This a great spot and is open late. The ambiance and vibe are classy but casual. The servers are friendly and attentive. The cocktails are outstanding. This wasn't our first choice but when we were turned down at another bar due to seat unavailability, we decided to try them out. We were immediately seated and attended. The server was sweet and friendly and walked us through the taste profile of different cocktails. I ordered the Big nutty Fig which tasted like an old Fashioned but sweeter. As a result, I ordered the Old fashioned after that lol. The other people in my party ordered The Sage Old Fashioned, the Kentucky Mule and straight up Elijah Craig as well. None of the drinks disappointed. We also got the fries with Fetta and Honey and the stake and tomato Flatbread. Very unusual combo but both kick ass. Cozy little spot with great vibe! Little longer wait time to get a table and it's first come first serve basis so just have to wait there for a table which can be a little tedious. Cocktails were refreshing and food was good - we got the truffle tots and flatbreads. Flatbreads could use more flavorful toppings but overall good! The dessert was unique and delicious. Don't go for Happy Hour because service is terribly slow. (Maybe for non-HH is worth it but I won't be finding out.) If you go, just get a drink. Order you next round when you finally get your first drinks. You will have long finished your first drink before your server comes back. As for food, it's ok but I ate mostly from the HH menu. The flatbread is fine but it's a pizza with an upscale name. As for the tots, why did they take over a half hour? They are generic tots. I can't believe you have that small of a frier or you got so slammed with tot orders to take so long. read more

I recently discovered the French Martinique and LOVE it! A little sweet and very cute presentation. They also have a lovely wine list with something for everything. To the business owner Katy B. who leaves incredibly snarky replies to poor reviews and tries to discredit their legitimacy by claiming that the folks didn't pay their bill or were in a different restaurant than Vovina. I was in your restaurant and I paid - all $70 for my TINY meal and uninspiring drinks! At Vovina on a Wed night for happy hour, $70 will get you: - 1 dirty gin martini - I like gin, I love olives, but I hated the drink. Sent it back sans one taste and one olive and wasn't comped. - 1 of the worst margaritas I ever had - who uses lemon instead of lime without mentioning it? Tasted like watery lemonade served in a highball glass instead of a margarita glass - I would have sent it back but didn't want to pay $19 without getting anything to drink other than water! - 1 small salad with a good-sized chicken breast - 1 "small plate of Brussel sprouts" as it was named on the menu. They were the highlight of the evening. Order ahead and get those for takeout - skip the rest of the experience. Also: TINY restaurant - There was no air-conditioning and very stale unmoving air - scary for COVID. TINY staff - the reviews that say "don't come here for happy hour are 100% correct. I was there from 3:45 - 6:00 pm (yes, it took that long to get and pay for my TINY expensive meal, The red-head female bartender that others have referred to was working her butt off! She was super-pleasant despite having to tend the bar, take orders, and often deliver the food for seven tables (inside and outside). They had one other person bringing out orders. Finally, another server arrived at 6 pm to help serve the 25+ customers. I left a 20% tip (minus the cost of the martini I returned because I felt bad for her). I saw people bussing their own tables. TINY tables - I guess it is good that the portions are so small because the tables are puny and we had to keep shifting our food and empties around so that our 4-person group could eat. Would have been helpful to have more staff to bus tables. I wish that I had read all of the true negative reviews before going. Now all I can do is warn others. read more

Hands down the best Brussels I've ever had! We stopped by for just a drink after dessert but they sounded so good! We ordered the white gummy and the jalepeno (thank you to the great bartender who recommended it) we both loved this drink the white gummy was pretty boring but the cilantro in the jalepeno drink adde that extra oomf and made it a new favorite! The service was great our bartender was so nice and patient since it took us forever to order! They raved about their charcuterie board but I didn't see anything special (I am not a fan of "meat blocks" on a charcuterie board or anywhere else).
