Every time I think about their chicken tenders and pancakes, my mouth starts salivating. This family run business has it all, great service, excellent food and reasonable prices. They have the most moist chicken tenders (with different sauce dips), smacking Mac and cheese and oh so fluffy pancakes with homemade sauce. I am so happy to see their cart popping up at the local events now. If you're looking for them to cater your events, you can't go wrong with the perfectly savory fried and seasoned tenders and balance it out with the buttery pancakes. Next time you see their elegant cart, don't pass it up because they're serving up the best comfort food.

I like to look for new spins on lattes to see what barista's are whipping up to make things unique. I came in thinking I was going to get a basic latte, but the Borgia Mocha caught my eye! I asked the cashier if it was a good choice and she recommended it. I was a little unsure how the two would blend and how much orange they would use in it, but it came out amazing! Honestly probably one of the top 10 unique mocha's I have tried and it was delicious! I loved the burst of refreshing orange that complimented the chocolate. The flavors danced on my tastebuds like two separate flavors that blended together as one. Each holding their own note that added value to the drink making it unique. I was instantly impressed and wish I found this on more menus! A classic mocha with a refreshing twist of orange was a pleasant surprise! I'm so glad I stopped in for a pick me up! I also loved all the art on the large walls and there looked to be plenty of tables and seating for people to eat and work at.

Was meeting up with a friend from Berkeley and he found this spot in between the both of us. Pros and cons! + The coffee - holy shit. Got a cortado. And drank it without sugar it was so good. A touch of bitter (it's coffee - duh!) but so smooth, almost nutty but buttery at the same time. + Got a chicken salad sandwich. It came stacked HIGH with hints of sweetness and curry. Freshest produce. Honestly, I was hungry but could only eat half of it, it was so big. + Friend got a warmed cinnamon bun. Incredible. Yeasty, chewy almost crisp on the outside but pillowy soft on the inside. + Wide open space inside -- high ceilings, one big central area. Not tucked away spaces -- which might or might not match your preference. + Perfect amount of coffeehouse buzz. Music playing lowish in the background and lots of conversations. Just enough to quell my ADHD tendencies. * Honestly can't think of any negatives. Prices are a bit high but happy to pay it for such a quality experience. I think my cortado was decently priced -- maybe $6 or so? Sandwich was $18 or so but done really well and came with a bowl of soup (chips, fruit, and something else was an option instead of soup, but tomato bisque with a sandwich? Divine.) - An hour away from where I live but if you live anywhere East Bay, my curse is your blessing ;-)

Baby Cafe does not disappoint when it comes to its Hainan chicken. My wife and I dropped by for…read morelunch at 12:30 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon with some friends and we were able to immediately get seated at a table. Between the two of us, we ordered a whole Hainan chicken -- knowing that we'd have enough leftovers for dinner later that evening, as well as a baked fish fillet over rice. Like all baked entrees, you should expect to wait around 20 minutes or so for the dish to be prepared. If you anticipate being hungry during the extended wait, I'd recommend ordering some snacks as well, like popcorn chicken or some curry fish balls. The baked fish fillet here is absolutely delicious. If you enjoy Korean corn cheese, this dish feels like corn cheese over rice, with a perfectly crispy fish filet on top, smothered with a white cream sauce. This dish is incredibly rich and each bite feels like a warm hug. You'll definitely be in the mood for a nap after finishing this dish. The Hainan chicken here is probably some of the best in the Bay. The chicken skin has the gelatinous texture of well-prepared Hainan chicken, and the chicken itself is incredibly moist and tender. The chickens they serve up are absolutely massive and a whole chicken should comfortably feed a family of four. The ginger scallion sauce on the side could use a touch of salt, but that's just my personal preference for things to be a tad saltier. Overall, if you're craving Hong Kong diner food, Baby Cafe is a great option in this part of town. I would definitely stop by again for lunch.

Also got an iced HK style milk tea. Price for everything was around $80 after tax before tip. Pros: - Very easy parking, lots of spots available in the lot - pretty delicious food with pretty generous portions! Everything tasted pretty fresh and not over-rich and not over-MSG'ed. - Cute vibes inside - very Asian millennial and the trees inside are so cute haha. Very good placement since the tree close to the door blocks the door from shining blaring sun in your eyes if you're sitting facing the door - The milk tea was delicious??? - Pretty good service, food came out quickly, check came back quickly - Chinese-speaking and English-speaking friendly - Very easy to share dishes family style. I think we'll definitely be back!!

Perfect for an afternoon pick me up. Some mint on top and not overly sweet. I ordered something straight from the menu and it was just right as is. I spent some time here with a very close friend that I just didn't spend much time with in recent times. Covid and other reasons I suppose are to blame. Not a greeting or any kind of acknowledgement. To top it off, she had me repeat my simple order from their featured menu several times. It wasn't like it was loud indoors. And she made it seem like I was an inconvenience. How much more obviously rude can you be? Maybe she wasn't having a good day but she seemed fine chit chatting away with the fellow baristas afterwards. Not my type of Philz if workers here pick and choose who they want to service. Other than that, they have plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. I do like the spaciousness of their outdoor seating. Parking can sometimes be a nuisance even tho there's a parking lot available. Oh and their featured drinks tend to seem a little too sweet. I plan to stick with my philtered soul. Name says it all. But, not so sure if I'd frequent this location.
