Truck

Food truck in San Francisco China Basin area. I ordered the beef classic philly with everything. Sandwiche was dry. Tasted pre- made, cold, no cheese, little onion, and chili peppers. They had can sodas. Service was fairly quick because this is a food truck. You buy food and sit in the general picnic table area. Overall, food was 2 stars. It is convenient because there are other food trucks to try. Overall, 3 stars out of 5.

Paid $8 for garlic fries with this portion. Seriously?? I know you pay premium for food truck but still...

While in Oakland, with my family on a beautiful Saturday afternoon; we went searching for the best Philly cheese steak sandwiches in town. Spotting this food truck in downtown Oakland was right on time. Not only did the menu have exactly what we were looking for, but it had so much more. I decided upon the Philly sliders with a side a French fries. AMMMMAAAAAAAZZZZINNNNGGGGG! The meat was so flavorful; seasoned well, and I love that I was able to add extra sweet peppers free of charge. My son had a classic Philly and pretty much inhaled it in 2.5 seconds, he loved it. Other food items we tried were the Buffalo Chicken Philly and it was delicious as well. If I could give an extra 5 stars I would. Well hell; why not ! The facility was impeccably clean and spotless; which is always key. The owner/cook, Edward, was very nice and personable. He even offered to take a nice picture of us. Who does that?! So sweet. To make a long story short; the food is awesome, the truck is clean, and the owner is very nice. We will be back again and again until we try everything on the menu. Great experience.

Steak fries

Food does not like appetizing at all . I got steak fries with cheese and cheese sauce the taste was very mediocre. I had them a few months ago and have been waiting to run into them again and was sadly disappointed.

WonderPhilly had me feelin' WONDERFUL on a Friday night after 4 hours of dancing and drinking! :: WHOA!:: I must be getting old because Frist Fridays in Oakland wore me OUT! After wobbling out of the bars onto Telegraph, I noticed the long line at WonderPhilly and wanted to see what all the fuss was about! As my girlfriends were standing on the corner making commotion as to where we were going to go next; I politely and soundlessly escaped their sight and walked to where my nose smelled the good food aroma! WonderPhilly is located on the side of the Fox Theater on Telegraph. It's a black-owned restaurant that serves delicious hot and fresh 12-inch Philly cheesesteaks that are to die for. As I knew I couldn't make it back to the ladies empty-handed, I ordered a 12 inch Philly cheesesteak with everything on it (and made sure that it was cute in half so the ladies can have their own piece to share); and I ordered the biggest order of fries since I knew I would have to share the meal. The order was reasonable and came out to $13 and I stood on the side and waited for them to freshly make my order. **Now, Wonderphilly not only serves Philly Cheesesteak, but they also serve hot links, nachos, and sandwiches! However, if you have never tried them before, I suggest you start with the cheesesteak and work your tummy down the menu!** 15 mins of waiting and my order was finally called. Oh Lawd, if I had it my way, I would have hidden in the corner and took the whole meal down! However, I knew if I was gone for too long, the ladies would have figured out I escaped. So, I went back; but before I did that, I made sure to cute the Philly in half so it was clear that I was only sharing one half of my sammich! Good thing I did that because once I walked back to the group and they smelled the good food aroma, everyone's hands were in my food bag! I kindly pulled out the half of sammich and handed it to the 6 ladies in the group and watched all of them each takes a bite (of heaven) wishing they had more! I would have thought it was choir show because they all asked in unison, "Where did you get that from!" I kindly smirked as I walked away with my Philly cheesesteak in my left and my bag of fries in my right hand and ate my food in peace. I knew right then and there, that I was in LOVE with WonderPhilly! I will definitely be trying more of their menu as they are located in Hayward! This place is LIFE!

My go-tos are the Cali-style burrito with asada and the Xingones nachos (with extra cheese). Good quality ingredients and portions that are generous enough that I almost always have leftovers. Plus, the prices are fair for what you get.

I ordered a California style burrito to go - no cheese, no sour cream, please. I was surprised that it took a solid 15+ minutes to prepare when the place was basically dead but I figured hey, maybe they hadn't been open that long and still were getting set up in the kitchen or whatever. So I got my lunch and rushed back to work with my burrito in just enough time for a few bites before my meeting. Took a glance at the receipt stapled to my bag and was alarmed to see that it said no sour cream but didn't say anything about no cheese. Cut the burrito open and, yep, cheese. Look, I've worked food service, I know how it is. I know it can be stressful and it's easy to make mistakes when you're busy. The restaurant was NOT BUSY. There was literally nobody else waiting ahead of me. Nobody else came in the entire time I was waiting for my burrito. There is absolutely no good reason that the person punching in my order couldn't have taken the time to read the screen and make sure that the order was punched in correctly. I'm can't eat dairy, I had to throw the burrito away. I'm not the kind of person to make frivolous complaints but this was such an unforced error, and I tipped 25% - ON A TAKEOUT ORDER - for food I can't eat. Now it's 4pm and I just got out of three hours of straight meetings and the first thing on my mind is typing up this review because this legit messed up my day. Xingones management, train your workers better. I'm in walking distance of your restaurant and I'm never coming back because I can't trust y'all to get a very simple order correct even on a slow day. Good luck.

There's a great variety of food trucks lined up in front of the Oakland museum. I'm always partial to the Southern Comfort restaurant. I've had their po'boys, shrimp, and heavenly seasoned fries. But I also love when Señor Sisig and anything that sells ice cream make an appearance. Customer service is always awesome and as fast as they can with the amount of people that show up. Highly recommend going to this weekly event at least once!

I got over my fear when Shakeel, the Market Ambassador at that time convince me to come. Even the other Market Ambassador Elon kept me company making sure I was OK at the market. I will admit every Friday Night I am at Off the Grid outside the Oakland Museum of California. I will admit I overdid it by checking out the exhibits at the museum weekly where I made a friend Preston, the Emcee at the Oakland Museum of California. Over 10 different food trucks to chose from. The highest food trucks they had at the market was up to 20 during the summer time. It is worth coming down to Oakland Museum to see all the different food trucks they have. I will admit I miss the past Market supervisor that ran the market (Adam, Alex, Paul, Henley, whomever ran the market that I can not remember their names). Ben, the current supervisor got this market running smoothly. I been enjoying the market. What makes this market to go to on Friday Night compared to going to Fort Mason is discount on museum tickets. You have a museum to go to while getting food from the food trucks. They also have a garden where children can run around in. The live music at the Oakland Museum of California is amazing. It is worth checking it out. This is the market to check out Friday Night.

I got the garlic shrimp and noodles and it's so good. It comes with a sauce on the side that is amazing. The portions for $17 are also insane. The plate is huge and could last you at least two meals. Don't come here if you can't do the long wait for amazing food. The people running this are nice but there are only 3 of them serving everyone so be patient and you will be rewarded with the best plate of food you've had in a while.

Beef skewers 3.8/5, good but nothing to brag home about or drive out the way for. Garlic noodles 2/5, overcooked soggy noodles w/ fake butter and garlic, not worth the calories or carb consumption. Shrimp 3.5/5, hot and crispy, crack sauce was mid. Needed more lime. 2 bites and was done. Gave it to a homeless person nearby. Service - Friendly. Wait time was 25-30 min. They need to revamp their menu/food photos. Pretty bad quality and size. If you park on the side road, they will bring it to your car. Not sure why the wait is long, the only thing piping hot was the shrimp. Everything else was just warm. Ambiance - Mural was beautiful. VERY DIRTY picnic table and benches, loud music, and across the street from the bart station. I had high hopes for this place especially it being family owned, but the influencers must be getting free food or something to hype this up because this was not it. There's so many better options in Oak. Sorry won't be back.
