Looking for a spot near Kirkland waterfront and found this place. Great atmosphere friendly staff. We sat outside and nice view after the parking lot of the park and waterfront. Ordered mushroom flat bread and it was delicious. Drinks we tried the Keyser Saze and last widow. Both were delicious. Def will come back to this spot. read more

This a great spot and is open late. The ambiance and vibe are classy but casual. The servers are friendly and attentive. The cocktails are outstanding. And the menu has lots of great snacks that can be shared as you sip fancy cocktails. The tater tots are a particular favorite. Definitely a great spot to meetup with some friends. read more

The place is small, intimate. Really ideal for a small group or a couple. The music is a bit loud for conversation, not quite in the background, but we were able to hear one another well enough by leaning in close. The food was delicious. We had the Hawaiian flatbread, edamame (wonderfully spiced), truffle tots, and crudite plate. All were delicious, particularly the onion jam with the veg. The staff were accommodating of our special needs family members. The seating is not terribly comfortable but it fits the casual vibe nicely. We will go back. read more

This wasn't our first choice but when we were turned down at another bar due to seat unavailability, we decided to try them out. We were immediately seated and attended. The server was sweet and friendly and walked us through the taste profile of different cocktails. I ordered the Big nutty Fig which tasted like an old Fashioned but sweeter. As a result, I ordered the Old fashioned after that lol. The other people in my party ordered The Sage Old Fashioned, the Kentucky Mule and straight up Elijah Craig as well. None of the drinks disappointed. We also got the fries with Fetta and Honey and the stake and tomato Flatbread. Very unusual combo but both kick ass. Stopped into Vovina for some drinks and had an awesome time! Service was on point, and the vibe was just right. The outdoor patio is super cool--with plenty of seating and a couple of fire pit tables that make it extra cozy. We had a few shots of Jameson, a Midori Sour, and a Blueberry Lemon Drop--all delicious! Definitely a great spot to chill and sip with good company. read more

Cozy little spot with great vibe! Little longer wait time to get a table and it's first come first serve basis so just have to wait there for a table which can be a little tedious. Cocktails were refreshing and food was good - we got the truffle tots and flatbreads. Flatbreads could use more flavorful toppings but overall good! The dessert was unique and delicious. Definitely a spot where you can enjoy your time and spend hours chatting away with a bottle of wine. read more

I met a girlfriend for happy hour here. We sat outside as it was a beautiful evening. I got the Cucumber gimlet and she got the Jalapeño. They were both delicious drinks and beautifully presented. We shared the Cajun tots, crispy Brussels and the steak bites. The food was very tasty. Our server was very attentive as well. read more

Brussels are still amazing, good drinks, delish steak skewers with a spicy chimichurri sauce, and fun bartenders. Tabitha gets a huge shout out for some inspired drinks off the main list. Such a great place. They have a small patio for outdoor seating as well. read more

Randomly stopped by this place on a nice Friday afternoon and was seated immediately! Carson and Mia were very friendly and working hard to get everything done. The atmosphere was calm and cozy with plenty of seats tucked into every corner. The drinks were amazing (and relatively a few bucks cheaper than some places nowadays). Don't go for Happy Hour because service is terribly slow. (Maybe for non-HH is worth it but I won't be finding out.) If you go, just get a drink. Order you next round when you finally get your first drinks. You will have long finished your first drink before your server comes back. As for food, it's ok but I ate mostly from the HH menu. The flatbread is fine but it's a pizza with an upscale name. As for the tots, why did they take over a half hour? They are generic tots. I can't believe you have that small of a frier or you got so slammed with tot orders to take so long. read more

Great little spot in Kirkland! They have really cool cocktails with fun ingredients and it's always interesting to see what the current offerings are. I recently discovered the French Martinique and LOVE it! A little sweet and very cute presentation. They also have a lovely wine list with something for everything. My friends and I love coming here for happy hour to get a fun cocktail and a few snacks before dinner or to catch up! They have lots of great appetizers to share- I love the tater tots and the hummus platter and have heard great things about the steak bites! It's definitely a hidden gem , conveniently located at the plaza and walking distance to the beach. Ambience was cool , we got to sit outside near the fire . There's a view of the water . Our server/bartender was fantastic! The food was definitely delicious! Unfortunately, we had a little of a Gnat problem in the back corner of the restaurant..(I mean it's summer, it happens) two of them ended up flying into my SO drink so he couldn't finish it (bc gross) but our server happily took that drink off for us. The lighting was a little dim, I love the date night vibes!! Overall very pleasant experience.. I am definitely going to go back to try out some more of their food :) read more

I dropped in last night for a drink on a busy Saturday evening. I got seated right away. This place has a fun menu and very pretty drinks! Cocktails are creative and the prices are reasonable. I did not get food so I can't comment on that. The service was a bit slow. I got my order taken fairly quickly but the drinks took a while to come out. I'll probably come back here. TINY restaurant, TINY staff, TINY tables, TINY portions - HUGE PRICE!!! To the business owner Katy B. who leaves incredibly snarky replies to poor reviews and tries to discredit their legitimacy by claiming that the folks didn't pay their bill or were in a different restaurant than Vovina. I was in your restaurant and I paid - all $70 for my TINY meal and uninspiring drinks! At Vovina on a Wed night for happy hour, $70 will get you: - 1 dirty gin martini - I like gin, I love olives, but I hated the drink. Sent it back sans one taste and one olive and wasn't comped. - 1 of the worst margaritas I ever had - who uses lemon instead of lime without mentioning it? Tasted like watery lemonade served in a highball glass instead of a margarita glass - I would have sent it back but didn't want to pay $19 without getting anything to drink other than water! - 1 small salad with a good-sized chicken breast - 1 "small plate of Brussel sprouts" as it was named on the menu. They were the highlight of the evening. Order ahead and get those for takeout - skip the rest of the experience. Also: TINY restaurant - There was no air-conditioning and very stale unmoving air - scary for COVID. TINY staff - the reviews that say "don't come here for happy hour are 100% correct. I was there from 3:45 - 6:00 pm (yes, it took that long to get and pay for my TINY expensive meal, The red-head female bartender that others have referred to was working her butt off! She was super-pleasant despite having to tend the bar, take orders, and often deliver the food for seven tables (inside and outside). They had one other person bringing out orders. Finally, another server arrived at 6 pm to help serve the 25+ customers. I left a 20% tip (minus the cost of the martini I returned because I felt bad for her). I saw people bussing their own tables. TINY tables - I guess it is good that the portions are so small because the tables are puny and we had to keep shifting our food and empties around so that our 4-person group could eat. Would have been helpful to have more staff to bus tables. I wish that I had read all of the true negative reviews before going. Now all I can do is warn others. read more

Hands down the best Brussels I've ever had! We stopped by for just a drink after dessert but they sounded so good! We ordered the white gummy and the jalepeno (thank you to the great bartender who recommended it) we both loved this drink the white gummy was pretty boring but the cilantro in the jalepeno drink adde that extra oomf and made it a new favorite! The service was great our bartender was so nice and patient since it took us forever to order! Also we actually forgot our card too after leaving and thankfully he noticed and kept it safe for us until we returned definitely will be back! read more

Another night another disappointment at Vovina. Maybe we should stop going there. I asked if we could move from outside to inside and after confirming started moving. They're open on Mondays which is rare. It's actually the reason we chose to go there. The place is a little "dive-y" - a bit beat down. They raved about their charcuterie board but I didn't see anything special (I am not a fan of "meat blocks" on a charcuterie board or anywhere else). Truffle tots was identified as their "prize dish". It was good. Not amazing. Overall, if you're looking for a hang on a Monday - go to Vovina. If you're hanging on a Wednesday, try something else. He was very friendly and attentive. Cocktails were $14 each, little high. Charcuterie was just ok but not worth $24. Wish it had soft cheese as an option and different crackers. Nice little wine bar near the lake. Make sure you stop by at happy hour to get food pricing. Happy hour wine is $6 or $9 for 6 or 9 oz pours. Highly recommend the tots, but the chicken skewers were a little small. Sitting in the patio is certainly a nice way to spend an afternoon. read more

This is a great place to go to impress someone with the chic vibes, but good wine can be found elsewhere at a fraction of the price. I do see the appeal though. Each came around multiple times throughout the tasting to see how we were doing and to discuss the varieties. Both were charming and very nice. The tastings came with $15 credits for any bottles we purchased that day as well as a nicely decorated box of 4 chocolate truffles per person. We ended up buying some great tasting wines - The 2018 Madrigal (a blend of 3 varieties) and a Rose. I have been to NW Cellars previously and LOVE the Malbec and bought a bottle at that time.
