazing. We'll definitely be back. Big thank-you to the sweet young lady who took care of us and the young gentleman who seated us and brought our water right away--great service all around!

    Woodblock Burger and Clam Chowder

Nice stop at Woodblock this afternoon after a late morning meeting. Perfect for one that wanted breakfast and one that wanted lunch. Parking was a little work, but that's Redmond's fault! Welcomed and moved to a table right away. Better-half had their namesake burger and cup of chowder, and I had the biscuits and gravy with links, and added a couple poached eggs. Great outer crisp on the biscuits - perfectly pillowy inside, and a really nice gravy. Nice jammy eggs! The burger was fantastic and we'd order again in a minute. Chowder had good flavor, but that 'everyone makes chowder on Fridays and reheats what doesn't sell on Saturday' look to it. (I'd still definitely try it again.) As always, super clean and no 'conversation-pollution', with great natural light. Nice to have? Maybe stash a cpl printed menus, since the WiFi and menu were not cooperating for folks! Another nice-to-have? Half the wall of a TREMENDOUS whiskey offering! !

    Undercooked RAW, Woodblock Burger

Genuinely gross. Who the heck makes blue cheese mac n cheese. Was actually the grossest thing I've ever eaten, tasted like horseradish sauce without the spice and the burger my girlfriend got was undercooked and RED, not pink.

Half eaten scotch egg, still as good as I remembered.

Woodblock continues to be a solid option in Redmond for brunch, happy hour and dinner. I took my parents and kids for brunch to celebrate a birthday and we were able to share a few plates. The brunch portions were decent and everything was tasty. The service was a little slow and I think it had to do with the fact that we sat outside, on the other side of the corralled area. I would avoid that spot, it feels like you are on the street. The table was a bit wobbly as well. Other than that, we had a good meal.

I thought the burrata was really good and the burger was very filling! The truffle fries were definitely worth it. I like how they gave a lot of sauces! Vibes were nice and the service was friendly.

We visited on Saturday night, for dinner, with a group of four adults and two kids and it was a very nice experience. We arrived early and they had the table ready in seconds. The waitress stopped by and took drink orders. We tried Fall Harvest and Lost in Tijuana, both were very tasty. We started with a couple appetizers; The Deviled Scotch Eggs and the Charcuterie Board (added sardines and mousse). Both were well prepared and fresh. Strangely the sardines were simply in an opened tin, they might have presented them a bit better. After that we went with entrees; Caesar Salad and Tomato Soup, Pear Salad with Salmon, Steak and Blue Linguini, Brisket Gnocchi, and kids meals. All were excellent. The service was outstanding. The waitress was friendly, prompt, and professional. She kept up with clearing plates and refills like a champ. Overall, and excellent place for dinner and drinks.

Woodblock Tacos Banana Foster French Toast
    Esther L.

We came for brunch on a Saturday mid morning and were seated pretty quickly. We ordered a Woodblock Tacos and a Banana Foster French Toast. The tacos were tasty and we were quite happy with the portion. The French Toast looked different than what we were expecting - the banana foster part wasn't what we anticipated. The compote was nice and the portion was alright. It was good that we got a sweet and savory to balance out the meal. I don't think. I'd be able to only eat the sweet dish for brunch as it gets to be too heavy after a few bites. The texture of the French Toast was also not what we were expecting, it was more dense and bread/cake like.

    Extra charge

We were a group of 8 people and spent 500+ on food and drink but the service was really terrible. A 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill but they barely provided any service. On top of that they charged tax on gratuity which we haven't experienced anywhere in WA. The food was quite overpriced and for some items they charged more than the published menu price (falafel and chicken wings). They charged 2.5% surcharges plus tax for credit card which they didn't care to mention at the time of payment. Utterly disappointed!

    Avocado toast
    Ann L.

Came for brunch and loved the vibe -- warm, stylish, and welcoming. The avocado toast was fresh and flavorful, and the beet salad was beautifully balanced. I ordered a side of salmon that was forgotten at first, but the server apologized and comped it, which I appreciated. Service was a bit slow, but overall a tasty, relaxed brunch spot with good attention to customer care.

We headed over to Woodblock for our yearly Mother's Day Brunch! And we made the right choice..they had a variety of vegetarian options , good coffee and bright atmosphere with a view of the park. They got us seated right away and happily answered all our questions w.r.t. the menu & our limitations. They were kind enough to swap things that had egg in it with eggless. They gave me a cute bright red flower at the end wishing me a Happy Mother's Day! This place deserves so much more foot traffic & hype! I'm sure to come back with more people soon! Thank you Woodblock for making my day!

Woodblock private barrel Elijah Craig Barrel Proof bourbon
    Jamie G.

I'm in Redmond for a meeting and took the short walk to Woodblock. It was moderately busy but not loud. I opted to sit at the bar so I could marvel at the vast selection of whiskey! I chatted with the bartender and ordered an old fashioned with their own barrel pick of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof bourbon. I love the ECBF, so I was excited to try their private barrel. It was excellent. The bartender also recommended black walnut bitters, which happens to be my favorite, so I was all in. Great drink. They used a large clear ice cube for a great presentation. Highly recommend the cocktails! For dinner I tried their private barrel brisket gnocchi. The gnocchi were soft and delicious. The brisket nice and tender. I added burrata and it really made the dish. Outstanding dinner. After dinner I had another old fashioned. This time I tried Dark Arts bourbon that is finished in French oak rather than American oak. Really nice on the palate. If you are in the area and are looking for a great whiskey bar with good food, check out Woodblock!

    Great old fashioned.

Is the Dinner Menu available for lunch?

Is brunch reservations only or are walk ins possible for the weekend?

You can definitely walk in. I suggest to go right at opening time if you want to be seated right away.

Hi! is your outdoor seating dog friendly?

    Yes! We love dogs.

Are you going to be open for takeout on Thanksgiving? I'd like to support y'all (and not cook!) that day.

We will be closed Thanksgiving so our staff family can rest and be with their households. Thanks for asking!

Are kids allowed? This is for brunch and not an evening or night out

Yes! They're welcome and they have a kids menu. The four cheese mac is a favorite with our five year old.

Is this only a bar? Can my awesome kid join me here?

They do have seating other than bar seating and outside seating so yes your child can join you

My favorite dishes are the PHAD SEE EIW with chicken ($16.25) and the THAI GRILLED BEEF SALAD (cooked medium) ($20.50). The PHAD SEE EIW has the perfect sauce balance of sweet and savory flavors and comes with broccoli and carrot. The noodles are super long and wide so you know they are fresh and not from the box. The THAI GRILLED BEEF SALAD definitely has a kick to it. This dish comes with raw cucumbers, carrots, onions, and basil and is served in a tangy and umami fish sauce vinegar mix. The beef is extremely tasty, tender, and well-marinated. This past visit, my friends and I also tried two new dishes that I've never had at Isarn before- their CHIANG MAI NOODLES (aka Khao Soi) ($17.25) and the MINCED LAMB WITH THAI BASIL ($16.50). The CHIANG MAI NOODLES were beautifully presented with a nest of crunchy egg noodles on top of a creamy yellow curry with soft egg noodles underneath. It was served with pickled mustard cabbage and onions for extra punch of flavor. The MINCED LAMB WITH THAI BASIL reminded me of Vietnamese larb. However, this dish was more savory and less tangy than larb and the basil really shined through. It is quite oily though so make sure to enjoy it with a side of JASMINE RICE ($2.75). Portions are generous for all dishes and I always leave with leftovers. The atmosphere is modern, clean, and trendy. It's a great place for catching up with friends and not too loud. I will say the restaurant is a bit on the darker side, but that's just how they set the ambiance. Service was good and we got our food promptly within 15-20 minutes after ordering. It took a bit of time to waive the waiter down for to-go boxes, but they were attentive otherwise. Note that Isarn doesn't take reservations and it's street parking only. However, they have a waiting list kiosk inside the restaurant and so if they're busy, you can sign up for notifications and walk around the downtown Kirkland shops while you're waiting. Overall: 5/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 5/5 for atmosphere

Went on a Friday night with a group of 5 and waited about an hour before getting seated. Unfortunately, you can't join the waitlist ahead of time and when your table is ready, you gotta be RIGHT THERE as we literally walked in 30 seconds after they called us and didn't leave a message, but the staff informed us that they had given our table away. Luckily, we just got the next one available, but felt like a needlessly stressful experience. Jumbo Firecracker Prawns (4.25/5): Spring rolls and shrimp had a baby. Crunchy outside with tender shrimp and sweet chili sauce - a perfect appetizer to share. Isarn Fried Rice (4.25/5): A fried rice unlike any other. Was my personal favorite dish of the night. The rice kernels were separated into individual grains and coated in grease in the best way possible. I'm a kale hater, but the combination with salted eggs and the purposefully chewy fried steak pieces was just super delicious! Northern Style Sweet Curry (3.75/5): The curry itself is fantastic: super balanced between savory, fragrant, and sweet. The steak chunks unfortunately were just a bit overcooked and chewy. Durian Sticky Rice (4.25/5): Sticky rice has a super satisfying chew and I appreciated that the sauce wasn't overly sweet. Durian itself was sweet and creamy with just a touch funk. If you've never had durian before, this is a fantastic intro.
