We had a marvelous experience last weekend for Valentine's Day! We were cutting it close upon our reservation time but we made it! I saw that Hearth was having a Valentine's Day 3 course meal! I made a reservation a few weeks in advance and they messaged me a couple of days beforehand to let me know the menu offerings which I thought were really nice and showed quality impeccable preparation! We truly enjoyed the wild mushroom tartlet, both entrees (lobster saffron risotto and the chicken roulade) followed by the desserts of chocolate crème de pan and the basque cheesecake! We also loved the wine pairings with all the courses! My favorite was one of the dessert wines. Our server was fantastic and the team is so friendly! The ambiance is dim lit but very pretty inside. It was a full house by the time we were eating! It's my second time at Hearth but bf's first and he really enjoyed it :) We'd love to stay at the Heathman one day too! We will be back! read more

Bar and restaurant connected to the Heathman Hotel. Not the experience I was expecting... Unfortunately, the food and drinks really fell short during our visit. I ordered a glass of wine off the menu, and their choices of wine by the glass were not good. We also tried a few appetizers; they were okay enough that we finished them, but there was absolutely nothing memorable or worth ordering a second time. The actual setup of the place is nice, it has a beautiful bar area and an outdoor seating space for nice weather. However, the vibe just wasn't incredibly welcoming. To make matters worse, the staff was very mediocre and not super friendly, which really dragged down the whole experience. I really wanted to have a better experience here given how perfect the location is, but based on this visit, I wouldn't recommend it. With so many other welcoming spots within walking distance in Kirkland, you are better off looking elsewhere for good drinks and a friendly vibe. read more

Had a wonderful experience at Hearth at the Heathman Hotel. A special shout-out to Kenny P., the Director of Food & Beverage--his leadership really shows in the quality, hospitality, and overall vibe. As someone who eats plant-based, I was genuinely impressed by the options and how accommodating the team was. The tomato soup was so comforting and flavorful, and the breads were excellent. Thank you for having tofu (so appreciated!) and a fresh salad with that bright lemon dressing--simple, clean, and delicious. Had never been to Hearth before but went to a special Easter buffet event- awesome experience! The service was outstanding, price was reasonable, and food was great. Really nice atmosphere with outdoor seating with fire tables. There is a very convenient parking garage nearby, although it's a little pricey. Will definitely return again even though it's a little bit of a drive for us. read more

Weekend brunch menu is not extensive but has all the favorites. My wife and our friend both ordered the turkey sandwich and absolutely loved it! Good portion of turkey matched well with the havarti cheese, garlic mayo, and cranberry sauce. I had their Hearth Breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, potato, and sourdough bread. Scrambled eggs were very creamy, I imagine this is how Gordon Ramsay makes his. Appreciated them making the bacon extra crispy how I like it, but the bread slices were paper thin. We finished off with beignets which came out hot and fresh, and we preferred the creme anglaise dip to the raspberry preserves. Service was friendly and took care of our needs quickly. read more

Went to Hearth for Seattle restaurant week, and had a nice experience. Ambience is nice - it's in the Heathman hotel and it's located right across from a free garage. The waitstaff was friendly, and the starters were good - roasted vegetable salad and a seafood soup. My preserved lemon risotto was definitely on the tarter side - seemed like regular rather than Arborio rice but balanced nicely with the purée underneath. My favorite was the crème brûlée dessert! We liked the food but didn't love it and I don't know if we'll be back for the price point. read more

Chris was spot on as was the PNW scramble and pork belly hash! Delicious as my husband kept humming indicating he was enjoying his breakfast! The PNW scramble is a beautiful blend of salmon, eggs, spinach and a cream sauce. It came with potatoes (also great) and sour dough bread. You must try the Bonne Maman blueberry preserves that come with it. The pork belly hash has pork belly, mushrooms, pickled onions, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce, with potatoes. I purchased the bacon cheeseburger with fries and a charcuterie board. Excellent burger. Not greasy, fresh meat not frozen and yummy bun. Fries had the right crunch outside and soft inside. We love Kirkland! If you've been here you may have heard about the Heathman Hotel. Small hotel with a lot of character. Well, Hearth is the hotel restaurant. In a sunny day the terrace is perfect!!! However they do have heaters for cold days. It's a little bit pricey but the food quality is excellent. Reservations are highly recommended. Most of their brunch choices are made out of eggs. They do have kids menu and crayons to keep them busy. Uh oh... what happened hearth?! I really wanted the level this restaurant had to remain the same but unfortunately I ended up hungry going home... I know tragic so let's explain beignets... oh boy, it was far far too dense I don't think I've had anything like this, and you know it's bad when even the kids don't finish the plate Chicken and waffle Benedict... umm ssooo my eggs were so blatantly over cooked it was embarrassing so I asked for runny which they gave (thank you awesome service lady) it barely had any hollandaise which was actually nice when I could find it and the waffles were umm not great, not golden, not fluffy in the inside. Restaurant itself is mid at best. Nothing stands out on the menu and vibe is too chaotic. However our server Candice was absolutely incredible! She was so sweet and kind and took amazing care of us. She made the experience much more worth our while. From snippets of conversations we overheard, I can infer that Candice is the lady who keeps this placing running. Others were going to her for questions and clarifications rather than the manager who was on the floor. Also she's an ARMY so of course she's awesome. Our stay at the hotel was nice but the restaurant was not to standard. Our first breakfast there was during a weekday, July 4th. We were one of the few early bird there. I ordered a breakfast burrito and my wife ordered the skillet. I was immediately informed that they didn't have chorizo said sausage was fine. After a 20-25 wait our order finally came. Pretty slow for a near empty restaurant. The burrito was large and the potatoes were well cooked and crunchy outside and perfect inside. It's one of the best breakfast potatoes I ever had. The best is the Pantry in DTLA. My wife's was ok, the eggs were a bit over cooked but again, her potatoes were great. The breakfast burrito itself was very good, with eggs, sausage, avocado and same potatoes all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. After a few days, I had a craving for the potatoes and decided to place a room order of burritos "to go" before we checked out. The called me back and told me that the burrito was not available during the weekends, because they didn't have the ingredients. Uhhhh! What didn't they have ? Eggs?, Sausages?, avocados, potatoes, or the Tortillas? That's a poor excuse. Just said the weekend cook don't know how to make a burrito would have been a better excuse. So we ended up ordering a scrambled and I got the breakfast sandwich. Which I had to substitute the brioche to a sourdough. Unfortunately I didn't check when my order came to my room 10 minutes later, we checked out and left to the airport. When we finally opened the boxes the anticipation of those crunchy potatoes came to an end. Instead we got barely fried potatoes that was soft and boring. And they didn't substitute my bread to sourdough. Meanwhile my wife got her scrambled and the potatoes was also the same poorly cooked potatoes. I think I got a Pomegranate Paloma, and it had egg whites in it, so not sure if that's what gave the drink a weird smell and aftertaste, or if it was the smell of the glass. I also tried the Frosé, which was good, but gave me a few painful brain freezes. For food, l got the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich. I desperately want to like this place because I love the location, the Heathman, and like the menu. But it hasn't gotten any better since my initial visit. I went for happy hour and waited over 5 minutes to be greeted by the host. And they were not busy at all. We finally got a table, but didn't see a waiter for a long time. When our server finally came, he was super rude. He made a big fuss about turning the outdoor heater on (it was 48 degrees and they only offered us outdoor seating) and didn't know what the happy hour cocktail was. It ended up being a strawberry margarita and it was terrible. I asked if he could make the burrata gluten free by substituting the crackers and he flat out said "nope." So I said I'd be fine with cut veggies or another option or just having it without the crackers and he said "we aren't going to do that." It was so weird! How hard would it have been to bring me a plate with no crackers? Upon looking further into the menu, they do offer cut veggies and gluten free options so it's strange that he was so curt and rude when I asked. It felt like he just wanted to get me off his back instead of being helpful. And I wouldn't have asked if they were busy but there were barely any tables with people seated. I ended up getting olives and almonds which was fine, but it's impossible to screw that up. Didn't end up staying for dinner since the service was slow and rude and we weren't enjoying our drinks. Disappointing Experience on Valentine's Night I had high hopes for this restaurant, but our experience was nothing short of frustrating. Despite having a reservation, we were seated 15 minutes late, while couples without reservations were given tables before us. When we were finally seated, it was at a large table for six, which completely ruined the intimate Valentine's dinner we had planned. To make matters worse, the hostess later asked if we would share our table with other guests. I politely declined, as we specifically wanted a private dinner. From that point on, it felt like we were being punished. Our food took over an hour to arrive, while other tables that were seated after us were served much faster--even though they ordered from the same Valentine's menu. When I asked the waiter if our order had been lost, he claimed the kitchen was backed up, but that excuse didn't hold up considering what we were seeing around us. By the time our food finally arrived, we were already frustrated--and to top it off, it wasn't even worth the wait. Mediocre food and terrible service. We won't be coming back. read more

I ordered the braised short rib to go for a celebration dinner. This was described as coming with butternut squash, roasted turnip, honey poached cranberries and rosemary jus. The short rib was moist and delicious, even after being reheated with the jus in a covered glass dish once home. However, the butternut squash was largely lacking as truly there was no more than one tablespoon of it total. From a photo posted in another review, it looked like there was at least enough for several fork fulls, tho sadly not mine. For some reason, the take out container didn't fit flat in the bag, hence the way it looks in the photo. So I did waver between 3 & 4 stars, but the short rib flavor and moistness took it over the top. And also any restaurant practicing safe social distancing to help keep patrons safe earns an extra star - which made up for the lacking butternut squash and sideways takeout container. read more

We stayed one night and had the three-course Christmas meal. My overall rating was 4, which is probably reasonable given that the hotel is a four-star hotel. Obviously, some things were 5 and some were 3. The Christmas dinner exceeded expectations in terms of flavor. The cauliflower soup was fantastic, as was the duck confit and chocolate desert. Where am I having problems? The service and ambiance. The service was uncoordinated; we were ignored for the first 20 minutes, but all of their servers for the night said hello in 5 minutes and stated they will be with us quickly. The lady indicated she would be our server tonight, and then a gentleman hurriedly asks, "What do you want!?" After 30 minutes of not being helped, he storms in, unarticulated, and takes orders on a whim. A minute later, the lady arrives, apologizing for the wait and making lengthy introductions; we listen, apologize, and inform her that someone has already taken our order. Then I wait for my wine, and the soup is cold. As I finish my soup and prepare for the meal, the server accidently takes my knife. I never expect perfection, but for a special night with at least $150.00 per person, a little extra attention to detail is necessary. The servers were dressed in Hawaiian shirts with Santa and ugly Christmas sweaters, there was no music, and it felt like we're in a cramped warehouse setting. Due to the unclear atmosphere, the majority of guests dressed in workout clothing. The concierges have been fantastic. read more

Picked up our Thanksgiving meal at Hearth today. Every single person was kind and quick to answer questions. And I got to chat with Donald, executive chef?, who checked our order and even gave us an additional order of short ribs. As far as the food, every single dish was excellent, particularly the short ribs! I had my 3 sons home from college, and my parents. Every person was completely impressed with the meal and there was enough food for leftovers. Can't thank the staff enough for working on this holiday and making our meal so special! We had a reservation, and yet we waited for over 20 minutes for a server to come over and get drinks started. I had to track a waiter down, who was kind enough to eventually take over service for our table of two. The drinks took over 10 minutes to arrive, and dinner took over 40. We had to flag down the waiter the three times we spoke with him. We nearly missed the show we were going to see. The food was excellent, but the inattentive service will prevent us from returning. We had a similar experience a handful of years ago, but I assumed that had been an off night and/or it was the impact of staffing shortages. Really disappointed that nothing has changed read more
