    Wine!
    Pete R.

We went here with a Groupon. Probably one of the best Groupon deals ever. Two tastings of 4 wines and two bottles of wine. The owner came out and chatted with us, told us a little history of where they get their wines. The wines were great. We will be back again and are looking at their website to order wines https://www.northwestcellars.com

Don't let the area fool you. This is a little gem stuck back in a strip mall that to the eye doesn't look great. With their wine tasting ($10), we tried four wines off of their menu. They had a nice selection of reds, whites and a rose. Our experience was great. The staff was friendly and helpful, even bringing two more wines for me to try after my original four. All of the wines were delicious. I ended up buying a bottle of the Malbec (surprise! Usually I'm a white drinker). When I left I realized they only charged me for the bottle I bought and no tasting fee. Even with large tasting portions and two extras! Plus the Malbec was on sale and under $20. I will come back.

We were impressed with the Excellent 4 wines tastings that included information cards. The cards had landscape pictures that is quite unique and wine details. Bob is very knowledgeable about wines and available to answer questions.. We learn about the chocolate and wine pairing event in October and booked the event without hesitation. Looking forward to the local hand made chocolates! It's a treat to support our local business.

An absolutely fantastic place! We went on Valentine's Day for a tasting and had the best time. Everything from the service to the selection was A++++. Everyone was kept at a distance and all covid protocols were followed. They have something for everyone with their extensive selection & they're always there to help you narrow down which to try. The Fortissimo was my absolute favorite- I highly recommend trying that one! Will definitely be back again!

The wine was great and the people who work there are so nice! The atmosphere was in limbo due to a flood, but they're making the best of the situation. I look forward to going back in the future!

My mother bought my partner and I tickets to a wine tasting fundraiser at Northwest Cellars. The event raised money for the International Essential Tremor Foundation (IETF). My mother suffers from essential tremors, as does the owner of Northwest Cellars, Bob Delf. She was excited to help a good cause, while giving us the opportunity to meet someone who has a similar medical condition. All proceeds of the wine tasting went directly to IETF, in addition to 40% off sales of two specific bottles. Northwest Cellars is hidden behind the Totem Lake Mall in an industrial-looking area. Luckily, they had signs with arrows to follow in order to find the small strip mall shop. Once you step inside, you forget about its bland location. Award ribbons and metals cover the front wall (if you don't believe, see all the awards listed here: http://www.northwestcellars.com/wines/awards.html). A tasting bar is found to the left, while a large room with a piano and local artist paintings decorating the walls can be found to the right. Bob participates in many different fundraisers of interest like IETF and for pets like Kirkland's Humane Society, Dogs of Kirkland. Wine tasting is normally $5, however, this fee is refunded when a bottle purchase is made. A tasting includes 5 of their award-winning wines. You can choose from red or white. All of their bottles feature custom labels with local art, in addition to fundraiser labels when appropriate. My partner and I really enjoyed two of the reds, Intrigue (lighthouse image) and Petite Syrah (Yakima Valley image), while I poured down my favorite white, the Viognier (Snipe Mountains image). If you would like to give a specific bottle as a gift, they allow you to create your own custom labels (perfect idea for business gifts or weddings) and provide shipping! Check out Northwest Cellar's events on their webpage (http://www.northwestcellars.com/events.html). If you become a fan of their wines, you have the option to join their text list or Cellar Rats Club. You'll be the first to hear about their Happy Hours. Better yet, Yelpers can take advantage of the $15 for $25 Yelp Deal!

On our first visit, we were helped by Josh. It was a slower afternoon, so we got to chat and really enjoy the experience. He was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and made everything feel relaxed and fun. We tried a wide variety of wines and even sampled some of their whiskeys...and we loved them so much that we bought several bottles to take home as well as a fun vanilla whiskey. If I'm being honest they didn't last long haha We enjoyed the experience so much that we signed up for the wine club (and didn't regret it the next day c) A couple of weeks later, we came back and were helped by primarily Brandon. Someone named Evie (sp?) was also there and I believe.. Seth? Who was off the clock but also brought amazing energy. Everyone was so genuinely nice and just honest and thoughtful about the wines and happy to share a bit about the vineyard's background and philosophy around generosity and hospitality which I also loved learning about. Overall, this has quickly become one of our favorite spots. Great wine, fun whiskey, and genuinely kind people who make you want to come back. TL;DR: Bought multiple bottles (they disappeared fast), joined the wine club, fell in love with a special vanilla whiskey, and had nothing but great experiences with the staff. Highly recommend!

It's a winery with vast outdoor gardens, lawns, and places to enjoy the spring and summer weather. Inside is a massive area with plenty of tables to listen to live music usually every weekend that goes throughout the fall and winter. They have some amazing wine offerings. Plenty of options on the cellar wall or chilled in the fridge. Our personal favorite is the White Cabernet Sauvignon. Service is quick and efficient, though we often just skip the bar - grab a bottle and checkout at the main register area where you will also get glasses. Take the bottle outside or grab a table, or if the venue open for one of the summer concerts, definitely worth going inside the main winery area instead of the vendors outside with limited options. Summer concert series is hit and miss. Can bring some great options and acoustics are great! However, sometimes the seats are absurdly high priced - and the crowd around you can be a mixed bag that seemingly just buys the season pass for all the concerts instead of going for a specific event. Overall - great place to go, if you can catch a concert, within your budget, definitely go! One of the better outdoor venues in Western WA.

Yes -- glasses ran between $16-$18. They are pouring their run of the mill table wines here. They also had food menus on the tables, which you order from the bar and have brought out to you. First of all, what a beautiful space--very cozy outside with the firepits (it was too cold for us to use ), but the indoor space was spacious and had multiple rooms with very tasteful holiday decorations. We didn't get to explore too much outside, but we were told of its uniqueness. Our server was informative, high energy, and checked on us a lot. We were able to try their charcuterie platter and truffle popcorn to snack on. Wines were tasty and we were able to bring some home, although we were not able to partake in the big holiday savings. I believe this tasting room is usually reserved for its wine club members, but there are occasional openings to the public. As mentioned in other reviews, they do not have a lot of parking so you'll have to carpool with your party. It seems well executed in the parking lot area, however, we accidentally parked at the bottom of the hill (maybe staff parking) and had a short hike up to the tasting room. A little stressful coming down after the tasting in the dark, but it made for a fun adventure. We'll definitely be back when it's warmer out!
