So fun seeing the a Makgeoli brewery in the Seattle area! I've visited the one in NY and was super excited to see one open so close to me! We went on a Sunday afternoon without reservation and were seated immediately. There's plenty of parking spaces outside and space is very well decorated with the authentic makgeoli bowls and their merch. We ordered makgeoli flight and got dried fish and kimchi pancake fot anju. Our server was very kind and informative and went over the brewing process with us in details. Food was nothing special but paired very well with the flights and prices were fair. Im definitely coming back to try some of their cocktail menu and their makgeoli float

So exciting to see a Korean winery/brewery in the area! I don't think there are any others that I know of. I enjoy makgeolli from time to time as it goes well with food. The winery itself was easy to find, and had plenty of parking. My friends and I opted for the Seasons of Sook flight and the Terroir Tides flight. Out of all the different ones we tasted, the Yakju definitely was my favorite. I definitely would love to come back and try the cocktails from their menu though! Maybe even take a tour as well. As for the food, we had the savory pancake, the kimchi spam musubi, and the mak ice cream float. The ice cream float was my fav, and so out of the box. I would never have thought to add ice cream to makgeolli hehe. The service was also wonderful, Peter was very informative and explained the brewing process to us as well as our flights very well. Crazy to think that only three ingredients are used!

Rainbrew is a great spot in Woodinville that serves brewed Korean rice wine such as makgeolli. If you haven't tried this before, this is your chance! Its somewhat creamy and it is very easy to drink. You can try various flights here and I chose the Terroir tides flight that features some drinks with mugwort. I think I enjoyed the Takju the best which has a hint of melon and sweetness. I also tried their seasonal apple makgeolli which was probably my favorite. It was just enough sweetness and creamy with its flavor. They space has a bar area as well and tables for bigger groups. They very kindly explained the process of making the rice wine with samples of the rice in jars. Overall I think this is a great spot and I look forward to visiting again.

Unexpected makgeolli bar in Woodinville. I love that the owners are so passionate about makgeolli. She explained the different makgeolli flavors and how the processes are different when I ordered the makgeolli flight. The food is good for small bites to go along with the makgeolli. Personally, some of the makgeolli was a little too strong for me but I could appreciate the work went into creating the makgeolli

I've visited a couple more times since the soft opening. I really enjoy pulling up and sitting at the bar and having a couple of their fun cocktails and snacks/bar food. They're all made with their popular takju brew. The Bright & Stormy is a favorite. During my last visit I learned from one of the owners, Sophia, that there are only two known Korean rice wine breweries in the US. I later looked it up. Rainbrew is the Pacific Northwest's first makgeolli brewery and the second makgeolli tasting room in the country. We have something special here!

I've never had makgeolli before but always hear my wife talk about it from her k-dramas. Was glad to hear there is a local Korean rice wine brewery right here in Woodinville, so we stopped by their tasting room tucked behind McLendon Hardware. Their Seasons of Sool flight seemed the way to go, and I had mixed feelings. Makgeolli had an odd aftertaste like fermented straw that I'm sure is what it's supposed to be, but I didn't care for it. Jinju had the same aftertaste but it went well with the veggie pancake that we ordered so that was better. Takju was also better, not as fruity as makgeolli but no aftertaste. Favorite was the clear golden Yakju, more like the white wines of nearby wineries. I'm curious about their cocktails so I want to go back and try those. Service was friendly all around, I appreciate their patience explaining each of the wines.

I'm Korean, so I may be biased. But a craft makgeolli distillery within an hour of home?!?! Pinch me! Also, everything is delicious. The highlights for me are the makgeolli and the takju. Definitely worth a stop for some Korean drinking snacks and unique rice wines. Recommend the Korean pancakes. There is literally no western equivalent I can think of

Good rice wine, good food, friendly people, cute space. This is an actual brewery close to all the other Woodinville breweries, so the location is in an office park. We showed up at 7 pm and were the first people there, but when we left at 10 it was full, there are just a few tables and some counter seats. The rice wine was very nice, we each tried a different flight, got a few bottles for later. The food was ramen and small plates, enjoyed the tuna rice, spam musubi and kimchi pancake, the fish crisps were a little strong flavored but they did go with the stronger rice wines. The family that runs the brewery were super nice.

It's a winery with vast outdoor gardens, lawns, and places to enjoy the spring and summer weather. Inside is a massive area with plenty of tables to listen to live music usually every weekend that goes throughout the fall and winter. They have some amazing wine offerings. Plenty of options on the cellar wall or chilled in the fridge. Our personal favorite is the White Cabernet Sauvignon. Service is quick and efficient, though we often just skip the bar - grab a bottle and checkout at the main register area where you will also get glasses. Take the bottle outside or grab a table, or if the venue open for one of the summer concerts, definitely worth going inside the main winery area instead of the vendors outside with limited options. Summer concert series is hit and miss. Can bring some great options and acoustics are great! However, sometimes the seats are absurdly high priced - and the crowd around you can be a mixed bag that seemingly just buys the season pass for all the concerts instead of going for a specific event. Overall - great place to go, if you can catch a concert, within your budget, definitely go! One of the better outdoor venues in Western WA.

We stopped in for glasses of wine since we didn't want to splurge on a full tasting, and I appreciated that this was an option. We didn't have a reservation and arrived on a quiet, rainy Sunday, though I can imagine this place filling up quickly on sunny days or holidays. Was it more expensive than expected? Yes -- glasses ran between $16-$18. They are pouring their run of the mill table wines here. They also had food menus on the tables, which you order from the bar and have brought out to you. Overall, a lovely place to visit and experience, especially if you're already a fan of the brand.

Located in Woodinville's newish trendy neighborhood, Woodin Creek Village, Bayernmoor is nestled among several tasting rooms so I had never noticed them before. My bad! First, I really enjoyed the ambiance here. It was modern elegance, with our reserved seating area featuring comfy seating on low chairs and couches. It was hard to pick from among their many wine tasting options - including several including accompanying bites. Nom nom! I settled on a tasting flight of whites, and my work colleague ordered us some tasty nibbles from their extensive appy menu. We especially enjoyed their upscale cheese & charcuterie board, their burrata with grilled bread, and an order of charred root vegetables with a delightful harissa sauce. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. The wines, of course, were delish. And our server was top notch - always there with the next tasting and to answer our questions about what to order. I'll definitely be back!

First of all, what a beautiful space--very cozy outside with the firepits (it was too cold for us to use ), but the indoor space was spacious and had multiple rooms with very tasteful holiday decorations. We didn't get to explore too much outside, but we were told of its uniqueness. Our server was informative, high energy, and checked on us a lot. We were able to try their charcuterie platter and truffle popcorn to snack on. Wines were tasty and we were able to bring some home, although we were not able to partake in the big holiday savings. I believe this tasting room is usually reserved for its wine club members, but there are occasional openings to the public. As mentioned in other reviews, they do not have a lot of parking so you'll have to carpool with your party. It seems well executed in the parking lot area, however, we accidentally parked at the bottom of the hill (maybe staff parking) and had a short hike up to the tasting room. A little stressful coming down after the tasting in the dark, but it made for a fun adventure. We'll definitely be back when it's warmer out!
